    Have you tried any LLLT devices yourself? If so, what were your experiences?

    It definitely works I’m 33 and I had mild thinning I started using lllt I was a bit skeptical like everyone but today after 3 years my hair is like how It was when I was in my early twenties,the trick is to use this treatment early on and not to waste time in waiting for bald spots

    Hi Dr Anne! Lol that picture of the face mask on your scalp, it's very creative I love it. I'm considering buying one as well but I got scared of my previous one that wasn't comfortable to wear. It has certain pressure points that would leave temporary hollowed out dots on my skin from the pressure of the mask (if that makes sense). Have a lovely weekend and thank you x

      Uh, that doesn't sound too good! Mine leaves marks on my nose, but those don't last, so I don't worry too much.

    A study indicates that LLLT may have a detrimental effect on melanoma tumors by promoting blood vessel formation, which can potentially accelerate tumor growth. This suggests caution should be exercised when considering LLLT treatment for individuals with melanoma or similar conditions.

      Anyone with a skin condition or another underlying disease should consult with their treating doctor before doing anything extra.

    Thank you for this great video. I really had to chuckle at the picture of you wearing a face mask on your head because I have done the same thing but in reverse. After my mini Mito box, which I had been using for a number of years, stopped working I decided to try something a little different. I have an IRestore helmet. I have tried using it on my face by holding down the little "on" button inside the helmet and putting my face in the helmet (eyes covered). I was thinking that the red light might help my complexion 🤔- I have not been using it long enough or consistently enough to see if it is doing anything - but after seeing your demo I have started to wonder if using the IRestore on my face might cause hair to grow on my face. 🙂

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That must look just as crazy as what I do does. And I wouldn't worry about the hair growth on the face too much, the hair you have on your hair isn't terminal hair - if you'd use it in the groin or arm pits, there it might work. But that would look even weirder I guess.

    Thank you for this informative video! I am currently using Minoxidil/Finasteride spray with LLLT helmet. My hair loss is stress related, and I cannot get off the minoxidil and finasteride because I start shedding again. Is there anything else you can recommend for this type of hair loss?

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Other than trying to reduce the stress (which I know is easier said than done) nothing specific. Of course sleeping well, eating a balanced diet and protecting the hair you have from further damage is always important to prevent another form of hair loss (or hair breakage) making it worse. Have you seen my video on the different types of hair loss already? if not, I will link it here: th-cam.com/video/7sFCVFCENdE/w-d-xo.html

    I’ve watched a bunch of videos discussing the LLLT studies (all of which seem to have fairly limited number of participants and rarely separate results bn men and women). It seems a substantial number saw no results and for those who did, the improvement was minimal (even if the technicians found them “statistically significant”). From my perspective, the improvement over a fake LLLT device (placebo) was ~5-10%. Not up to 10% overall, but 10% over the placebo. For me, it’s not worth the effort and expense. Rx (as much as I disdain big pharma) seems to be the single most effective means of hair restoration.

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree that medication is probably the most effective thing for regrowth. But even there it doesn't work for everyone - important is that you identify the root cause of your hair loss before you try anything, especially before spending so much money on a device.

    I use a Mito red light panel and I am seeing lots of new hair growth around my hairline around my face. I started using the red light on the back of my head, and I’m not seeing any hair growth there yet. Not sure why or what that means.

    Hi Dr Anne,
    I am taking MINOXIDIL right now since September 2022 it gave good results but I would like to try LLLT because a clinic I visited told that it could increase hair growth. They told me that if start with them I have to stop MINOXIDIL as far as they say that it wouldn't help the therapy with the LLLT.
    What do you think about it?

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, first of all, I would never argue against the advice your treating doctors give you. They know you and your individual case while I can only ever give general advice.
      In general though you don't have to stop Minoxidil with LLLT though, so maybe ask them to explain a little more?

    I have acne prone skin and am afraid of pore clogging ingredients and potential acne triggers in a mositurizer. I would like to know what your thoughts about the omega water cream from the inkey list and the neutrogena aqua gel and aqua cream is. I have watched your video about the inkey list one, but still I am not sure which one of these 3 I should purchase.☺️

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can‘t give you a full opinion as the one from The Inkey List is the only one I have tried so far. I can only tell you that triggers are different from person to person, so it ultimately depends on your skin.

    What's scary about wearing a helmet is, the possible initial loss of MORE hair.
    That would just send me over the edge, since my current loss is at least 40%.
    I do use a redlight on my face, and that has made the hair ON MY HEAD grow BECAUSE I USE AN ARCH (a curved device that you slide under. It covers from the top of my head to my neck) .

    • @DoctorAnne
      @DoctorAnne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It did? I didn't notice that with my LED mask. And that initial loss is hair that would go anyway, so I wouldn't be worried. But I understand that if you already lost a lot, that is more than you can bear. Are you seeing a dermatologist about your hair loss?

    • @karenbcz22
      @karenbcz22 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DoctorAnne - Yes, but it's not a "mask". It's described as "spa equipment". It doesn't touch the skin at all. It's like a little bridge and you slide/recline under it. The lights cover the face, hair and neck. I knew the "bridge" was making my hair grow because I was growing a lot of hair on my hairline above and in front of my ears and it was irritating because the texture was weird.
      No, I did not go to a Dr. about my hair loss because I believe it was due to stress, cigarette smoking and herbal tinctures I was taking. Unfortunately, I realized too late, I'd been taking a lethal combo of iodine and selenium and the herbal pills I took to quit smoking may have also contributed to my hair loss. 😠
