That's the Macedonia pond. Some call it the Fiddler pond. It's in the Oden Ranger district and probably why Womble hadn't heard of it. The Ouachita River divides the two districts in that area. Muddy Creek WMA is a collaboration between US Forest Service and Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. That pond and the John Burns pond were built about 30 years ago.
Happy Thanksgiving Folks! I'm getting caught up on my videos I made over the summer and this spot I found was back in August 2020. I'm still in Arizona running around and loving exploring this state. Thanks for watching folks!
Thanks mark for the time and effort you put in on these spots I'm at muddy creek spot now. And have camped at 5 of your spots and will keep going. I love the fact you put the coordinates in to make it a easy find really and truly thank again.
Another nice one, Mark. I'd like to make it there someday. I appreciate the well done video. Thank you and stay safe. I'm looking forward to your Arizona videos. That's my winter residence.
@@DispersedCamperMan Now that you've spent enough time in New Mexico and Arizona to have an idea of what they're like, I'm gonna suggest you eventually check out Utah. It's always been my favorite state for scenery. Lots of dispersed camping. One more thing about Arizona: Be careful about going too far north during the winter. Sudden snow and ice are not at all out of the question, especially above the Mongollon Rim.
Thank’s Rick. Utah is on my must see list for sure. I’ve been staying around Phoenix area and south of it due to the northern part of the state is too cold for me. Lol. I’m hoping to stay in Arizona for several more months to really explore the dispersed camping areas out. Thanks for watching!
hello from the sunny colorful ozarks mark! thats a very peaceful area and not to bad of roads. thanks for sharing and enjoy your thanksgiving!!! tight lines and cheers!!
Thanks 👍 It's all public lands, set aside for the people. The public needs to know where these places are and given a chance to visit them themselves. That's my opinion. Thanks for watching!
That's good to know. Do you know where online it says that? Maybe a map or article? I stopped by the Womble Rangers Office for that district in Mt Ida and they didn't even know it existed. LOL They were looking on their maps and couldn't tell me the name of the lake. LOL Thanks for sharing!
That's really a beautiful peaceful place. If this virus ever ends I'm going to make it out to the Ouachita National Forest Area next summer. I kind of stayed right around East Tennessee for this summer. As always, I enjoy your videos great to see you. You stay safe and healthy.
Beautiful free campspot! My wife and I travel in a truck camper as well. We try to do free camping 95 percent of the time. Thanks for sharing this info. We hit your red button as well. :) We will be headed to AZ shortly.
Cool spot. any sign of Alligators at that lake? THANK-YOU for adding a link in your description with spots you have been. I researched Ouachita Forest for 3 mo. to make a trip up there (Houston based) and overland camp. Tough to research dispersed camping spot's off Google maps for that area and the videos I watched did not pin point locations. All good thou. I went in late Oct. 2020 and the area did not disappoint......the weather did thou. Rain and low clouds 4 of the 6 days I was there. at Mt. Magazine you could see 30yds in front of truck at best. Will be going back soon.
No alligators. Most of the alligators in Arkansas are further south from what I've heard. Arkansas weather is hard to predict for sure. Even the weather man has a hard time predicating it. LOL Glad you enjoyed the forests. And definitely come back soon!
I’m pretty sure it was decent, or I probably wouldn’t have stayed there. lol. Gotta have my cell service. Further down the road there isn’t any cell service.
I would have liked that! I was here last August 2020. I'm still in Arizona for a couple more months, still exploring this state. I do love riding the dirt roads of the Ouachitas though.

Good to know. Thanks for sharing the info!
I appreciate the way that you show us all these campsites. Been to a couple of them. They’re always good.
Thanks Bruce! Glad you liked them.

Wow. Nice spot.
Yes it was!
Awesome videos, all of them. A single guy with a truck camper and a motorcycle, just like me. I'm riding a Yamaha TW200. Stay safe, well and positive.
Thanks Daryl. You to!
Wow. I'm going to try to get that spot next weekend. Whenever I'm in Arkansas, I search your videos for the prime campsites.
Lol. Have a back up spot just in case.

Hey Mark! I camp at that spot a good bit. For reference, the lake is called Macedonia Pond.
