This is my favorite mod by far. I haven't used the ini file settings to get young or eggs yet, but I definitely need to do that and get some space back from the Natural Babies mod. I only wish you had shown the Archaeopterex in this video as it was changed to grip your shoulders leaving your hands open. Nice way to travel around when you do not have a flyer yet.
There's so many to talk about with this mod lol. But i too love it, looking forward to using it again in the new series.
I think I’ve had more fun stealing eggs from wild dinos, versus the old taming methods for old faves. 😂

While my favorite mod has to be Additions or AC2, this mod is by far the most necessary to have in your game. It makes so many useless dinos actually useful and worth taming. The recent changes that allow Deinons to spawn nests on any map, nests and eggs spawning all over for any creature and the ability for juvenile of any animal to spawn as passive tames... All amazing features. If you don't have the mod then please try it out!

Amazing!! definitely one of my favourite mods by far :) the corrupted Wyverns and Rockdrakes now spawn random nests with hatchable eggs on Extinction, griffin's and rock drakes are breedable.

I found the corrupted drake nests, but I haven't seen any other nests or juveniles
I have found the nest too, but I can't breed them even when the option is on...

Have been considering this mod before, but been hesitating about doing so. But! When you mentioned one can breed the griffins?? SOLD! Gotta download and try that!
For sure, i would recommend any PC player to use this mod, It sort of caters to everyone.
@@HarvsCorner Definitely agree with you there! -Did install the mod on my PC and used it and oh my so, very worth it! (Baby Griffs and the others are adorable! But baby griffins are a new fav next to Otters and Shinehorns!)

As for unguarded nests. I noticed this in the playthrough I started today. There was a family of turtles on the footpaw island peninsula, two adults a baby and an egg. I wondered off to see what else was happening. When I came back they were gone except the egg. They might have been killed by a jelly, though. A few of them were near shore.
A little later a Barry made a nest by the house I built there. Then I went to make coffee and the Barry was gone too. I know wild barries don't normally fight jellies, but a misplaced attack meant for a fish could do that. Seems a little too coincidental. I hope parents aren't despawning.
Did you ever figure out the despawning issue?
the tek griffin is so beautiful, i like how kraken gave this tek griffin very unique and fancy model, reminds me of a chandelier

The tek griffin model was actually created by someone else called Zythera. The model was used in the mod with their permission

Do these better Dino mods apply to the variants of each one as well?

So, a question, is it possible in the ini of a server to pick and choose which dinos are modified with the Kraken treatment and which aren't? Even though I don't play PC yet, I just wanna learn how beforehand for when I do. I'm mainly wanting to keep the vanilla version of every dino minus the Liopleurodon, Styracosaur, Stygimoloch, Deinonychus, and the Tek variants. Is that possible? And if so, what do I put into the ini to make it possible?
So i do not think you can pick and choose. However what you can do is cancel the KBD spawning all together. Once you tame any creature that is vanilla (with the mod installed) you can change them to a KBD dino in their options wheel. That MIGHT help with what you are trying to accomplish

@@HarvsCorner Now that I look it up, I do believe that using the "replace character" ini, I can remove the ones except what I'm wanting, but I'll have to wait and see when I get the opportunity to play on PC

Passive taming babies is kinda confusing as if I get close to something like ab baby giga, it will run away and I can't feed it, even if the parent is dead
Agreed, i find running immersive taming with this helps a lot
Does this mod conflict with the Carno TLC mod, damaging diplo mod, and the better theri mod?
Not sure about the theri mod, but i believe the other two will override the KBD. Should also give you the option to change to KDB after you tame them

Ik im late and all, but i tried to spawn and tame aberrant spider and i tried to use the mod to have a breeding pair and use them for this mod but it doesnt work, like i tried to use the spider ability to walk on the walls and stuff like that but cant do it, any tips or something?
Spawn the spider, and hold E over it. Check options and see if you there is an option to Convert To Better Dino. If thats not there, not sure

You can hold E, go to options and change the Trike to a KBD Trike

You have to manage your steam library. Find the game and check its launch options. You can type disablehibernation there
