    Thanks a lot! This video has been so helpful and thorough in explaining the steps. I was wondering how to save these steps in photoshop, like we can do in Lightroom as presets, so as to repeat them on different pictures?? Thanks!

    Thanks for sharing! Just curious, couldn't you do all those selective color adjustments in camera RAW?

    • @justinlaurens
      @justinlaurens  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question! So Color adjustments in camera raw allow you to adjust the Hue/Sat/Luminosity of each Color but the selective Color allows you to change the Color altogether by mixing in other colors into that Color you’ve selected/targeted - kinda like a paint 🎨 palette. I usually start with that then head to camera raw to make more refined adjustments once the base Color is to my liking. :)

    Why are photographers going for this look these days? When I was formally trained in photography our portrait instructor would put circles in red marker if we handed in "Blown Out" portraits like some photogs are doing these days. LOL I do like some of the looks but if it takes your eyes away from the subject I don't agree with it. I like to shoot in HSS and balance everything out. BTW, when I studied there were no digital gear, we had to dev. and print all our photos. The old darkroom days. LOL Good video Justin.

    • @justinlaurens
      @justinlaurens  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha I know what you mean. I think when used tastefully & sparingly, overblown Highlights (and crushed Shadows) can have an artistic feel. Of course, it's all about knowing how and when to use it. That being said, I do love the HDR look too - especially with photos captured in high-contrast settings. That's magic to me! 🤩

    • @justinlaurens

      I'm just using Photoshop Creative Cloud (CC), it always downloads the latest version. Just go to the Adobe website and click 'download Photoshop'. It should work 👍 Let me know if you're still having difficulty.

      One thing I would recommend is to practise with as many photos as you can before doing Photoshoots. It’s takes time and patience but you want to improve your skills before the Photoshoot so that you make good results for your model.
