This was an amazing performance and I remember it well!! I have loved Whitney Houston since 1984 when i first heard her magnificent voice on the radio. She was truly America's golden girl and sweetheart in 1991!! It pisses me off that after all she did and meant to this country and the world that people 10 years later were so cruel and made her a laughing stock with parodies on comedy shows and stand comedy routines - when she was clearly in trouble and needed help. I wish the media had been kinder to her too - maybe she would still be here.

But, aside from that, her song choices, chord changes, and vision for the song, was stunning. It was so uniquely hers that you get the feeling she could have written the song herself. She stayed true to the song, especially in the beginning, but took the song into a lane of its own I can almost see this on a CD.
