You really can’t make any real concrete judgments off one group per setting.. heck you could shoot three groups of 3 shots with no muzzle device and get drastically different sized groups.
For me to really believe this brake offers repeatable improved accuracy. I’d like to see at least the three groups of 3 shots on each setting. Then take averages. Create a base line by shooting three separate 3 shot groups with no muzzle device. Take the average group size. Then do the same for each setting on the brake. That’ll take a lot of ammo. But that’s the only true way to get concrete evidence. 90 shots total. So not too too bad
I know you’re still a small channel but you should get a scope camera or at least a camera on the target during shooting.
I do agree with you, I’m working on that
@@ocbsquared I still enjoy watching, we’ve just been spoiled by others🤣
@@jasonrad9332 i completely understand, I’m trying to make things better, thank you for watching
Have you thought about just flying a drone to the target, let it rest between shots to save battery...saves you setting up a camera down range, let's you put a camera on any target, at any range?
Bet you $100 if you took the same exact lot number ammo and shot it again the next day all exactly the same you'd end up with completely different results. Tuners do work and there's a reason 99% of all F class shooters run them, BUT you need very good load development first along with a very consistent match grade barrel. Without excellent low SDs and ESs, and a good barrel they won't help. They can shrink groups but not from crappy equipment.
Unfortunately single 3-shot groups don't mean anything. I'd be interested to see if you go back to the settings with the smaller groups if you can duplicate the performance. My guess would be that you can't. There is huge variation in 3-shot group size because of the small sample size.
Why wouldnt you shoot some groups without the brake on the same day?
I just got the v2 EC.tuner break. I put it on a Savage magpul hunter. Im getting ready for deer.
Im using 40 grns of varget under 175 grn berger vld hunter.
No load development. Oal to fit mag.
At 8+ i just shot a 5 round 0.194 group at 100.
Im ready for hunting.
Nice video. My own limited experience, just putting the muzzle break on did a lot. I'm surprised you didn't have a greater shift in poi. From what I understand, you'll have to tune for each separate munition.
Would be interested to see what happened with your chosen ammo.
An observation...your follow through. Each time you shoot you take your head off the stock. Snipers tell me of you want to shoot small groups change as little as possible between shots. Especially your head from the stock. All scopes have parallax. This is what the pros tell me.
Actual tests are in , tuner breaks do absolutely nothing. Science fact !
They do work, but not in this application. There's a reason why the top shooters run them, but those guys begin with top grade rifles and ammo. Tuners will not make crap into gold.
@@patdennis3751 I'm afraid even the top guys who run them are wrong. There has now been several statistically factual tests done by several experts in the field and they have all conclusively proved they do not work. Maybe mentally thinking they work may help people but facts are facts and they prove barrel tuners don't work
Not surprised. Nice video. Cost some bucks to do this video. When a group is fat with two shots it is best to go to another setting. Eric suggests going two settings at a time and perhaps fine tuning between a couple of good settings. Everyone wants you to shoot more bullets to confirm but let's get real those people need to be buying your bullets, don't they? Your 3 shot groups still did show a lot more than a blown two shot group. Again, nice video.
Federal Fusion is inherently accurate - but it may not shoot well in each and every rifle straight off the bat. The good thing is that the EC tuner helps you to find the true potential of your rifle and your ammo.
is the break really working when you are telling us how the groups are going in and out? Shouldn't the groups be either getting tighter or wider and not in and out?
Group #7 was your best group because the fact that it was not vertical!
How much is the break, and do they have other caliber breaks
After these tests, I’ll be getting one for every rifle….
I put one on my 6mm creedmoor. Great results so far.
Hows the concussion?
They work. #12 works for me. I'm getting .49moa at 100yards with ball fmj 147g.
#12? he said his only went to 9
@@johntruesdale1612 That's what he did. I found that setting 12 was the best for me n my rifle. Sporter barrel
You can go past one full rotation and get like three@@johntruesdale1612
@@johntruesdale1612 you can turn it at least 1 more full turn. so I think 12 means 2 in the next turn.
poor shooter....
