Honest question: How are most of these examples "neuromarketing," as opposed to just traditional marketing techniques (except for the EEG data-driven ones ) ?

Regarding eye contact, many non-neurotypical people don't like eye contact and actively avoid it.
So if you're marketing to people who have a high chance of being non-neurotypical, for example readers, eye contact would be a major mistake.

Here are three popular and highly regarded books about neuromarketing:
      1. "Buyology: Truth and Lies About Why We Buy" by Martin Lindstrom**
      - This book explores the hidden truths behind consumer behavior and how subconscious thoughts influence purchasing decisions. Martin Lindstrom uses neuroscience to uncover the real reasons behind why we buy products.
      2. "Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions" by Dan Ariely
      - Although not solely focused on neuromarketing, this book delves into behavioral economics and the irrational ways people behave in the marketplace. Dan Ariely’s insights are valuable for understanding the psychological factors that drive consumer behavior.
      3. "Brainfluence: 100 Ways to Persuade and Convince Consumers with Neuromarketing" by Roger Dooley
      - Roger Dooley offers practical techniques and strategies based on neuromarketing research to improve marketing efforts. This book provides actionable tips for leveraging neuroscience to enhance marketing campaigns and influence consumer behavior.
