oh to be clear: Memphis hit the pick as a stash. No idea if he makes it over, but the pick was totally fine and he has at least positioned himself with a chance.
I wanted Cam Spencer over Newton for my Pacers as he’s a much better shooter and more crafty to me. Furphy at 35 seems like good value based on everyone had him 17-28 on their big boards that I saw. I think Bronny James can be a GPII, Derick Fisher, Lindsey Hunter, Avery Bradley type. Even some TJ McConnell. All of those guys are late 1st to undrafted. He was also McDonalds All American (in a bad class granted) who had 15, 5, 2 steals, 5 made 3s in that game. He was mocked 10-26 for 2024 draft back in May 2023 before his heart issue that kept him out 5 months (which adds to context of why he struggled as a freshman). Had some good USA basketball + Nike Hoops Summit practices, then had 40.5 inch vertical at combine (6th best out of 80 players) and was 19/25 threes (2nd best out of 80 players) then had a solid 2nd scrimmage. Forget his last name just think in what was called one of the worst drafts ever a player who went 55th as former McDonalds All American (who was top4 player in the game), Top20-30 in his HS class, great genes, was 10th on Givony’s 2024 mock back in May 2023 & 13th on CBS sports in April 2023. The last 10 guys who were drafted 55th 9/10 did absolutely nothing in the NBA, and the best was Aaron Wiggins who is an 8th or 9th man. The point is Bronny James at 55 isn’t nepotism at all. At 17 I’d agree but at 45-60 in a historically bad draft is not crazy at all given combine, genes, former HS All American Top20-30 in his class, great interviews.
Giannis is a top 15 player all time whos held back by being in a bad FA market and the worst drafting/developing front office in the NBA. His only help comes from trading all of our assets away cuz Horst cant draft to save his life!
I literally can’t think about anything else with the draft besides the Flip girlfriend drama
Love the pod!! I have been listening to your podcast since like forever.
This video is fire!
Such a captivating upload.
Tarik Biberovic had a great season in Fenerbahce as 3-p shooter

@@GameTheoryPodcastwSamVecenie yeah, he looks quite athletik, knocks hard long shots, and his future very promising
Cam Whitmore only played 18 mpg last year, now has to compete for backup mins with Eason and Griffin.

Quin Snyder cannot develop young players, period.
