some things you should be aware of before buying .
1. the footage of it detecting people and tracking people while parked is stock footage , this is a red flag , why did he not test the parking AI himself . the fact that he's using footage sent by the company shows collaboration between the two . this is not the only one , all reviews of of this product showing that same stock footage and not being tested independently are knowingly covering up the fact that parking AI does not work .
2. it's not the worlds first 360 motorized dash cam . i bought mine 10yrs ago and was looking to upgrade to the parking AI they claim to have.(mine is no longer made )
3. i paid $90 for mine , and a lot of the features that this camera has to be hardwired for came standard when plugged into a lighter socket , such as parking surveillance , motion detection , not draining your battery ,
4. no rear camera option .
5. other than the voice commands and warnings all the technology on this thing was out 10yrs ago.
The 4G and the hardwire are two totally different things. The 4G is cellular connectivity and the hardwire is to tap your car battery
You're right... but he's right, too: the UP03 hardwire kit is for keeping the camera running off the car's battery when the car is locked (parking mode), the UP04 hardwire kit offers the same plus remote alerts/viewing/car locator. The 4G module is actually on the hardwire's... wire, which powers both the camera and its 4G module.
Can you please suggest some good models of rear dashcam as well so that can use along with Omni as front dashcam ?

It can do 1080P max. Shame it can't do 4K but it does introduce a ton of cool features. Price for Malaysia market start from RM629.
Have you tried bumping your car from behind? Or from the side? Can the Omni really detect the location of the problem, turn towards it and record? How quickly? Is the recording useful to identify the "vandal"?

Apart the vlog thing, this would be the main use for its rotating neck, but I highly doubt that it works. By the time the camera turns that way, the guy is gone. Maybe it is useful if a car bumps into you - a car cannot drive away so quickly.
at bumps when parked it does two 360 passes then focuses on the area where the car got bumped, like the rear.i have it for 1 year now at it is great with the 4g hardwire kit
The 3:21 OVERLAY is only from recorded video and not live view? I cant find any info about it but you guys kept showing it but dont explain about it.
Energy consumption with one or both of the parking security features on, Drains your battery in a few days.
And a simple thing as the coalition detection, what should be done with an accelerometer that doesn't use more then 2 to 3 mah , already makes this dashcam us about 200mAh/h in combinations with the 4 G module, Without the coalition detection and Motion detection, it just uses 10-20mAh/h including the 4G module.
So the nice advertisement of the motion detections are focusing on a feature that you can only use for a short period of time. Leave your car for 4 days and the changes is high that it won't start. Except if you have a smart car that just completely switched of the Omni.

What is your oppinion of this Omni in comparison with other 70mai such as A800s
I'd say go for the Omni if you want more fun with your dashcam - ie shoot selfies and extremely left/right corners.
But for my other car, I use the A800s which I think is more practical, as there is an option that gives you both front and rear camera. Also, do note that A800s shoots in 4K, whereas the Omni maxes out at 1080P. If high-res is important for you, take the A800s.

Plates are fine but doesn't come with rear cam.

I’ve had my Omni Cam for about a month. I’m using it with my Tesla which has the USB always on. I have my cam set to auto turn off after five minutes which works fine. When I start driving, I need to remember to press the cam on button. Anybody know if the cam is supposed to turn on automatically when I start driving? Thanks!
I think you nees to buy a separate hardwire kit to allow your omni always on instead of its usb cable

How come you can see on your phone while your car parked, there is no gsm connection, you r giving miss information, i have this camera, also motion detection is not activating until someone touches the car.
There is a hardwire kit (power cable) available from 70mai (purchased separately), which also has a 4G module in it. You can insert a SIM card in it and gives 4G access to the camera.

the real question that has been elusive in all videos is will it capture someone scratching my car from the sides? Been watching a ton of these reviews and I'm baffled none of them addresses this simple question.

@@xnabr7603 Or get an aftermarket 360/bird view/surround view camera system (four cameras - rear number plate/front number plate/right mirror/left mirror - and a small control box). The whole thing costs about 80 USD (or more, depending on the resolution you want). It's the installation that is involved (or expensive, if you don't do it yourself), because you have to install four cameras (exactly like a backup camera), then route the wires to the head unit (into the small box, which then gives you a video cable to input into your head unit). It is similar to installing a backup camera - but four times.
True, it's more for parking (and very useful at that), but it also captures video 360 degrees around the near outside of the car.
I ask the official channel, for now it can't be paired with rear camera. That's the down part tho.....
