Brass is soft. Don’t use an adjustable wrench on brass fittings, you need well fitted fixed wrenches. Ideally a 6 point box wrench,

Could be from a check ball for the pressure washer. Theres two for each of the pressure washer pistons. Itll he down on pressure compared to new.

Unless that o-ring broke and then got blown through the pump outlet and jammed there in the trigger valve, though how it got by the side of the ball bearing and into the spring body is hard to figure!

You wrong it does not need o ring it is only the ball

Super simple yet extremely flawed design. The brass will crack due to stress. it won’t take much torque either.
