I had this same year XL100 when I was a youngster and it was a lazy dog. I also subsequently had 1981 XL185 which was huge upgrade in power and refinement. Then 1982 XL250 which at the time was a much more impressive dual sport with 6 speed and rear monoshock. Fun to see one in action to refresh the memory of past. However, compared to DR650 I recently sold there is no point in turning back. Crazy to believe the street bikes i ride today have more than 10X the power.
nice bike man. Same as my grandpa 1978 XL 125 but unfortunately my uncle sold it when I was just 6 years old. If only i could go back time I will really keep it. My ideal bike 🤩
It was a great little bike for sure sir. I picked it up for only $750 and didnt do any work to it. Rode it hard for a few months until it wouldn't start anymore then sold it for $1000. Keep your eyes open another one will hit the market. Have to look everyday and be the first in line cause they go quick. Ride safe
@@jaysonsvisions5024 my cousin had its bigger brother a 1978 XL 125 he got it new that summer traded in a 1975 XL 100 for it it was a good bike too and also ran and rode like a dream with a custom seat that someone had reaplostered extra soft cushion and buttons in a criss-cross pattern.
The worst thing you can do to the small bore forestroke like that after a long hard ride is shut it off right away. You wanna let them Idle for 3 or 4 minutes to cool down and then you shut them off.
Do you consider being in a RV camping? We parked there for a 3month contract then left straight to the redwoods. We lived and traveled in the RV and we camp in a tent.
I usually only answer this many questions for my subscribers. Haha. Not loud at all, soft purr but sounds great. Girlfriend is a travel nurse so were always in RV parks and it was perfect for that.
Haha thanks sir. That bike was so badass. It was.my first bike and it was so fun. Great to learn on since it's so light and not to powerful. I rode the shit outta it and needed a upgrade so I sold it and used the money for my klx230. If I had a garage id still have it. I got so many complaints from it and offers on it. Sold within 48hrs.
I love the POV view that's why I bought it plus it reminds me of what I was focusing on. I'm saving up for a 360 camera if you want to donate. I don't get paid for these videos I make them to help the public and for memories

Could a 13 year old ride it?
As far as power itd be perfect. 45mph max and the seat height is really low. I loved the bike
Why go camping without any privacy?
