Howdy! I was considering pulling the plug on this account and moving on from the cringefest that was TH-cam career attempt, but I was surprised to learn that this video has 13k views, helping put the Wynnfurst beasts in larger channels like VisioRacer. I am leaving the video active so newer audiences can enjoy the cars just as I did back in 2011. When it comes to the shaky subtitles, there isn't anything I can do about them. The master copy is long gone, so re-editing is no longer an option. The only way I can appease the negative crowd is to delete the video, but if that happens it is lost forever. If the shaky subs bother you, enough so that you head out of your way to ignore this explanation and still leave criticism I simply can never address (as explained above), then have at it if it makes you feel good. I suggest ignoring the subtitles and focusing on the footage instead.
you do realize this is TH-cam right? if you're gonna use this free platform, you're gonna have to deal with the whiners and jerks... i.e. gonna need some thicker skin, or you can shut off the comments but then what's the fun in that? Just ignore them and post away. Welcome to the public... for every decent person, there are a hundred jerks. And thanks for this video! I just discovered this by chance, and I've always been a huge fan of the ring ding big expansion chamber angry bees that are the narrowest powerbands and most fun engines ever built in all their smokey ear splitting glory... so this was a real treat, now I gotta find some more on these.
Actually it's based on the Stohr chassis. Just the rear suspension/drive assembly is modified since the original chassis was intended for a chain drive and the Kohler engines use a transaxle.
dsrviola Previous Runoffs entry lists have listed it as a West chassis, so unless the Milelrs themselves would like to correct me on it I'll stick with my assumption that the West chassis has simply been upgraded with Stohr WF1-style aero. Also, I was under the impression that transaxles were standard in DSR cars. This is the first I've heard of the Stohr DSR being chain-driven like in F1000.
DBoy02 Fine, I'll go along with that. The West chassis and the early Stohr chassis are essentially the same. There are very few differences between them. The body work is indeed from the Stohr WF1. I believe Pat Prince did the rear suspension/drive assembly conversion. Only automotive based and non-motorcycle sourced two-stroke motors (Kohler and AMW) use transaxles. Even the Diasio and possibly the Realm Runner, which were never competitive (nor really intended to be) in club racing, utilize the integral transmission of the motorcycle engines while using some type of converter to a drive shaft. They've been running chain drive motorcycle engines in DSR since the mid seventies. The LeGrand, and to a lesser extent the Ocelot chassis were the first manufacturers of the now ubiquitous chain drive sports racers. dsrviola Yeah, the WF1 bodywork is pretty danged obvious and makes for an easy to confuse situation. Particularly since this is one of only two West WR1000s I know of that have had Stohr WF1 bodywork put on them - the other was destroyed in a trailer fire.
I'm just here trying to get an idea of what the proposed "mid-decade" 2 stroke turbo hybrid F1 engines might sound like lol
Ethanmeister Same here!!!
indeed
Likewise
Klotz says their castor based 2 stroke oil is good to 30,000+ rpms.
Thank you! I'll share more videos soon!
The chassis is a modified West WR1000 -- to be fair , a West WR1000 looks a lot like a Stor.

was micheal j fox filming this?
Just noticed all the TH-cam anti-shake stuff. Let me know if it is bothering anyone and I'll re-upload the video.
The newer Wynnfurst chassis is a heavily modified West WR1000.
