Those sneaky voices in your head aren't you! he said that and I began to see them as mental barriers to give some for of resistance to one's life journey. Barriers will always be encountered; it's how we climb over them to keep moving that counts.

I NEEDED this podcast. I am a woman opening a women's sober living home. I have 4 children, and I am in school working towards my degree and have a full-time job. I have felt so much guilt for having to miss some of my children's events. Or nights that I have to do schoolwork rather than play. I hope they see that I am looking at the bigger picture, and I am doing all of this to better their lives and my own.

Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see as a glance of wealth, a great career, and purpose is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who is reading this will be successful in life.

A few of the insights I gained from listening to Emma and Jay:
    ✴Never stay in your lane☺
✴Be kind, it costs so little to be kind yet goes a long way💞
    ✴Live with gratitude🙏
✴Don't be too afraid of failure, step out and do things anyway💪
✴Don't waste time/energy worrying about decisions already made. Make the decision, then make it work!🌟
✴Be the best at whatever you do, even if it's serving tables✴

Regarding motherhood, I truly admire a woman who asserts that her children must adapt to her schedule. I say this as a single mother who has sacrificed financial stability to be present for my child, resulting in significant consequences for both my mental health and finances. Now, I'm shifting my focus towards improving my financial security, even though it means spending less time with my child. Women should not be shamed for prioritizing their financial well-being and personal fulfillment, as these aspects contribute to their overall happiness and ability to be a strong role model for their children. Moreover, by pursuing financial stability, women can provide a more secure future for their families, ultimately benefiting their children in the long run.

Until today, I had never heard of Emma Grede😮 This woman is absolutely amazing! Her story and journey is real and yet extraordinary. Her words hit me in a place that Is it only understood if you come from a certain place and even though she's from across the pond the system and environment/community that held her but that she needed to be released from resonates so much with my story🤯 her truths are so profound and her ability to simplify and share those truths in a way that is positive and not a woe is me story is a gift for me and everyone listening to this podcast. I love her energy, her voice, and her humility. But then there's this level of confidence, drive, passion, I'm not taking no for an answer and you're not taking anything from me power that she exudes even through this podcast!! While watching this I didn't know whether to cry or laugh.... But I extremely proud of her resilience and level of gratitude that she has even at her level - amazing! This interview is just a blessing to my ears. Being an African woman where we are taught to only have as dream being a married woman, as far as O remember, I always believed since i Was 12 years old, that I can gbe ambitious, have a career, family and it all, it just takes the right partner, a very good organisation. From the fact that Emma dropped out of school and did all of these jobs, we have here a prime example of real life challenges. I am a big advocate of going far when it comes to school as I really believe real change comes from the laws and school will most of the Time, give you that place at the table where laws are written, but never consider yourself half human because you couldn’t finish school. All is within you, you have something, that is unique, just shape it and work, remain focus, and then it is all happen. Thank you to these two for this episode.

This interview was incredibly powerful and I LOVED it! However I do have to acknowledge some inconsistencies- at the beginning of the interview Emma said her mother always taught her “you are not better than anyone but also no one is better than you” she said based off that she’s never had imposter syndrome or doubted herself but then multiple times throughout the interview she mentions her self doubt holding her back/having a crippling fear her having a fear of what others think due to her not having a formal education. We’re all human it’s perfectly normal to not always have our confidence at 100%…

this is hands down one of the best interviews I've watched. there is something so refreshing about her perspective. she makes you feel like your dreams are attainable. life made the right person successful. we need more women who are this kind, this real, and this determined. thank you emma. I hope to cross paths with you one day as a fellow business owner building a business of legacy.

This is soooo good, never heard of her and I am hooked now. I would want to be her friend. She's so grounded. It's nice to see a business woman, wife, mother and simply dope human. Loved that she said something near and dear to my heart " I am everything/all the things"

Emma Grede's perspective on the illusion of overnight success really stood out to me. She emphasises that every job, no matter how small, teaches you valuable lessons that contribute to your growth. It's a reminder that success is a journey, not a destination, and every step along the way matters.

The title says that anybody can make a billion-dollar industry... Well, it seems that the statement is true, but untrue at the same time. Not everybody wants to be at the center of attention 24 hours a day, in order to make a billion dollars....Some people love privacy and are much happier spending time alone or with two friends in nature. Not everybody is built in a way to feel pleasure from being on camera every day. For many people, it's losing privacy and personal peace... For others it is exciting but some people find much more happiness by observing the world quietly and reading books or listening to music, or doing various hobbies without wasting money all the time. ....It seems the billon business is only for those who have an idea about how it makes them happy, but it's not for everybody. It doesnt make everybody happy. Some people love nature and a minimalistic lifestyle. They are rich by having interesting hobbies.

Her points about tending to yourself, our position next to, not in competition with, others, the human tendency to project onto others, how we can criticize ourselves more than we criticize others or they criticize us, knowing the voices in your head as tools to use to your benefit...im cookin!! ❤🔥🍳 The grace and beauty and LIFE she exudes is reassuring as this is who imagine myself to be in my heart of hearts. Loooovee this conversation!

I am so glad she's brought up "Imposter Syndrome" because it's been a term introduced to my world, as well. I looked at it as telling your child they have "Imposter Syndrome". We would never do that!!
And I find her perspective that we don't label men in this way interesting as well.

Lead with KINDNESS! That is a beautiful, hoping that more managers/CEO's will take this on. You can be firm but be smart about it. There is no place at work or home for bullying and threatening behavior... My thoughts on this. But this is what stuck out to me on this podcast.

Someone that knows you very well..

Totally agree with the Emma's thought about a mandatory rule- be kind to everyone no matter what ,so that the other person is also forced to think about incorporating kindness in oneself. In reality, i have seen/felt how my small, good deeds ,bring smiles on people's faces, if not forever at least for the moment, when i am around them.
Also, Hi Jay, keep on creating knowledgeable, useful podcasts because someone might just be missing motivation, inspiration or guidance. For far as many podcasts i have seen, I would say your podcasts goes smoothly, correct question means not unnecessary quizzes for the guest.
