This trick applies to Dji air 2s height limit. It is an easy trick to unlock the height limit of any DJI drone without any software or computer. Enjoy

For people living in very mountainous areas the 400 feet limit makes it impossible to fly, since the drones height does not reflect distance above the ground.
I have the mini 4 pro and am trying this but it goes back to 120 meters it doesnt stay at anything higher

i have tried this numerous times and each time it reverts to 120 m. every time i slide the max altitude to 500m and press OK it then slides back to 120m

not working anymore. DJI mini 4 Pro, Europe. After pushing the "Agree" button, the altitude jump to 120m.
you mean like me who likes to fly his dji mini 3 Pro drone out in the countryside with poor range I only get 1 mile before my signal goes and I need to bring it closer to my RC controller.
For me, i can set my limit at 500 meters, but when i get to just under 200 meters, it says ive reached my altitude max. I really want to be able to go higher than 500 feet, if that's what they're limited to, that's what it should say when u purchase it, not that it can go 1500 meters high...
yea i couldnt agree more. but i guess what they are trying to say is that if you are launchin your drone at an altitude of say 1000 metres asl then its capable of going tops 1500 mtrs so basically 500 more. because i was wondering the same thing like why would dji say the mini3 can go upto 4000 mtrs when the restriction is upto 500. thats the only logic i could derive.
Because you aren't legally able to exceed 400 ft from ground level unless you are licensed with special ffa permission so although the drone really is capable of it dji had to follow federal law

After it turned grey i could only change bottom 2 ie altitude and distance top max altitude changed to 20m
310 meters = 1017.06 feet 400 feet max height allowed in the US, where are you ? Even 200 meters = 656+ feet. However, Great Information, Thank You

400 feet above ground level. However, the DJI drone is only capable of recording height above takeoff point, not the height above ground level at the drone's current position. When you're flying in the hills or mountains and following the landscape upwards, you can be 20 feet AGL but the controller will think you're hitting the 400 ft limit, Luckily, you can just dismiss the warning on the DJI drones that I own, and continue your completely legal flight. I look forward to the day when smarter drones are released which can give you your height AGL at the drone's current position. Maybe not in my lifetime (I'm older than rocks), but hopefully in yours.

I have mini 3 pro and it always had 500m. How did you manage to get 310m limit?
With these steps you can change the height limit.
In different countrries, they have different height restrictions, where the op is, must be limited to 310 meters.
Unfortunately, when I fly in the mountains, I need it to go much higher than the 500 m limit. That's why I fly Autel drones, which can go up to 800 m.

Very useful! Were you in the EU when you did this? You didn't show the 'default' max height which would be 120m in the EU.
I was in India. But in India aswell the default is 120m. But I'm pretty sure the hack would work in the case with Europe. And if it doesn't then let me know ? I would really appreciate that. 🙏
@@Polaris-droneshots I'm in the EU right now (normally in the UK). Just tried it and it snaps back to a maximum of 120m with no greater value shown. This is a shame but expected as in the EU C0 labelled Drones like my Mini 4 Pro have this limit as part of new EU drone laws.
In the UK I still have the 500m maximum (but a legal limit of 120m).

@@Polaris-droneshots I should have been clearer - I never got as far as turning the drone on, the slider refused to show anything other than 120m! Come to think about it, it was connected to WIFI so maybe the location was known via the IP address?
One hour later...
Tried with WIFI off - looks better for a few seconds and then snaps back to 120m. This time the bar extends way past 120m, and I get a warning message for exceeding this limit, but I can't make anything over 120m stick!
Yea so when it snaps back you have to readjust it.

U said any dji drone i tried this on my standerd dji 3 and it did not work also my friend tried it on his drone and it did not work.
Your video is great, but I had no success on my Mini 4 pro (Europe). After turning off the drone, remote allows you to slide the slider to 500m, then asks to agree, but after that, slider simply jumps back to 120m and does not stay at 500m. Probably a firmware update has sorted out this glitch/hack you are showing?
So once the slider gets unlocked, do not exit the menu screen and power up the drone, wait till the drone and the remote get connected, now change the slider, it should stick to the new height, once that happens exit settings by tapping outside, check again by entering ghe settings menu. And hopefully that works.
@@Polaris-droneshots Sorry, it didnt work, but I declasiffied my DJI Mini 4 Pro through DJI by removing C0 label and now I have 500m, so I am still happy.

@@tiagogomes4114 No, I bought it and activated on January 4th, but still managed to do the declasiffication method by applying through app and sending a photo of removed C0 label (which I did not remove, just photoshopped out).

Hmm on my Air 2s I can set it to anything up to 500m by default, without modding, tampering or anything like that, its how it came from the factory.
yea true its like that with the mavic 3 pro as wel.. but i guess in some like the mini 3 pro and prior to that, the restrictions are upto 120m

The "legal" height limit is calculated "ABOVE GROUND LEVEL" the limit on the drones doesn't factor in hills or mountains so you may only be 1 meter above the ground but showing 120 meters on the drone.....This is typical Chinese thinking at work and its bullshit.
