@@ButlerBranding yes please! Me personally I don't like the client asking me about hours spent on a specific task. They always seem to want to micro manage or ask how come this task took 1 hr and a similar task took 2 hr they feel like they are getting taken advantage of. Would be great to hear how you guys handle that. Thanks
So im just restarting my company and I have a city that wants to put me on a retainer. Im a fire truck mechanic. Since im a one man show, im thinking offering them 40hrs a month at $100/hr and honor the rate for the rest of the month if they need me to come out again. Is a retainer suppose to be paid in advance or after the work is done on my part?
Why does your company use hours instead of cost based retainers? What are the pros and cons of each?
Its just a preference, for now. There are definitely pros and cons of each way of billing. I think I smell a new video topic?

I’m not necessarily sure how that works as a firetruck mechanic working for the city. We charge our retainers upfront.
