I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

Apologies folks. NO Servers are closing! That was my initial reaction to the news, but re-read it to understand it as otherwise. That reaction was meant to be edited out.
Raas I got three rhynio from social club today. One was a level 185 and they come 100% imprinted already but only 5% mature. They hold a bunch of meat so it fine to raise. I spent about 75 thousand tokens to get three. Two were not that good but the 185 is really good.
On the playstation can you acces the chat by using L1 and options at ones.
Snail going under doesn’t necessarily mean doom & gloom for Wildcard & Ark. Snail could be forced to sell, hopefully to a much better company, and THAT would be fantastic news for us all.
A timeline where Wildcard gets sold to a publisher like Coffee Stain Studios (Creators of Goat Simulator and publisher of Valheim and Deep Rock Galactic) would be incredible.
Very risky. I got Kerbal Space Program 2 on early access and now Take Two has closed the studio and has left us with an unfinished game. The thing is they want to sell to another company, but are asking for too much and they would rather sit on the IP than lower their price. This could be the same if things go bad, as this philosophy is present industry-wide. These companies can only be tamed with spoiled meat, you know.

I hope snail games does go under and a more reliable company purchases the rights to Ark. it’s an incredible game, an A tier game even, it just needs more TLC .
unfortunately it’s very unlikely that will happen they own them they don’t lose them unless they sell them so basically if they did go under with how petty and how they have been treating their other failed projects and games they give them a skeleton team to keep it running barely and then they leave it as is on steam and whatever else so unfortunately that’s what they will most likely do if they go down unless they sell it to stay afloat
@@popecomrade5389 pretty sure the own the ip to ark but not studio wildcard so they probably cant transfer the game to another skeleton team they can just cut an amount of funds from them which would be detrimental to the game but not the worst thing possible

Don't have much faith in Snail games. They've proven themselves to be good at losing money and making knockoff games that nobody really likes. Hope they don't drag wildcard down with them (look up how they lost a huge sum on money trying to start an e-car line in china).
4:15 having no player lists is a good thing for PVP as it makes offline raiding harder
But at the same thime is the worst in the game bc without player list you can't report players called "123" "human" "survivor"
Just to be clear, the Pyromane was NOT nerfed.
What got changed was actually a bug fix. The dropped item cache when cryopodded disappeared in 4 seconds, instead of the normal amount of time for an item cache. This means you had 4 seconds to pick up the item cache after cryo'ing the pyromane if it had items in its inventory.
This was not a nerf, it was a fix to this bug. Now the item cache expires in the normal amount of time.

They fixed it now, and it has the same timer as any other creature.
Raas the expire servers were there just after the center launch(8th of April) they are not new, they just allow people to start of the center and then move stuff off so there is not loads of empty servers :)

I say let Snail go under and get WildCard back in full control of it. Snail has been a plague to this game, and it is certain they bought the game so they can leech the profits to make failed games and so their tribe can control their own part of the game with a red iron fist.(TEA on Conquest)

I'm actually curious now. Can they even nerf the Pyromane that much? Like if they nerf it a lot, wouldn't all the folks who bought it just get pissed off and say "I didn't pay for a nerf to it?" or something along those lines. That is now just something I'm curious about with a lot of the premium creature mods.
They should nerf it for pvp only
Nerfing paid content is generally not something you should do as it can open you up to a law suit, I play world of tanks console and any time they have nerfed a tank you paid for they always had a window where I'd you wanted you could get the gold back you spent on it
they absolutely could do this and they have every right to. If you look at clash Royale they release a broken card and put out a 50 dollar deal to max it out which is the only way to stay competitive, to only nerf the card to uselessness weeks after release scamming their player base. should ark do this, no. but they also should not release the best Dino in years under a price tag and put it in game to kill players who didn't pay to tame it. insane

@@kanivo- depends on the country in the US there are consumer protection laws against this kind of stuff etc if you buy something even virtual and devs change it that goes against the laws as you altered the product for the worse after they paid for it.
This has nothing to do with patch notes but using actual dollars to buy. A product they make worse after release, again it's why wargaming for example always offers a good refund window if they change tanks people used real moneys to buy
Hoping the future holds some TLCs for the oldest Ark creatures. If they can do all this Club Ark, I think they can update a creature or two.

I believe the reason why gen 2 taking so long is definitely because gen 2 is so demanding there are still crashes on the ps4 version when going in rockwell garden but it was definitely grove street working on ASA making it get delayed

lol I still had the saddle sitting bug on the monarky community server just yesterday 😂 but I never minded that bug myself. We had invisible alpha dragon a few weeks ago but managed to beat it still. Was wild to not be able to see it though for sure.

Maybe a minor bug but they broke trap doors and hatch frame collision again. Have to remove the door entirely and add it back if I want to climb ladders this way.

Shastasaurus got seriously broke this update. The door way sometimes won't let you in and for some reason EVERY structure in the sub can't be interacted with, such as my sea tame cryo fridge and my tek generator. If they don't fix this quickly, rip having power and rip my dinos. Also you can't look at shastas now with the tek binoculars unless you're 10 feet away from them which is kinda annoying
My friends and I play on my non dedicated server and its sadly riddled with numerous problems that i doubt will ever get resolved anytime soon. One major issue we seem to run in to a lot is any time im near a cave entrance, anyone on my server teleports to my position regardless of where they were...
I think that’s purposefully so everyone has to do the cave I still hate when it happens though.
"Non-dedi" is basically single player with sprinkles. It has limitations like the tether so that you can host guests in your single player save and it will still run like single player. If people could spread out all over the map like on a real server, it would be likely to cause crashes and other big issues. Because your lil home machine is not the same as a professional server, doesn't have even close to as much Ram etc, and in non-dedi it's running the game for you, rendering all those graphics, and also keeping track of everything for the guest players too. Keeping everyone together means the rest of the map can be in stasis and the machine only has to keep track of every item, every creature, every resource node, etc., in one area at a time.

Interesting news for Snail, now we know why we have paid for creatures. Increase some cash flow to the company. Most of their older and newer games are all on sale in Steam right now, another bid to get cash. Their stock price has been on a steady decline, over the last year dropping from the $2.00 mark to just $.94 today. Is delisting the end of the company? No, but those who invested in the company at any point are screwed. Of course, if you buy now while it is low, perhaps they can turn it around...... nah probably not. lol

Since summerbash update. I been mostly relegated to staying at my base since the game keeps crashing. Scared to lose my tames or item's from a random game crash. So no flying allowed.

Report it to their help desk. What is complaining about it in a TH-cam video's comment section going to do for you? Wild how many people just go off on tangents saying the devs break everything but don't do anything to actually get it fixed.

Also what makes you think they don't know about it? You think this the 1st time this happens? Have you met Ark? They need to use that dlc money to bring in more programmers and testers instead of wasting it on other fruitless ventures.
It's not all fixed.. with the update came a cosmetics bug as well. Many people hear the chain link fence placement sound and in general cosmetics are causing crashes/disconnects frequently. I didn't believe you even have to have any installed. Basically you can't really leave base at the moment. I saw people on various platforms talk about this. At first I thought it was only the chain link fence mod, so I reached out to the author and they said there's not much they can do until a dev kit update. Or ya know, WC could hot fix it. I'm pretty sure it's cosmetics in general though, not just the chain fence, that one just happens to have a custom placement sound. It not only causes the crash, but hinders performance slightly, as the game kind of "jitters" now when approaching bases, when before it didn't.. unless they had an oasisisaur. I really do hope they address this soon as is I'm sure the x3 is basically ruined for many people, not being to really leave their bases n all. Raas, use your WC influence and tell em k? lol
erm i was just on the island 40mins ago and NO i still sit side saddle or backwards. so they did not fix that
Edit: also the 4 second decay bag for pyros is not a nerf. it was a bug that the have "fixed" have not tested today so it might drop a bag with normal decay timer on it now.

My xbox single player has no holiday file in smithy even after making a new smithy. I also dont have any colored dinos after dino wipe. Not sure what is going on. 😢

Companies sell properties when they're in the red. Ark is the cash cow, so it's unlikely to do that until the last breath. better the devil you know, but theres always the possibility that a new owner might be more favorable for the game. could also go the opposite way, I guess.

Why can’t non dedicated servers be cross platform, the whole reason I bought the game was for that feature and I still can’t play with my friends unless I wanna rent a server like what is this shit, the game is literally on cross platform for official servers which everybody hates, or private servers which take a computer to run the server and if I had a computer than I wouldn’t need the game to cross platform cause I could just buy it in steam, like wtf

I had picked the game back up, put around 50 hours into it, and then got hit with the pyromane pay to win creature...
That was a hard pill to swallow that they were going to start going down the pay to win op creature route but swallow it I did and I kept playing trying to stay positive....
Then directly after that, they patched the game to put out a paid power rangers pack and it completely deleted all of my mods and broke my server beyond repair causing me to lose my entire playthrough... This was complete bs.
I just cant support WildCard and their game anymore. They are so greedy this time around and I have a feeling it will just get worse and to make things even worse they don't seem to give a crap about the stability of the game or player experience as long as they can milk more money out.
This game has so so so much potential to be a masterpiece but sadly I feel the devs greed far outways their love to make the game the best it can be and I'm not going to play a game that cares more about quick microtransaction cash grabs than the player experience or the players losing all of their progress.
In 'some' fairness, it's not Wildcard getting greedy. It's snail games. Not saying wildcard is inoccent in this, but it's not all their fault, some of these wierd decisions.

You would have to give more info on the crashes like when it happens and if you use mods or not. There's just so many factors

I run a bunch of mods on my server and never have any issues, but I've tested them in single player and it's crashed and performed poorly. All we can hope for is the upcoming engine upgrade makes things better 🙏

I will not play official until my ping is 100-130.
I spent my first week or 2 playing official, and id never have played again if not for un official.... i dont care about toxic kids... i like punching back... but not at 150-300 ping.
Those first 2 weeks i was ready to throw my controller against the wall.
7k hours on rust kids... i aint no noob, just have better standards for where my money goes...
Oh man. Been there. Started on rust, went to ark (singleplayer to learn the game, then official). Nope. Official is cancer. With no admins in sight ever. Play on a unofficial server! PvP or PvE, whichever you like. There's a lot of really good ones, with thriving healthy playerbases. Just join one with at least 10 people on and no really cheaty mods and you're sure to have a good time.
Ive got 3.2K hrs in ARK so close down all servers so i can stop playing this. Mwahahaahaaa. 🤪
