The Pink Pony is a must...best Bloody Mary's on the planet!!! Most dont know...that it is first come first serve at the outside bar on the water...so you can just walk past the lines, go downstairs and grab an empty bar stool! They serve food etc too and the view is spectacular!
You have a nice channel. I've always wanted to do the loop. I grew up in that area. Just so you know, "Algonquin" is pronounced "al-gahn-quinn" and "Anishinaabe" is 'Ah-neesh-hǐh-nah-bee' Happy sailing guys.
Greetings Elliott and Jen, Well we are finally caught up with the Loop videos. This video makes 196 videos in less then 3 weeks. Its kind of bitter sweet 😂 sweet in the fact that watching 7 to 12 videos a night makes it like family being around but being caught up is bitter because its now only a video every so often 😢 Watching all 196 so quickly has made it so simple to experience all your growth. You two have grown so much during the course of the loop and watching how well you two function together as a team is very rewarding. Wish more folks would mature this well especially in docking and locking as you two have. 😂 For Elliott docking and locking has now become second nature to him and its easy to see. Have Fun & Stay Smart Out There Safety First. Thank You for all your hard work and bringing us all along for the journey. Oh and sure do miss how you used to put the completed miles up at the end of your intro.....that gray area looks empty 😂 Sincerely Jim & Gina
They're great, but the videos are over 6 months behind, maybe close to a year now. They've been through with the loop for a good while and I am not sure what They're doing now. A&K had a video with them a couple months back and Jen and Elliot were in the Keys, having finished the loop.
It dawned on me watching this how much you remind me of Niki and Jason of Gone with the Wynns. Would be so cool to see the four of you and Ollie have a fun week together. Very cool humans all of you ♥
Jen and Elliott have less than 20k subs now but I can definitely see them getting over 200k like the Wynns, or even over 3 million, like Kara and Nate. It takes time but eventually the numbers take off exponentially.
Very kind of y'all! Niki and Jason were one of the first boating channels we ever watched, definitely an inspiration to our Great Loop and we'd love to meet them one day 😁
Loved seeing y’all bike around the island! We really wanted to visit here, but didn’t, so it’s cool to see what all we missed. And Jenn, you did a fabulous job holding up that cave! 😜
I managed one of the island bike rentals during my college years. It was a great place for summer employment...not to mention 18 years was the legal age at the time. We live 15 miles east now on the Cheboygan river and visit the island often.
Our boat is at Duncan Bay in Cheboygan across the channel to the Island...we love the Island!!!! Best part of Michigan!!!! If you intend on docking in Grand Haven, MI....dont stay at the city docs just inside the channel...the rollers are horrible and unsafe...go further in or stay in Muskegon Safe Harbor!! Great docs and close to restaurants etc. Have fun!!
I'm so glad you shared your bike ride! My husband can't walk or bike, so we take the carriage. I'd love to bike the island, but I can't justify leaving him on a bench. We are anticipating a visit to the island in mid-July 2023 and I'm getting so excited now!
Well, what a great way to see the island. I hope that I'm going to be able to make that bike tour on the island, just like I hope I can get through to actually do The Loop. Unfortunately, I'm at a MAJOR inflection point in my life and this coming day, really is a new chapter in my life. I've been diagnosed with a form of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, so for the foreseeable future, my days are dictated by "The Big C " I'm now a member of The Great Cancer Tribe. If I do get to "Ring the Bell," by God I'm gonna reward myself with doing The Great Loop in the way I want to do it. Please keep me in "your thoughts and prayers." Looking forward to the next part of your trip, after your hold for Heavy Weather.
Maybe traverse city, Holland, Frankfort, grand haven, and south haven if your feeling like spending awhile in Lake Michigan. If you only had to pick a couple if say traverse city, Frankfort, grand haven, and south haven are the best options
So happy to see the Pivot crew in a place we have been to since you left Key West. You have missed so many places special to us. Winds forced you to the inside channel past Duck Key so you didn't see the resort where we spent our honeymoon. Then I thought you would travel up the Currituck Sound to see where we vacation on the Outer Banks because I didn't know about the canal at Coinjock. You traveled through Canada so you skipped Erie, PA where our son goes to college, Cedar Point where my wife and I first met working summers at the amusement park, and Detroit where I was born. So it was great to see you at Mackinac Island. My mom took my sister and I on a bike ride around the island when we were kids. I remember that it was a lot easier on the outside than biking uphill to get to the middle. We took our own kids to Mackinac Island for the 200th anniversary of the first battle of the War of 1812 and saw the reënactment at the fort (which was hilariously underwhelming). We stayed in Mackinaw City so looking forward to seeing you over there. Hopefully you enjoyed a pasty and some fudge. Keep up the videos!

Agreed on the Pink Pony! Plus in the evening you can likely see Myk Rise or Pete Kehoe perform, two old friends of mine!
Great tips!! Will have to skip the lines next time we visit 😁
That was pure comedy Gold with the Spring Water you should have added a laugh track and have Elliot running towards the nearest bathroom....
🤣🤣
haha!

Wow 196 videos in 3 weeks is probably a Scho and Jo record 😁 if only we could edit that fast! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful day for a bike ride. I've done the bike around the island, awesome.

Nice jaunt around the island….thanks!

I bet that was a memorable summer job!
Really enjoyed going along on your bike ride on the island…how fun!

Awesome! The carriage rides seemed like a great way to explore the island. Hope you have a fun trip!
Just fantastic! Coincidentally my daughter is up on the island today with a couple of friends!
I've never been to Mackinac Island, but your blog makes me want to go
Great content as usual 😊
Fabulous video! I want to go there.
Man that was an amazing trip. Your videos are the best. Enjoy your summer its winter here.
Wait, you didn't go to the fudge shop ? YOU MISSED THE FUDGE SHOP ?! ?! The fudge shop is the one spot on the island you MUST NOT MISS !!
Beautiful episode 😊 The Island seems fascinating 😊
I’ve always been fascinated by grand old hotels, but I’d better save my pennie’s for that one!
Haha right?!
It shows you both are very happy to be back in the U S of A

🙏 It won't define you, we are sending you good thoughts and warm wishes. You will ring the bell and have the dream journey of the Loop!
Maple fudge, chocolate fudge, white chocolate fudge, fudge with pecans, fudge with chopped peanuts.............
Stop at Charlevoix too! Would make a great video

Oh I forgot manistee and beaver island are awesome too! Manistee definitely one of the cooler inlets
Great tips! Even though this was last year, we appreciate the suggestions for the future!
@@SchoandJo How far down in Michigan did you guys go before you started cutting over to Chicago? What was the last inlet you stopped at?
Or did you stick to the coast the whole way?
Scho picked the junky bike no one else wanted but it looks cool
My father in law was so disappointed in the food at that Grand Hotel. He thought perhaps his expectations were too high 😐
Were those bikes e-bikes or just regular old fashion bikes? Jenn got the noisiest bike. Beautiful scenery!
I know right! They were good old fashioned bikes 😁
Are you going to be there over the 4th?? They shoot fireworks off the bridge I think.

Glad to finally visit and show a spot you've enjoyed 😁 Thanks for watching!
Did you try the Pasties and Lake Perch?
I think we missed those!
Did you try Moomers moo and improved
What about E-Trikes? Are they allowed? Can on bring their own? Are they available for rent?
Yes they are allowed and I don't know if you can rent them!
I was there once, around1968 or '69, but I didn't have a bike. 😐
Does Ollie get exercise after being in the Pivot all day ?😢
Absolutely!
