Mine sounds like the pump. I replaced it and it's still hard and tight and not turning. Now the guy told me I need a new Rack and pinion..but none of that is happening wth😢
I have iron filings in the steering fluid- just replaced rack as was getting grinding noises at full wheel turn low speed - but was it the pump at fault?
This video was really helpful. Let me give a break down. My P/S pressure hose developed a leak..(this whole time my vehicle drove perfectly fine.. slight noise from the P/S but I had to be topping up often because of the leak.) I had my P/S hose repaired, after reinstalling and filling resovour with fluid, initial start there was nice from P/S pump but I move steering back n forth to get the air out the system. I don't have a P/S bleeder valve. Very very very slight noise from P/S. I took the opportunity to replace my inner and outer tie rod ends and sway bar links. When driving the vehicle now, the steering is very stiff and only frees up when I give it gas!!! ... lol..... Ive pulled my lines to ensure fluid is flowing and nothing has changed. Barely any noise from my pump. There is absolutely no leaking from my rack n pinion n there was no leaking from my p/s pump as well !!!! What would you say is my problem now........???
@@jhaybeebuyat1560 i ended up changing the P/S pump and it seemed to solve my problem but I still have noise and slight stiffness.. I think the noise is from my pump. It is a used pump..When I get time I will b buying a new pump but I also question the repair don't to my hose. Thinking about it, I don't think I was comfortable with the opening of the opening of the hole. So I will b pulling everyone down to inspect em... what issues are u having right now ?
My stirring light flashes when I start my car and I was told the power stirring fluid was under my front passenger side fender and i took my tire off and no power stirring then I found out it's electric I still haven't done nothing to it .
My steering wheel gets a little stiff only when i come to a complete stop and turn to the right, when i do a quick stop and turn right its normal but only when its a full 5+ second stop does the steering get a little stiff, truck drives normal no noise or anything said in the video lol idk wtf to do 😅

My pump work good at good speed but at a dead stop its hard to steer
Can't locate steering fluid for mark x
Mine gives the skid warning on hilly right turns and it's constantly thumping and rattling now. It's only a 2019
