What do you think of these 21:9 version of our films? We're sooooo close to 1M subs now. Down to the last few hundred now, please help us hit that milestone this week!
Most, if not all people will be watching your channel on a computer or perhaps a television, in either case the 21:9 format makes no sense. In a video like this one, the format does highlight the scenery quite well however, but I don't believe it should be used for all reviews. Another idea would be to use 'variable ratio' where you go from full screen to 21:9 for the dramatic scenes and then expand back. To be honest, if you filmed this in a 4:3 ratio, people would still watch it just for Henry...
i didnt noticed that tbh...ur video production is soo damn good...i forget everything else😂❤️ btw love u guys...first video i saw of yours was buggati chiron...ever since then im here ❤️✨
Carfection and their video quality is incomparable. Put this video on a good monitor and it's like you are there with Henry. It's like watching a Hollywood movie ❤️
I sat in the passenger seat of this car over the Sloc on the Isle of Man, driven by a rally driver. 150 mph through the corners, not a word of a lie, and 170 mph on the straighter bits. Unforgettable but scary as f***😬
M5 CS and M2 CS are really the pick of the bunch and the rest just don't do it for me at all. Seems BMW's way is to hit big, or miss big and not much really in between.
I disagree, I think the lineup is incredibly strong right now. They may not all look as appealing as those of yesteryear but they seem to get the nod as far as driving dynamics go. From standard series to M performance to M Power there seem to be very few bad choices.
"Yellow lights were also much easier on your eyes" This has never been proven, where do you get this information from? Taste is personal, but if we talk about thousands of cards and drivers, then some research about this statement might be handy. My experience in the eighties were that being blinded by yellow headlights was very well possible. The myth about yellow lights was definitely debunked when France changed to white with no problem.
I think it's worth pointing out the enormous potential of this engine as well. BMW left a lot on the table, a few simple bolt-ons and a tune has you sitting around 800-900HP and 900-1000ft/lb of torque (at the crank) depending on how much you want to do. After doing a full exhaust and tune on mine I can say it's a night and day difference from an already impressive car. Having something that's more than comfortable enough for a cross country trip is great, being able to walk pretty much anything on the road rain or shine is even better.
You are truly the best presenter on TH-cam when it comes to the Automotive world! Bravo, Mr. Catchpole, well done as always with your presentations. The quality of production is stellar, the footage is just as it should be. I would imagine sort of like that M5CS you were driving. It's good to know BMW has again set the bar for the rest of them... Thank God all is not lost... I will have to seriously consider finding one of these to place my rear portions into. I have no doubt it will extract the same feelings in me it has in you. Thank you Sir, your ability to share your feelings about something many of us feel the same passions, to one degree or another.
This review is brilliant. I've seen it many many times and I'm sure that the style of this review is what brings me back to this channel. The calmness, that steady flow of it... Big thanks to you!
It makes me extremely happy and, simultaneously, extremely sad that this car exists. Sad, because this car represents the last of the internal combustion engine - at the very peak of its development by the best and brightest at M-division. Thank you, Henry and Carfection for doing it justice in this wonderful vid.
As a subscriber from the xcar days, the car youtube scene has blown up hugely in the past couple of years. But from the beginning the team has never compromised on quality and structure, and moreso theses days, I feel like the format of telling a story or sharing a journey with cars has been something that Carfection does best. I honestly don't know why the channel isn't well beyond 1 million subs already, but keep up the good work, and thank you for the amazing content throughout the years!
How have I only just found this channel... by far the best car reviews I've seen & your cinematography is second to none I'm a little addicted lol good job there's plenty of old content for me to catch up on 🤣
That short film with Clive Owen, that was so awesome. BMW did a few folks with Clive Owen around that time, and they were all amazing. This car looks gorgeous as well actually. Lovely film :)
These days people say BMW M cars are not what they used to be. And with the SUV M cars, you kind of understand where they are coming from. But then, they come up with something like this M5 CS, which is among the very best M cars ever- not to mention the M2 CS & the latest M3/M4 - and you think, well, when BMW really put their heads in to it, they can still come up with awesome M cars!
No NA engine, no real ///M car. Fake sound through the speakers. Of course older BMWs were better. I'd an E36 or E46 over this boat any day of the week.
While I was taking the Easter service my friend was getting whisked around the 'ring in one of these as they now have an M5 CS as the Ring Taxi. What a machine!
My favourite saloon of all time is any M5 - but this CS seems to be, from all accounts, the one to have. Fantastic vid Henry and team, you guys are in sparkling form.
I'm an AMG fan, I admit this is the "governor" of super sedans. I'll take it over any petrol, hybrid, or electric super sedan. That includes the crazy fast Tesla Plaid yet screaming " drive me if you can with that yoke steering ! And the Hellcat ; the most affordable super sedan yet also screaming " launch me if you can ". Wish AMG came up with a lighter E63s, and little bit extra power .
Nothing can beat a good M5 in its category, it really is that understated supercar killer for people with taste. And thats comming from an AMG fan as well
Please, just don't take such a fucking idiot vehicle like Tesla Model S "Plaid" into this discussion dude! Cars like the M5 CS, Panamera Turbo S and GTS and Mercedes-AMG GT63S are so much better and quicker around one lap, than this fucking annoying piece of shit called "Plaid", which still is just a one trick pony, with still an overheating battery and totally weak brakes, which doesn't can make just one really fast lap! Weak brakes, crazy amount of weight, tire irssues.... All these things are are so totally weak and problematic in this EV, that we shouldn't even think about this vehicle to comparing it with the best of German high performance four door vehicles! The "Plaid" has the worst build quality, it really "shines" for just a few seconds of acceleration from 0-60 mph... But that's all! Actually, I wouldn't even call this thing a "car", because it's just idiocy on wheels!
ace video and best M car out there, interesting that this actual car is currently up for sale at Park Lane BMW with 1 previous owner. doesn't mention its an ex press car thats been ragged for most its life
Usual masterpiece of commentary and insight from Henry. Amazing footage and setting to show off the M5's qualities. Please fez up and reveal where it was filmed. My guess is mid-Wales.
I’m sure I’m late…1M subs was never in doubt. From day one this has been a stand out channel. The presenters, the visuals, audio. What a fantastic team you are Carfection. I’m sure it’s not been easy and you’ve likely had ups, downs. What you’ve got clearly is very special and works really well. Keep going, onwards! Here’s to a cracking future for Team Carfection🍻.
When Henry drives a car for us, it is always a special moment..he conveys far more than details, figures and the boring 0-62 times that nobody really ever achieves nor uses day to day. He brings clarity and precision to his comments and you really understand what makes a car special or even especially bad..that is a rare quality. Would I buy an M5CS…not sure..the tired old body design does not help and the performance is largely unusable in the U.K. so no..but with £60/70,000 off and a full dealer warranty, it might be a good idea in 12 months time.🙃🙃🙂
@@imkap1278 sadly you are right…certainly in the first few years but the problem with BMW’s is that a configured then slightly modified 520D can so easily look identical. If the car was a special design with sharp looks unlike any other model then it certainly would be at a premium but I am not sure that an M5CS has any visual sparkle so will lose ground in the market where buyers demand attention, glamour, noise and a certain childish “Cave Man” appeal.
