Swiss Alps | Day Hike: Eiger Trail, Kleine Scheidegg to Alpiglen along Eiger North Wall

- I rode a train from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg and started hiking Eiger Trail. Parallel to the newly opened Eiger Express cableway, the trail is full of wildflowers, and a breathtaking overlook of Grindelwald Valley, and it gets very close to the world-famous Eiger North face wall! After encountering a herd of cows, the trail ends at Alpiglen but I continued hiking up the farm road to Kleine Scheidegg. The view from the train - Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, and Lauterbrunnen Valley is unreal, don’t miss it at the end!

I am glad you didn't miss the last train because you deserved to be able to rest and enjoy the beautiful ride back. I was there over 40 years ago and plan to return and your video makes me want to plan now.

I have been to Grindelwald often since I was 6 years old in 1963 😁.
You must be exploring many places in the area! I stayed in Lauterbrunnen for 5 days, there is so much to explore... just not enough time. I didn't get to visit Grindelwald at this time, I really need to go back there and spend more time in the future.

アイガー北壁を下から眺めて、ここを登る人がいるなんて信じられない、と思いました。この辺りの風景も素晴らしくて、まだまだ歩いてみたいところがたくさんあったのですが、あっという間に滞在期間が過ぎてしまいました。
Was your journey back Alpiglen to Kleine Scheidegg a different route from the Eiger Trail. Is it less strenuous or more than the Eiger Trail? I can see that it took only 1 hour 40 minutes.
The dirt road I hiked from Alpiglen to Kleine Scheidegg was less strenuous than Eiger trail. It was a gentle climb but less scenic. The view from Eiger Trail, especially looking up the Eiger northwall, is stunning! Thank you for watching! If you are going there, enjoy the trail!

It was early July. I don't remember exact temperatures but very warm, t-shirt weather most of the day.

It’s a hiking trail. If they have some hiking experience, I’m sure they can do it.
