i like it. 6-71 if in good shape is plenty of engine to race this bus down the interstate at over 70 miles an hour. should get about 10mpg.

    Wow this still isn’t finished??
I have followed this since the owner posted that he had “lost his mind “and purchased it sight unseen . fully understandable being a clipper and all! But so sad to see how much bad luck he has had, a friend of ours here in Australia I think visited this bus after the restorer died and put everything back in it ready for transporting , but I lost track after that. Sad to see the damage since it had been repainted just a couple of years ago. I hope you guys take it on and finish it off for this poor owner in the uk. (And his wife if she will still have him!)

I have found a 48 Flxible in pretty sad shape, but really cheap. I keep thinking about buying it, and completely restoring it with uprades, but man, a guy can sink a lot of money into these old gems. At least this one already as a lot of upgrades with the 6V71 installed, the one I am looking at has an old Buick straight 8 in it now, I think a big Dodge Cummins out of another coach trans, rear end, and all would work well too. The boss lady, whom I have deemed as V.O.R. (voice of reason) keeps getting in my way lol. We are not rich by any means, but if you're handy with some of the stuff it can be doable on a budget. I love the looks of these old Flxibles, they are art deco to die for. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it. What is the suspension under these buses, are they complicated, and how do you add levelers to them?

You are correct sir! Big dodge and all the other goodies from a donor chassis is 💯 the way to go. It is a lot of work though…

@@hightailcustomcoach I can imagine it would be, everything you guys do is a lot of work (craftsmanship), but the end product would make any builder proud of themselves.
