    The best exercise routine ever
    Simple and effective
    I do suffer from peripheral neuropathy
    Sometimes like knives cutting in, sometimes like burning and intense tingling, sometimes loosing balance when I walk
    I take pregabaline 75 Mgrs three times a day
    But the pain is still here, wakes me at night
    I CANNOT WEAR SHOES AT ALL
    No snickers, no sandals, no boots etc etc
    I survive with crocs!
    I followed your exercises scrupulously and…
    I FELT BETTER

    I have a rare case the Neurologist findings is Sensi motor polyneuropathy now im in wheelchair there is possible me to walk again thank you and God bless ♥️🙏

    I have ideopathic neuropathy and I find that more vigorous exercise in the evening helps a lot. I walk uphill on a treadmill at a fast pace or use an exercise bike. This helps tremendously with sleep since symptoms tend to be worse at night.

    Long term exposure to chemicals and it can be caused by some rather nasty diseases I'm 72 and been tested for aids,hepatitis and syphilis twice i started to get a bit offended 😂 but i did grow up in the sixties i suppose, anyway I learned a new word at least idiopathic. I work on core strength and balance and run 3 times a week. Exercise is the best thing for me. Good luck

    Seated toe movements; heal raises; ankle & fist pumps; stand, (stand) 🎉spin & sit with arms crossed at chest; stand and lean forward; stretch back leg muscles with heal extended up while sitting! 👍🏻

    Surprised to find you have not mentioned chemotherapy as one of the major causes of neuropathy. I have had 8 cycles of chemo which has led to severe neuropathy in my feet. The doctor has prescribed Pregabalin and Gabapentin, but these only block the pain. I do not have pain, so I have stopped using these medicines. It is the numbness that is causing me a lot of problems. However, I have started the exercises recommended by you and I hope this will help. Thanks

      Having developed foot neuropathy after chemo 7 years ago, I have tried to just live with it. But as I’ve gotten older, my balance has become an issue so I’m trying to improve. These look like good, easy exercises to do daily.

      Cipro and other antibiotics can cause many serious neurological symptoms that may cause death or permanent damage. I had about 20 horrific symptoms. After going off Cipro, most symptoms disappeared gradually except severe feet neuropathy, fingertip neuropathy and eye pressure, eye pain, ultra sensitivity to light.

      @@ARVIND88ful My husband was prescribed Gabapentin for on-going pain following chemo. It did reduce most of his pain, but he gradually developed slow and foggy thinking without even recognizing it. When these changes were pointed out to him he decided to wean himself off. Gradually his pain returned but so did his brain! So he's pursuing other methods for pain. I wish you luck friend.

      This Is Very Helpful. I've been doing half of you stated here. Learned something more today. Been having neuropathy ataxia issues for 9 months now. I was a strong leader at Amazon working hard & I took the COVID-19 Johnson shot & downhill since. I've stopped driving due to lack of coordination, off balance, weekness esp the legs & feet but for previous years I always had cold feet. But the cold feet for much more worse. Before COVID my feet were cold Nov - March, now cold all the time. Looking forward to full restoration/complete healing, & going back to work. I thank GOD Amazon has short & long-term disability. But with long-term disability have to apply for Social Security. I cried as I filled paperwork out knowing where I came from. These situations shocked me...

    My neuropathy is caused by injury and arthritis in the spine….now with spinal stenosis in 4 places, the worst being between L5 and S1. I am now 88. I am intolerant of pharmaceutical pain killers, so I take CBD oil twice a day, a high dose, which is a great help as an anti-inflammatory. Some great exercises, thank you.

      How well does CBD Oil (in addition to exercises) help with pain with pins, needles and numbness?
      I had a brain hemorrhage (stroke) almost a year ago. I also have a history of PN in both leg’s. My pain was controlled with gab and tram, however since the brain bleed (on left side of my brain) I am in intense pain only on the right side of my body and not my left.

      @@susandas1326 Everyone is different; I tried it, and it helped a bit, but it's far from the wonder drug the internet makes it out to be. Very expensive for what it was also.

      I have a 7 level fusion in my Neck i have a family history of disc degen dis. But i was injured while working taking care of severely mentally ill along with developmentally disabled and was generaged to return to work tmrw now this was years ago but when i returned tmrw is when I was really leveled by a self abusive client. 😢i lost my job , my passion ,my future but all and All most importantly i LOST MY HEALTHAND NOW AFTER NECK SURGERY #5. BACK SURGERY. ×3. I NOW NEED A FULL. ACK SURGERY WITH HARDWARE. IN MY BACK I AM NOT STILL..... RIGHT FROM THE 12 HR . NECK SURGERY. YIKES SOON TO BE BIONIC😢😮

    I am a 77 year old woman and have neuropathy in my left foot after I broke my distal femur in a fall last June (8 months ago at this time). I do take GABAPentin and Meloxicam but am still in pain. The pain increases if I ride in a car. I will try these exercises. Thank you for the video.

    I was diagnosed with PN in 2016 after taking a medicine called Isoniazid to treat latent TB before starting a biologic infusion. Unfortunately, it was a side effect of the medicine. In 90% of the cases, it was supposed to go away after stopping the meds. Mine didn't and I've suffered with it since. I tried homeopathic rubs and medical marijuana and the burning sensation got so bad I used gabapentin until it stopped working. Now I'm on 200 mg of Lyrica which helps some but not completely. I'm excited to try these exercises and hope they help my balance. I'm 75 and walk 3 miles at least three times a week and my feet do pretty well, but an hour after walking they are burning, my feet are numb in certain places and I get cramping through my arch and toes. Praying these exercises work for me. Thanks for sharing.

    Great exercises. Thank you. Recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I started walking to aim for 10000 steps per day, which led me to resume swimming = balance & general health improvement almost immediately. Love that these exercises concentrate on foot/hand care-exactly what i was searching for.

      Can I ask did you get medication for you recent diabetes 2 diagnosis? Thank you
      I got very bad both foot pain I can’t walk worse after walk for ten minute
      Did blood test for diabetes get my result tomorrow I hope is not that as I don’t have the usually diabetes symptoms such excesses thirst or urinated. An X-ray fews years ago show severe arthritis and fasciitis try cortisone injection no help
      This video did show good exercise I will do them

    These exercises really work. Also , try gently rolling your feet over a tennis ball for a few minutes. A frozen plastic bottle of water works really well. It triggers the hot/cold sensation and seems to reconnect the brain to the nerves.

    I'm 76 and had two full chemo treatments for follicular Lymphoma in 2002 and in 2005 the latter with heavy chemo which caused the neuropathy (probably vincristine was the agent that did the damage). I have been a racing cyclist doing time trials for most of my life from the age of 14 and have ridden since 3 yrs of age. I can only walk a short distance before my feet give me a lot of pain yet I can ride in rigid soled cycling shoes with very little discomfort. I have discovered many of the exercises in the video for myself over the years and they really do help. I can't understand why they aren't a recommended treatment as I was unable to get on with the drugs I was given to help with the pain and no other treatment was suggested. I am still fit in all other respects and cycle as much as I can in decent weather. I use a static turbo trainer through the winter months when I can't ride outdoors, though I prefer to ride the bike whenever I can as I find the trainer so incredibly boring! I have got over 10k miles in each year for the last 3 yrs and manage to keep my weight around 11 1/2 stone and my body fat level low. The foot flexing exercises are particularly useful for keeping my feet from seizing up and the toe wriggling is very good for stopping those sharp stinging pains which sometimes occur during the night as they can be done without getting up and relieve the toe spasms quickly. I have also found that eating fruit vegetables and nuts recommended as part of a diabetic diet is beneficial in preventing cramping in my feet. I have also been told that alpha linaeic acid (A L A) is a good supplement to try and intend to give it a try this year. It would be good if some more research was done on this subject as I am sure many people would benefit from it as I know that most of us with neuropathy appear to have had little guidance on exercise and supplements. Doctors seem far too quick to prescribe things like gabapentin which often have side effects which are as bad or worse than the neuropathy! I hope that more sufferers will benefit from the exercises and have the confidence to keep trying new ideas to help themselves improve their lives and health.

    One known cause of peripheral neuropathy that is not mentioned here and the one I suffer from is exposure to DDT and other insecticides in young age. This was the case for me as I am now 76 and it was also the case for my father who was raised on a farm in the 1930 s and ended up with paralysis of the hands and feet which terminated his careeer as a surgeon. Of course, DDT has now been banned but the after-effects still plague the older generation. Thank you for the exercises; I try everything I can to reduce the symptoms the have affected me for the last 20 years.

    I got this burning sensation that almost feels like borderline frost-bite about a year after my cancer chemo and radiation treatment stopped. I have worked out my entire life including during cancer treatment and recovery and although I posted about this on my youtube channel, I realized pretty quickly that what works for me is to wake up, take my meds, and immediately do a 30 minute walk on a treadmill or run or really just any movement to get the heart rate up. Once I do this, the pain starts to subside usually before I even get off the treadmill. If it starts to come back during the day, just go get on the treadmill again for about 30 minutes. Some days I might only have to do this once, other days I might have to do it 4 or 5 times but most days twice seems to be the ticket. Hopefully this helps others. I still don't have a permanent solution for "freezing all the time" lol ... but like everything, I take it one day at a time.

      @@ExerciseForHealth I'm just glad I found something that was an easy fix and way to manage it because the alternate solution was something like gabapentin to kill the nerve pain and I honestly try to not take medications at all when possible. On a more positive side, I have no excuse to not work out now and a daily reminder even :)

      Try the carnivore diet and fasting it has worked wonders for me, carbohydrates makes it worse I can walk miles without pain now

      I "heard you" when you wrote "freezing all the time."
      I have yet to find a reliable solution (other than lying in a warm sunny spot) so have resorted to dressing warmly (especially when sleeping at night) and lying on top of a mattress warming pad. Sometimes I can get away with having the pad set on 1-2 now that the outdoors weather has warmed up, but now that my husband needs the house temperature to be cold for him to sleep him comfortably, sometimes I have it turned up halfway.
      I've tried eating more to "stoke" my internal furnace, without success.

      @@ajhibbard5538 I found something else out once the seasons changed, it only seems to affect me if the temperature gets below 70 degrees. Bad thing is, 69 degrees is like 0 degrees to me but 70 degrees is like 70 degrees. Craziest thing ever!

    I never had this until late. I have a wonderful clinic here in my hometown in Canada. I had never heard of the word chiropody and only used orthotics when I was a young lad. These exercises are well known to me, they are also part of the rehab program. The issue with my feels in the feet is that I do not feel how deep I press on the gaspedal (good excuse for the officer - not!!). It also caused me to longer feel if I bumped my foot into something, and even caused me to not feel cuts until it was too late. My family doctor suggested to seek help and so I ended up at that clinic. I go once every 8 weeks, it is almost like a spa day. They will cut my toenails to a proper length and take care of my heels. All I need to do is show up and put a good cream on my feet, each day. Gabapentin is allowing me to sleep through the night, though I think it might have some side effects, I choose sleep over suffering. I am in a better place with my neuropathy and like Arch Angel also mentioned: Stay off the sugar. It is permanent my doctor told me, so chalk that up to age and a rough life.

    I have neuropathy after a chemo session and this video is great ,somethings that i can do. amazing that neither the hospital nor the GP suggested anything to help.

    These exercises are excellent, thank you! Personally I use a high-impact hand held massager on a lower setting and then I massage my feet with my hands and fingers on the sensitive pressure points. I also have an old polo ball that I lightly roll my feet on. I believe that a proper diet is the key one that reduces or eliminates inflamation. Drink plenty of water throughout the day and perhaps a blood test, and an allergy test could go along ways plus adding healthy exercise and a decent night's sleep using vitamin D and maybe considering an excellent qualified natural healer and prayer never hurts either. You gotta really want to heal...anyways, those are my two-cents worth. 🙂🙏

      Can you tell us what massager you use? My mini thumper only lasted a year. It was 200.00, not cheap should have lasted longer.

    I have had PN for 36 years, started when I was 30 years old. It is Small fiber neuropathy effecting my sensory nerves and autonomic nerves, with the heart. These look like good exercises, I will give them a try!

    Thank you. I already had severe neuropathy and they have gotten much worse since beginning chemotherapy. I really like the exercise with one leg out and one hand out. It does seem to help.

    My fiance did a major break in his foot in last June and I have been his nurse ever since. He has been lucky enough to be able to work at home. He has rubber stretch bands for his physical therapy. He has been done with that for awhile now but still does his morning exercises to remove pain for the day before he goes to work that he finally got to go back to. I think it would be a great and better idea if he would do his exercises bare foot . I'm always barefoot on a mat. He has a bolt and 9 pins in his foot. He still ices if needed.

    I have what is said to be rare, anti mag is a auto immune peripheral neuropathy. Gabapentin works for me now but as my pain increases I keep needing to take more. I realize every body is different. My toes are numb, I can’t spread them apart any longer which is certainly not a necessity but I do fear what is to come in the future. I just came across this channel, thank you so much for your patient kindness.

      Gabapentin should never be abruptly discontinued. Please research the long term effects. Gabapentin acts a lot like a Benzodiazepine. You will probably become tolerant rather quickly and develop withdrawal symptoms. Please try other approaches for your neuropathy. It’s such a miserable condition, but becoming physically (not to be confused with psychologically) addicted is a road you probably do not want to go down. The very best to you.

    I can no longer walk due to PN. I have had it for 15 yrs and also have Charcot foot. It's awful my life has changed and is pretty much over. Exercise does help.

    Thanks. I had lupus for 20 years but only recently have problems with my feet. Was told that it was probably from Sciatica. I did have compression fracture in my spine in 1995. Lately I have been getting cramps in my feet when I go to bed. I did find an over the counter muscle and cramp relief foam called Theraworx that does help.
    I walk everyday about 1-2 miles.
    My toes feel like they are asleep. That sensation doesn't go away. I will try your exercises and hopefully get some relief.

    Well done! Many thanks for your suggested exercises. I've had Peripheral Neuropathy for nearly three years and only recently had it "diagnosed." But none of the doctors I've seen had any suggestions for exercises that would diminish symptoms. Their only treatment was meds.

      That's interesting. My specialist did not suggest medication - except if pain becomes intolerable. Sensible diet and plenty of low intensity exercise. (walking - swimming - cycling).

      Me too the doc never mentioned meds but then I don't get any pain just numb from the knees down but I can feel a light touch temperature is my main concern. I've found running a few times a week really good

      @@ppmppm7010 FWIW, since posting here a year ago, I've discovered two over-the-counter remedies that have really made a difference for me. Virtually all of the pain I had when "pointing" my toes or heels with my legs straightened has disappeared, although as best I can determine, not from exercises, other than a daily 45-minute brisk walk. There's no swelling and very little tingling in my feet now, only some numbness in my toes. The OTC remedies are R-Alpha Lipoic Acid and Vitamin K2 MK7. The R version of ALA is very important. The first doctor who recommended trying ALA, advised 30mg/day of the regular version, which had no effect. Afterwords I found two peer-reviewed research studies that recommended the R version at 300mg/day - and that made the difference. The MK7 version of K2 is also very important (as revealed by reputable research), and it should be taken with Vitamin D3. And I experienced more improvement after beginning to take the K2. Good luck with your treatments.

    ECELLENT INFORMATION!!! Thanks for sharing with us. I will be doing those exercises, and checking out the information on the chart. I've seen most of that info before, but it's a good reminder of items that need to be checked and perhaps addressed as possible causes in order to get to the ROOT of the problem. I've been dealing with PN for a number of years, and it has gotten to the point that my sleep is so interrupted with stinging, burning and numbness that my whole body feels like it is on fire. I'm very sleep deprived, and very weary... I prefer NOT to address the problem with meds like Gabapentin (it turns me into a zombie) and some of the other standard meds which have bad side effects for some people and only mask the pain as they do not get to the root or cure the issue. Hoping the exercises will give me some relief! I know you are doing your best to help us as unfortunately, there apparently has been no actual "Cure" for PN as of yet, just some ways to help alleviate some of the pain, stinging and burning. Oh, BTW, I know that feet and leg cramps can be a problem for those with P Neuropathy. I used to get horrible cramps, especially at night. It also has to do with being deficient in Magnesium. I tried various brands of Magnesium and the ONLY one that REALLY stopped my cramps is Magnesium Citrate powder by Nutricost found on Amazon. It can be mixed into juice or a smoothie. It's a little chalky, but doesn't taste bad. Thanks again for this video! May God Bless you for trying to help people!😊

    There are so many unknown reasons for SFN. Many people get a diagnosis of idiopathic small fiber neuropathy. Sometimes first being dismissed as "in your head". There is a test called a punch skin biopsy that can show it's really happening. Unfortunately the first treatment is Gabapentin or Lyrica. For many people, both can be very addictive and difficult to stop. If it helps you, it helps you. For others, certain opioids can help.

    thanks. gonna make this part of my daily routine. btw....i like the tennis ball exercise. i have a family member who is a professional dancer...he does this to keep his feet healthy...but also uses a frozen bottle of water instead of the ball.... it helps.

    I am not a Dr but i have had a problem with the bottom of my feet two years, especially when i pee, the pain went straight after i had a turp for enlarged prostate, and some cancers removed from my bladder, upshot is, if the bottom of your feet burn especially when peeing, check your water works.

    I started taking B1 and alphalipoic acid supplements per my neurologist. The peripheral neuropathy was getting worse in my feet and lower legs as I’m very numb now. According to the tests he did on me. I exercise in a pool. I wear wool felt pads in my shoes which have a wide toe box and zero drop.(that helps)

      I was able to get off Lyrica and Tramadol by using supplements. Alpha lipoic acid, turmeric, moringa, and acetyl L-Carnitine. I have severe diabetic polyneuropathy.

      Try increasing your B12 too. Marmite spread thinly on toast or in a gravy or Nutritional Yeast Flakes can make a difference.

    Thank you for sharing this valuable advise! Another good one that i do may be called ankle rolls or circles? While in a seated position you extend your legs straight out in front of course, and roll your feet a few times to the right and to the left making circular motions. This may help with the blood circulation in the feet. I also have been doing squatting exercises as well. And a good low carb, low sugar diet with intermittent fasting can also help reduce the inflammation as well.

Hopefully this gives many people the message that, no matter their medical condition or age, exercise is an important part of maintaining their health. I was diagnosed 2 years ago with sarcoidosis, which can involve multiple bodily systems.
