Such a bummer they over junglified lava island. I really like the tropical aesthetic with the rest of the map but on that island in particular it was not needed
I just really wish they wouldnt use sandstone for literally everything. It looks so monotonous now. The beaches, ocean and cave sections look super cool, but everything else looks washed out and not unique

They did kinda ruin the lava biome with all the trees but its still a good map with tons of high level creatures to tame. The puzzle cave is really cool too.
This map is ridiculously hard to play….. Most nodes are in the water & the water is over saturated with eels & megalodon….. Making the early game extremely difficult to play

The “twice the size” comment is a misunderstanding. They specifically were saying the Center is twice the size of The Island, not twice the size of its old iteration.
I agree with the ocean part, they do a really good job giving it more harvestable resources, that makes me want to live underwater, which is good sensation to use the Shasta
I'd say it's red dirt not sand, kinda like Australia's outback. So it kinda makes sense since snow places can have red dirt. I think of lava island as it's been 100 thousand years since it was created and trees grew back since the lava is in a river instead of overflowing the land. ALso the bigraptor probs will be on any map the thezi is, since it's the same spawn
That's fair I guess. I don't think so, the community voted creatures are meant to be map exclusive from what I gathered. Like Shasta will be Center only, Fasolasuchus Scorched only and so on and so forth so I was very surprised to find the Gigantoraptor but I guess we'll find out in the future XD
ice palace looks so out of place, it's not even icy, more like a carved out piece of snow from a different game just dropped in. not even snow on the ground or the giant crystal
Yeah, I was thinking about mentioning that here also, all they needed to do was add more icicles in the cliff face and plop more snow on the ground, no idea why they made it look so stupid!
Yeah it can, don't cryo it though, because you won't be able to throw it back out. This got patched recently, as you could tame them then cryo it and throw it back out where you could access their inventory. I'm not even sure if they eat any food any more after claiming. Let me know if yours mature to adult!

I'm definitely going to check all of these out! The new areas do look beautiful, although I do agree with you when it comes to the snowy biome area being mostly sand (even though there is the iceberg and penguins in the middle 🤔) and the lava island etc looking a lot less lavary haha 😂 but otherwise The Center looks amazing!!

Can you elaborate on the element for boss fights, please? Do you have to actually loot their corpses to get element or does it appear in your inventory? Also, how much element does Gamma give? Thanks!
So I have only done Gamma also, so you will have to loot the bosses to get the Element from killing them, which is the same as ASE, I believe 20 from the Brood and 40 from the Megapithecus (On Gamma) the loot crate that spawns after the fight is done will offer an extra 20 Element on top of the Element from looting the bosses, I haven't had chance to try Beta difficulty yet! So should be a total of 80 on Gamma!
It's preference I guess, to be honest I only dislike the Lava island style and skull island, i'll get over the sand and snow combo XD I've heard a lot of others dislike more tbh haha but yeah i'm definitely not surprised people like all the changes too!

First time I saw that water I instantly thought "Does this mean that spinos will be viable? How about Baryonyx, sacros, the glass canyon kapros? I will admit that spinos are among my top favorites. Lava Island and snow biome does make me sad. The snow biome is my favorite and I want the snow.

I think the snow biome is supposed to be more of a setting like Canada during early summer. Lower elevation is still cold but not cold enough to snow or freeze. Higher elevation does have snow and freezes. It does look similar to the desert biome which may be to limited rock textures. Personally though I haven't found it out of place for the new environment the snow biome has to offer. At least it doesn't totally feel like the desert biome where there isn't snow. 🤷
Yeah it definitely could be worse, I guess it's because the area was so green inbetween the snow before in ASE and it rubs me up the wrong way seeing it as yellowy sand XD

Nah you don't. It originally did have to be downloaded as a mod, they implemented it into the base game after which was a better idea! No idea why they decided to make it as a mod when it first released!
@@jesuschrist5294 Single Player has always done that with artifacts and loot crates, it's the only game mode where nothing spawns naturally as intended :( You have to either hang around the area for a while before things start spawning in or you can try leaving before entering or when inside the cave, that sometimes allows crates and stuff to respawn straight away!

They are everywhere mate, all very close together, here's a few coords to help out: 62.8 - 90.2 , 52.9 - 91.3 , 42.8 - 91.3 , 28.8 - 91. Just swim up north from first coordinates or directly south from the last coordinates and you'll find them easy, right next to world barrier at the deepest part of the ocean and all these spots have more metal swimming further into the underwater cave, surprisingly it doesn't seem too hostile but I wouldn't take my word on that XD
Sadly not anymore, I think they can be claimed but they won't eat food anymore, it got patched in the recent update :( something along the lines of that anyway!
Part of how scary it was exploring the sea was vast empty spaces. I hope it still feels like something could shoot out of the emptiness and eat you whole

Yours are still good though :D...I used to be a photographer before I started doing this so I guess that would help to understand the settings a little, important to have all your graphics settings on the highest possible when using photo mode, even if the game lags, it'll be fine once in photo mode! using the fog command helps a lot too in most instances!
I was disappointed with lava island, looked like trop island 3. Skull rock was drastically different. Copy pasta from Atlas imo, so many trees you can;t see tames on the ground to tame.

Just my honest opinion, I don't hate it, it's mostly just a sarcastic take XD but don't you think it would look better as a complete snow biome joining the 2 mountains perfectly together? I never understood the random Iceberg that was surrounded by normal grass haha.
@@BEYPlaysGames well yeah it would but if you look at some taiga end etc there are places where there isnt a lot of snow or there is no snow at all but still icebergs in water. Also they could change the colors of terrain in other biomes i kidda dont get why ground is yellow nearly everywhere like that jungle on volcanic island could habe black sand or something it would look way cooler ngl. And that biome we talking about right now could habe dark green grass with a mix of snow and not just be covered all with snow
Personally i hate the new arena the old one was honestly better. Im genuinely upset at them removing the spawns in ratholes as well as nerfing alot of pvp base locations and treating it like people only played the game for PvE. Thank god for ASE. ASA isn't completely bad theyve done some decent stuff but not a lot and have done the game a big injustice and doesn't listen to their community at all. They removed official orp servers and are trying to make it a ptw PvE game and it breaks my heart. You can't even spawn in ratholes anymore its depressing.
I see you didddnt talk at all about the area yoh claim may be an expansion If you go down there with a water tame, you'll find nothing No textures No mobs No foliage Nothing Its not even got a floor texture Its completely unfinnished

@@BadBanana Yeah that is the down the waterfall part, that is just broken, there's loads of open mesh holes too that I found like that, that is just the map being incomplete, the part i looked at through the map is the opposite side of the map, it's still very detailed for being outside the world barrier!
@BEYPlaysGames interestingly there's more terrain data and prefabs placed outside the world border than inside at that part It's not broken the bit I'm on about It's linked with the rest of the ocean You can literally see where the interns gave up and just stopped placing prefabs

Because I have explored the map very thoroughly and the only things i've noticed that sounds like that is the waterfalls at the edge of the map having zero water, it's just completely bare and looks like a giant mesh hole that is inside the actual map and also seen something similar inside the underworld cave! I wouldn't talk about that stuff in a video like this though, this is showing new features not bugs and bad map development 🤣
They ruined center map for pvp official.. only one decent cave now. The rest is bs... the element increase is good but no one wants to farm out all the blubber,sails etc.. its very long. The center was a dud. The pyromane is very broken. Its literally a shoulder mount ai flame thrower. Plus more broken things like mounting instantly off shoulder. For pvp this is a very broken creature.

The Eels and Megs don't bother me but the Xiphactinus, they are literally everywhere and kill everything :( They need to be less aggressive :(

On ASE i had to go to valguero to learn the climbing pick engram to farm that loot crate before sinacrops arrived. Now its fixed on ASA and its great.

Weird I’m playing solo with official settings and I can use grapples in the puzzle cave

Yours are still good though :D...I used to be a photographer before I started doing this so I guess that would help to understand the settings a little, important to have all your graphics settings on the highest possible when using photo mode, even if the game lags, it'll be fine once in photo mode! using the fog command helps a lot too in most instances!
I was disappointed with lava island, looked like trop island 3. Skull rock was drastically different. Copy pasta from Atlas imo, so many trees you can;t see tames on the ground to tame.
Yeah there's waaaay too many trees all over the map, I like wood but not that much XD

@@BEYPlaysGames well yeah it would but if you look at some taiga end etc there are places where there isnt a lot of snow or there is no snow at all but still icebergs in water. Also they could change the colors of terrain in other biomes i kidda dont get why ground is yellow nearly everywhere like that jungle on volcanic island could habe black sand or something it would look way cooler ngl. And that biome we talking about right now could habe dark green grass with a mix of snow and not just be covered all with snow
Personally i hate the new arena the old one was honestly better. Im genuinely upset at them removing the spawns in ratholes as well as nerfing alot of pvp base locations and treating it like people only played the game for PvE. Thank god for ASE. ASA isn't completely bad theyve done some decent stuff but not a lot and have done the game a big injustice and doesn't listen to their community at all. They removed official orp servers and are trying to make it a ptw PvE game and it breaks my heart. You can't even spawn in ratholes anymore its depressing.

@@BadBanana Yeah that is the down the waterfall part, that is just broken, there's loads of open mesh holes too that I found like that, that is just the map being incomplete, the part i looked at through the map is the opposite side of the map, it's still very detailed for being outside the world barrier!
@BEYPlaysGames interestingly there's more terrain data and prefabs placed outside the world border than inside at that part

@@BadBanana Can you tell me the coords of that area? Because I have explored the map very thoroughly and the only things i've noticed that sounds like that is the waterfalls at the edge of the map having zero water, it's just completely bare and looks like a giant mesh hole that is inside the actual map and also seen something similar inside the underworld cave! I wouldn't talk about that stuff in a video like this though, this is showing new features not bugs and bad map development 🤣

They ruined center map for pvp official.. only one decent cave now. The rest is bs... the element increase is good but no one wants to farm out all the blubber,sails etc.. its very long.
The center was a dud. The pyromane is very broken. Its literally a shoulder mount ai flame thrower. Plus more broken things like mounting instantly off shoulder. For pvp this is a very broken creature.
Other than high level wilds, they are ruining the game with the amount of foliage they have been adding. Hate it
