I cussed out the entire Yankee offense. It wasn't just A-Rod. Also Moose choked again as usual. He usually was a playoff loser aside from Game 7 03 ALCS
@@greatestnitemare6626 Mussina was like Greg Maddux....terrible run support. You may think that Maddux was a choker because of his record, but he actually had the lowest ERA in the playoffs too! His defense would make errors on simple grounders and his offense wouldn't score. Like Moose lol
@@winser21 yeah, it was a whole era though. And if we're talking about those who never got caught, how do we know a bunch of Angels weren't doing it too? I'm not condoning it but many teams during that era won with steroid players by beating teams with other steroid players. As far as who should have won or who should have lost in the playoffs I think counting steroid guys is kind of silly and irrelevant.
@@billny33 You’re right, it was too widespread to fully discredit team wins and such. They’re not invalid but if there’s any team that should be the most ashamed of their rampant steroid use, it was the Yankees over a number of years, and my perception is that it’s not even close. I can’t convict any of the angels for doing it because there’s no evidence, but the Yankees have plenty of confirmed or all-but-confirmed cases.
Same night as the Steelers/Chargers MNF game (San Diego's first MNF game at home since 1996) A thrilling Monday night of competitive and compelling action
4:08:04 After this doubleplay and ending this ALDS with no RBI (and in combination with the 2004 ALCS disaster), AROD got booed mercilessly in 2006 in Yankee Stadium; it was unreal how much he got booed in 2006 by Yankee fans, whether he came up to the plate to hit or when he did something unproductive at the plate. AROD hit .133 with no RBI in these 5 games against the Angels. He did have an OBP of .435 though
@@dwedge914 I remember that most of AROD's homeruns in 2006 came when the Yankees were either losing by alot or winning by alot. He also had a brutal time on the field playing defense in 2006, mainly with the throwing accuracy. I can still remember in October 2006 when the Yankees got eliminated by Detroit, and one radio sports network said "That was the most unproductive 300-30-100 season I have ever seen" Remember, that AROD also had a BRUTAL 2006 ALDS against Detroit, that led to Torre making AROD the scapegoat by hitting him 8th
A-Rod had a much better postseason in 2004 than people remember, and the entire team collapsed for those 4 games in 2004. A-Rod did have a go ahead home run in Game 4 as well though. But with that said, I'm sure Alex wanted to crawl into a hole once he was called out at first on that double play.

HAHHAAHAHAH Jaret Wright would've been pitching Game 1 against the White Sox? That's the Game 1 starter? Boy the Yankees are lucky they lost in the ALDS, because the White Sox would've pummeled them, especially that scrub Jaret Wright.
To this day, it is still such a shame that we didnt get a Yankees-WSOX ALCS in 2005. That would have been so fun. Yankees and WSOX played many tight games against each other in 2005. The Angels-WSOX series was so boring, mainly because both teams play the SmallBall-SmartBall style. Jaret Wright had a nice 2004 season with the Braves. Then the Yankees signed him after the 2004 season, but he was a disaster in 2005 and 2006 for the Yankees.
I give Joe Buck credit for how he went back and forth from baseball and football. Why didn't they give him the credit they give Jim Nantz from going from football, college basketball, to golf? No disrespect to Nantz.
@josecruz6674 Just like Kenny Albert, Todd Kalas, and Chip Caray. Joe Buck has long proven he has a knack of making the greats calls in the big moments and I wish he called Eagles Patriots Super Bowl LII.
This loss crushed my soul. Also I went into a screaming rage cursing out A-Rod. It was the first of many.

Didn’t deserve to win. 4/9 players in the lineup were using steroids plus some of the pitching staff. PLUS those who never got caught.

Anaheim was the Yankees daddy all season long. What a great series!
Ervin Santana was clutch!
Yankees really let him off the hook. And again, he was a rookie in 2005.
As a Red Sox fan I enjoyed every second of this game. The Angels had the Yankees Number in the postseason in the early/Mid 2000’s.
I was at this game with my dad I’ll never forget how electrifying it was! Go halos

Giambi was sensational in this series, and Jeter was great. But asides from those two, no other Yankee hitter showed up.

All 5 games of the ALCS are on youtube, uploaded by the channel "This is where you find baseball"
