Was seriously ready to buy a 2016 Acura MDX but after visiting three different Acura dealerships, I was disappointed with the unprofessional staff. Simply lousy used car sales mentality from the 80's. Went to a Honda dealership and bought the Honda Pilot EX-L and saved $14k over a comparable MDX. More importantly better service and low pressure. Acura must really be hard up for sales. I'm so not happy with Acura treating both my fiancé and myself like crap that now I want to get rid of our 2012 Acura TL and get a real luxury brand like BMW or Mercedes.
I know this video has been around for like 8 months but one thing about the front sun roof is that if you open the glass panel via the button and the shade is closed it will open the shade as well. But you always have to close the shade by hand.
I love that you make videos with you wife. You should do more videos with her as she brings different points of view you might not otherwise consider. A place for your purse, that is actually one that is important for me. I do a good bit of traveling myself, and having my purse out of sight at a gas station or someplace like that is an important safety concern.
I agree about the volume knob issue....why on earth is Honda taking that away on all of their vehicles? Also those cheap looking armrests do not look comfortable for long drives. I'll pass on this.

Impressive, Melissa :^} Luckily you took the high road and didn't respond, "No honey, Honda considers A/C an unnecessary standard option. It's only available as an expensive $2 thousand dollar upgrade".
This is the absolute "top of the line" version that the average joe might not be able to afford. I wonder how the middle of the models version would compare to this one....Did it "down shift" smoothly in Drive and a bit rough in "Sport"? Thanks
I willne pruchasing the Honda Pilot this year. I really like this cross over SUV, I love technology and saftey. This automobile has blended both tother rather nicely. The lane keep assist is awsome, the collision avoidance is pretty good to. The elite hasauto-sensing wipers with a 9 speed transmission. There are some problems with the 9 speed in slow traffice, but where I live, heavy traffic is two cars on the same freeway. Most of my driving is at highway speeds, traveling 30 minutes before getting to the next town. Heck, Walmart is a 45 minute drive.
Dave, from your rear view camera angle in this video. It looks like the driver would have a hard time with the "looking over the shoulder" view due to the headrests. Was this the case? I liked all the "pockets" in the cabin. It was nice to see Melissa too. Keep up the good work.

I think there's less of a difference feature-wise between the '16" Pilot & the '16' MDX than in year's past. All for about $7k-$10k less. Thx again. Would be interested in your mileage following a week or so of driving on a variety of roads (city/hwy).

He's not going to be taking the cars he gets off road anymore. Seemingly more manufacturers are willing to loan him more test cars of he doesn't scratch them up. The new Pilot has less ground clearance, less departure and approach angles than before. But, the new AWD system is much more advanced, similar to the SH-AWD system, giving the Pilot vastly better capability in snow, sand, wet roads, etc. You are not going to be taking this thing on the Rubicon.
Jeffrey Kee Yes except in 5 years this Pilot will be worth $15K and a similar Traverse will be worth $8K. I love american cars, but those in the biz know Pilots are almost commodities and hold value very well.

Dave did you know with this transmission if you were in drive and open the door it automatically goes into park without you doing it!
