In the mean time I bought a junk craftsman ride on ( no engine ) 42" . I needed the front axle . The small engine repair shop owner said the transmission was shot . Opened up the transmission and saw the the last owner had put it together wrong so it would not shift, that was a fast and free fix . Inside are two differentials . But I ended up using the whole transmission instead. Six speeds forward and reverse .. made a trike out of it . Scooter front end so had front brake and a speedometer. Never underestimate someone else's junk lol . 25 bucks and I fixed my mower, and had a bush bike amazing amount of traction from the 20x10x8 tires that came with the " junk mower "

While I'm not a fan of the housing cylinder (I think that weld is a potentially dangerous failure point), I am VERY impressed with the overall design since it is something I would happily adopt! BRAVO!

Very nice job building an enclosed differential with limited parts! Definite Thumb up from Belize! Looks similar to my unsealed Adult Trike Differential I built for Mom!
