    A huge improvement over the default action editor this should be native to blender.

    Next generation NLA editor, huh? This is an awesome workflow for this addon, i don't have money but this is really wild and useful! Thanks to blenderboi, the same guy he did the Game Rig Tools addon. He's a cool blender addon coder guy.

    Kudos for the developer blenderboi for making it free for Frame Ranger users, I recently purchased FR not so long ago and thought this might be a successor, was going be saddened if the recent buy was nulled by another addon. I'm a 3.6LTS user and will be for a while, but will have to check this out when 4+LTS? comes into action. Looks like another great addon from the developer.
    On a side note: I need to up my game for making blender TH-cam videos :D

    Would this addon allow me to combine FaceIt facial mocap with my body animations (NLA strips)?

    Cool stuff! :) Would you say this works well in combination with Game Rig Tools? Loving that plugin and from what I can tell this plugin could be nice to sort the CTRL and deform animations.

      Yes, the addons can definitely be used together to help organize control and game animations 👍🏻

    Needs a 'distribute all/selected along timeline' to work with UBGE and other game engines that want to grab the start and end frame for the action from a single timeline/action.

    Maybe this is a dumb question. But with these add-ons we dont need to use NLA?

      Hi. The addon has nothing to do with the NLA. I am not sure where the confusion comes from. There have been a couple of people with similar questions.
      Please elaborate. Maybe something in the video leads people to this conclusion/question.

      ​@@CGDiveFrom what I understand, the NLA system puts animations together and transitions can be created between them. In this add-on, from what I see, it has an actions box, which I deduce that each action from what I see in the video is an animation. With the Add-on is it not possible to unify any action we want on the same timeline?

    Excellent attempt to make Blender more usable as Movie making. Can you please make a tutorial where we can use same file over and over again to make different scenes with different characters as we could in Unreal Engine 5 (champion of movie making) using same level in different sequences with different character just active and inactive the appropriate characters for the scene. At least I don't such thing in Blender may be in scene properties of Blender but please make a tutorial.

    do you know if theres a way to use this addon where it doesnt change the clip length? I like the ability to be able to preview animations and work with them like you would in a game engine, but I was wondering if it was possible to get back to the main timeline and use it to compose longer clips. I want to cut and layer bits of different animations together to create a music video.

      @@tinkerboi Oh wow, thank you so much for the reply. That would be AWESOME. I kinda wonder if it might help if there was a checkbox or toggle above the selection panel, like a "preview animation" checkbox maybe? I was also thinking after playing with it, if this functionality is more fleshed out, the ability to push down at current time position might be a really useful feature.
      I admit I'm still kind new to the NLA so I might be misunderstanding the way it is intended to operated, but I've been trying to use the strips kinda like video/automation clips like you would in an audio or video editing program.
      When you import FBX's that are setup for a game their keyframes usually start at 0, so you usually have to drag them out to where you want them to be after you push them down with the default workflow, which is kinda clunky.
      If this is default functionality I apologize. I think this plugin does an amazing job at helping organize and visualize the actions and I think its one of my favorites I've found so far.

      They are different thing actually, this does not layer animation

      Yep, this is unrelated to NLA. I saw another such comment and I am not sure where the confusion is coming from. This addon helps with managing individual action, not combining them etc.

    Great addon but as soon as a rig has FK and IK working at the same time things go to hell. No to say this is a problem with the addon, but just something for people to keep in mind so they don't pull their hair out thinking it's the addon like I did.

      @@CGDive Like i said it wasn't the addon. It's a workflow issue. For example A project I am working on relies on a base posse library that is FK. However the Rig is switchable. So a base pose is added to the FK rig, the IK is "snapped to the FK" and then fine adjustments are done with the IK rig. Once both FK and IK are in the same pose you keyframe both. Coming from Maya this wasn't an issue typically, and it's easy to forget sometimes.

      Tips: Frame ranger is free but no longer get updated anymore in future but for 4.0 version below it works
      (4.0 should in theory work as well but is not gureenteed)
