Quiet Morning Bike Ride on Mackinac Island | Michigan Nature Sounds, Birds, and Horses

- Take an easy morning bike tour through Mackinac Island. Listen to nature sounds, birds, and horses as Mackinac begins to wake from a sleepy slumber.
Before the first ferries arrive and after the last ferry leaves, Mackinac feels like a different place.
If you're not familiar with Mackinac Island, this bike ride starts up by Grand Hotel on Grand Hill, goes down to historic Market Street, down to Main Street also known as M-185 (the only highway in the US that doesn't allow vehicles) all the way to Mission Point Resort out east and then back in to downtown Mackinac Island.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much! Definitely come visit! I highly recommend you stay at least one night on the island if you can. It's a totally different experience than seeing the island during the day. Also, early September is one of the best times of the year to visit. 😊

Absolutely Beautiful 😍 Love that you ended at the shore. Are there any swimming beaches?
All of the beaches are very rocky and there are strong currents so not much swimming. Most people wade in the water or skip stones on the shore. There are a variety of public access points to the shoreline though!
I would like to someday build a resort inspired by this beautiful place .

Yep, sounds like you got there, right toward the end. Downtown is about 3.5 blocks long. Main Street is where the majority of shops are and Market Street is just a street up and runs parallel to Main and has a handful of additional shops and places to stay.
Without seeing all this video, what was the big 'ole tall building I just saw rising in the distance, above the trees? Unless I'm seeing incorrectly, it seems like it would be controversial for this area.
Do they have a shopping area or do you have to leave the island
There are lots of shops on Mackinac Island! Clothing stores, souvenirs, art galleries, jewelry, toy stores, shoe stores, book stores, etc.
