Dallas and Andrian, thanks for reacting to my favorite rock band in the world. I'm 75 years old and have seen A LOT of rock bands in my life. Band-Maid has restored my (and many like me's) faith in the future of rock. The mantle of great rock and roll has been passed to Japan and these incredibly talented young Japanese women in Band-Maid are at the forefront of that movement.
You two are just the sort of fans B-M want at a concert. I can picture it now "Ladies why are you giggling so much, they don't even open the doors for another hour"?

Ladies thank you for the reaction. To many people me included this is the best band on the planet. Their music is fun, positive, at times complex, soulful etc… let’s just say it’s great. They love their fans and their interaction with each other endears them to their fans. They have soooo many great songs and nearly every new song will be your favorite get on the Band Maid train and enjoy the ride.

Interviewer - What’s the meaning of the name “BAND MAID”?
Miku: I used to work at a maid cafe, and I thought “I want a band!” So it became BAND-MAID - maids in a band!
Interviewer: Maid outfits aren’t exactly rock ‘n’ roll. What is your ultimate heavy metal costume?
MIKU “Now Band-Maid’s outfits are part of rock n roll, so we pick these!”
Interviewer: Why should people listen to Band-Maid?
MIKU - “We’re not a pop idol group! Don’t judge us on how we look. We want to blow you away with our heavy rock sound.”
MIKU “We want a big gap between how we look and how we perform in order to be unique,”.
Interviewer - How did BAND-MAID come together? Did any of you know each other before joining the band? MIKU found KANAMI on TH-cam video. Then asked KANAMI to join the band, and then KANAMI brought her friend, the drummer AKANE ...... Then, AKANE brought her friend, the bassist MISA. So the instrumental performers were all gathered through connections between musicians. After that, MIKU decided that she was not a strong enough vocalist for the band. So MIKU went looking for a singer and found SAIKI.
KANAMI writes the music and brings that to MSA and AKANE who then refine the music together.
MIKU writes the lyrics to the music and SAIKI helps to refine them. In some instances, HATE? for example, SAIKI wrote the song on her own.
Bottom line - The band works together as a unit and all members get credit. No ego's in this band after 10+ years.

There was a joint concert by Band-Maid and The Warning on June 16 in Tokyo. I witnessed it in bliss 😍. The collaboration song by the two band "Show Them" was released on TH-cam recently. Please react to it.

If you can stomach the fan base which is in love with themselves and a bunch of blowhards and windbags. You are in for a real treat if this is the first time you have reacted to them.
