Hi, I have just stumbled across this and have a few questions: (1) As set up in that configuration, brake and freewheel on the same axle (which is how my trike is designed) will you not have problems with the brakes if the differential is placed on the axle? I am thinkingthat, with your differential, applying the brake will result in only one rear wheel stopping whilst the other wheel will still be driven by the pedal. No? (2) what does one do for lubrication? (3) can your differential work for standard 15mm diameter trike axles? (4) Are you able to get all the components of each half of the differential lined up accurately with each other? (5) Are you yet able to take orders for these differentials? (6) Finally, a brilliant video; very clever Thanks
You are really talented 🙂 I love the ideas.. but you have sloppy drill press skills.. how are you meant to get accurate holes when you are fighting the torque of the drill with vice grips or you don't mount the vice to the drill press deck.. I understand that you are probably rushing it but it's really teaching people bad habits with tools.. I would like to see you use the tools as they are meant to be used it makes for a better job.. but otherwise I really like the channel and am subscribed.. I have watched several different videos today and the tool issue is though em all but I have also liked every video regardless of my personal OCD
Oh, I've considered that. the point is use a step drill. Its tapered profile provides the same cutting force all around. not much effort to make it centered
