My wife and I have been researching campers as we'd like to pick one up in the near future. Videos like this are incredibly helpful. Thank you very much, well done.
Excellent tour. My current (soon to be replaced) camper is a 1992 Lance 480 (9'-6" long) with a nearly identical floorplan. The main difference is an additional pantry next to the fridge and a bit more counter space. I enjoy seeing the ideas others come up with for storage, usability, etc., including your ideas. Mine doesn't have the ducted heat to the bathroom, so had to leave the bathroom door open at night to keep it warm enough in cold weather. This weekend, I'm replacing the fan motor in the furnace because after 26 years of use, it is squealing due to dry bearings. Although I won't be using this camper any longer, I'm fixing the fan for the next owner. Like you, I'm a light sleeper, and every time that thing came on, I woke up. I like the idea of the Wave 3. My next camper, which should be completed this month (Mar. 2018), is a Bigfoot 25C 10.4 with a unique floorplan having the dinette and kitchen in the back half, and a dry bath up front. It will have a basement too for greatly needed storage. Being older now (of course), I'm tired of wiping down the walls of the wet bath after each shower, but it needed to be done. The new camper will also have a solar panel to help keep the batteries charged for boondocking, as long as I'm in an area out of the trees. I've never really needed a generator, so didn't purchase one with the new camper, although it will be generator ready in case I change my mind. You have some great areas to camp in your part of the country!
I bet your excited about your new Bigfoot camper. Those are good campers. I like the two piece shell they have, less likely to leak. I hate having to squeegee my wet bath out every time I use it. But it is a must if I plan on using the toilet without getting wet. Have fun with your new camper.
Good Educational video...I Think most people don’t realize, how big a slide in / Truck Camper is ... Especially when they see all the room/ Space, and Storage , one has , to offer... MY UNCLE, Always said , a truck camper is the only way to go...
That's a good idea. Was thinking about taking the drawers out from underneath my stove and putting in some AGM batteries. The outside battery box is right next to it. But then again, I would be loosing some valuable storage space when I take the drawers out. Thanks for the comment.
sometime you can get large tractor batteries used but in good enough shape for camping,, from your john deere dealer...buy a couple on the cheap, and when they are done, take them back to john deere dealer and just swap at no cost for another pair,,,my dealer lets me do this as hes not out anything except at the front end which i pay for,,,then the rest is just swapping for a friend...regards...
I use to have a full size broom in my camper, but I really didn't have anywhere to store it out of the way. So I bought the broom off of amazon. I've had it for several years now and still works like a champ. I love my Lance to. www.amazon.com/Camco-43623-Adjustable-Broom-Dustpan/dp/B000EDUUG2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480384588&sr=8-1&keywords=rv+broom
I might later on. I really should though talk about my front hitch, where I got it and how it was installed. Good idea Traveling Man. Thanks for watching.
Very detailed comprehensive tour of the interior. Is there storage under the bed? What about the exterior? Any solar? Issues with the roof? How much propane? Batteries? Thank you.
Thanks David. There's no storage under the bed. I don't have solar but do plan on getting some in the future. Was thinking about not installing the solar on the roof since I disperse camp a lot in forests, and would like to have the ability to move my solar panels away from the truck into the sun light. I've had no issues with roof leaks, but did have a leak around the front window. I had it repaired and left the window out. I have one battery and trying to figure out where to install a couple more. With truck campers, not a whole lot of space to work with. I'll be doing an exterior tour coming up soon. Appreciate the comment.

Out of everything in the camper, the bathroom is the deal maker. That's freakin' excellent!

I have to agree with your Uncle. I will always have a truck camper.
You're the man!! Glad I found you and subscribed! Thank you!
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks for posting. I'm looking to buy a truck camper. Your video shows much more than can be seen on manufacturer's web sites.
Glad it was helpful!
maybe a good place for extra batteries is inside truck bed ahead of wheel wells, with a plug to connect to camper when you load it onto truck .

I set mine up like that.

That was a great video! I’m just about to buy my first 845 and I loved your video thank you
Thanks Christinne, You're going to love your 845. I do mine....
very good review,,,for any type of camping. I have 845 also,,so it was extra great for me....many thanks
Thanks Bill. I love my 845.
I enjoyed your interior tour, do you have a exterior tour of your lance??
I sure didn't, that interior tour was one of the very first videos I did. LOL I never did an exterior one.
Do you have a video that shows the typical cost to operate your rig for a month? I'd be really curious to see how that works out.
I don't. Everyone's cost would be different depending on how much you spend.
Nice camper! Haha I thought it was a peeled potatoe as well
Thanks. Glad I wasn't the only one. Lol
I need to find one of those brooms. Did you get that at Walmart? I haven't seen one of those! Nice camper! I love the Lance truck campers!!!

Have you or could you do a video of your truck and the tool box mounted to the front hitch. Like your vids.

looks much bigger than i thought it would be, nice set up
Looks like you have more storage in your camper than my 14 foot jayco. I just don't have a heavy enough truck. I Like your Ford
Thanks Tracy. I do have more than some, but not more than a fifth wheel. LOL There's never enough storage.
Hi...what truck bed size can this model 845 sit on? Thanks so much.
My 845 sits on my 2011 F250 short bed.
@@DispersedCamperMan ok..thanks so much!
Nice.
Thanks Sally!
7:21 lol
nope.
You could sell that rock to a potato farm owner
Lol. I could. But I think it’s neat looking. I’m gonna keep it.
