    Thank you for the detailed recipe and video instructions. I ate these as a child in Nicaragua. As a non native speaker, I really appreciate the English instructions

      You are very welcome. Word of advice. Use lard. Way better.

Saludos

    Making nacatamakes with this recipe is a breeze! This presentation is very descriptive of the process of making nacatamales. It divides the process into the basic steps: preparing the meat, making the masa, preping the other ingredientts and the envolving leaves, and assembling and cooking the bundles. It also contains a lot of useful tips for the prep process and a list of ingredients for every steps.

      If you have a Vitamix blender. You can just blend in all the veggies and save time.

    Is there a list of the ingredients? All the videos on TH-cam, forcing us to keep watching over and over 😢

    Hey Nicoya! Amazing recipe. I have been making it for years now. Thank you so much for making this video. It’s so well put together. I’ve never had issues making this until tonight. The masa came out too soggy. Has that ever happened to you and if so, how did you resolve the problem?

      Make sure the wrapping is real tight. If too much water gets in them it will make them soggy. i use banana leaf with a good quality parchment paper.

    I sure didn't expect to see a juicer here! This is so associated with raw food and JUICING, a hyper-vegetarian lifestyle as I'm sure everyone knows! It has occurred to me to use this machine to help make soup in general, but this use is very novel.

    did this come out spicy? I lived in Nicaragua for a few weeks and think it wasn't too spicy. I was hoping to make it for my family back home, but my mom can't tolerate something too spicy.

      Not at all spicy. Just don't add any peppers to it.

    Did you use maseca masa mix or you bought some masa?

    • @InitechAuto
      @InitechAuto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't understand the question? I just used the powdered Masseca Masa. It's in the video.

      Nicoya I'm sorry i missed that. My aunt used to buy masa for tortillas, but without lime added to. She would send me to the tortilla store to ask for unprepared masa. Great video! Thank you.
