As the camera is mounted on windshield, how good is the rear view behind the vehicle?
Hi TechNave, now only I get to know about Omni which seems suitable for my situations.
Would like to know about the rear recording if somebody tried to do something stupid (eg: scratch the car on right or left or rear) would this Omni able to detect the motion or gravity?
Instead of hard wiring, can I use a USB power bank and leave it plugged in and powered on all the time from that source?
No the USB power bank usually goes directly off with the engine is turned off or 5 min after the engine is turned off
It won’t powered up after you turn off your engine

A car pulled in front of me and I had to slam on the brakes so hard that the wheels skidded. I missed the car by centimeters. The 70mai omni was oblivious to this, yet it triggers at speed bumps or potholes. Also, someone hit my wing mirror causing it to fold. No evidence was recorded by the camera. Suspicious activity detection includes yourself after you turn off the ignition and people parking in front of you, opening their boots. Lots of false alarms.
I am unable to figure out how to upload updates to the camera. I just get error messages.
I bought and car was vandalised the same day. No camera activity showing the intrusion. I paid a professional installer $150.00 to install this camera. Completely worthless

I've had the dash cam Omni for over a year now and while it's slick looking it's not reliable in the parking surveillance mode. The camera is easily distracted when there are multiple targets around your vehicle. I recently had my bed mat stolen out of the back of my truck and it didn't capture anything. Do your self a favor and buy a dedicated rear view dash cam.
Great video. Can the dash cam be removed from the base? While it's attached to the windshield, just in case it gets too hot outside and you want to bring it inside.
I am interested in the surveillance feauture. What happena if a suspicious person approaches from the sides?

My Omni pans to the sides if it detects "unusual" activity (and me if I wait too long to leave the car after turning off the ignition). Sometimes it seems to have false triggers (with the car unattended) and it will pan to the sides. Maybe birds or trees blowing in the wind can trigger it?
If I let someone borrow my car, can I track their location as they are driving with live gps updates?

Very detailed video. You showed a black circular device seemingly gly on your dash top. Is this required for Internet connectivity, or does the camera house 4g connectivity?
Hi yea, If you want to have real time monitoring and get instant alerts, you’ll required to install it and put in the 4G sim card

useless vid review. Only everything in the front of car, so advance and yet can't even be sure if it will detect and capture someone scratching at the side of a parked car.
I found it's usefulness greater than zero :)
