I loved him in the 1960s. I've seen his routines over and over again, I could do them myself. He still makes my jaw ache laughing. A true genius of laughter. Sadly missed. RIP Tommy.
I grew up watching Tommy on a black & white TV. So brilliant. I still laugh & cry. A terrible loss. Thank you Tommy I have a Dalmatian puppy that is a total idiot. I called him Sarge. I'm thinking I should have call him Tommy for the mischief he gets up to. I'm so fortunate to have grown up watching Tommy Cooper
Damn, the dude was wacky as all get out but he could make people laugh. He was built from ground up for comedy. Thanks for the video my friend, good stuff !👍 👍
Incredible stamp-up comedian who left us with a bad taste in our mouths when he left our lives on a stage where he had compulsions, I think, and people laughed because they believed he was part of the show because he played a medium. And as you know, sometimes mediums act as if they were having compulsions. Unfortunately, that moment was recorded and was on TH-cam for many years until they censored it.
Somebody tell me is this the Tommy Cooper used to make laugh silly when I was at the Fire Services Technical College in 1973/4?.Hi Gareth Owen and Tom Jackson in Bristol Uk.
You knew him, thats brilliant i wish id been born back then instead of the late 80s, 60s 70s 80s 90s were just something else, im really not enjoying this current millennium
I was very surprised to hear, he sadly had a drink problem. Where he was a good magician and comedian, for me, was when he showed how a trick was fake and pretended to say a magic word. Also his one man or other plays he wrote. He died a sad professional death, collapsing on stage.
Ive seen it, everyone kept laughing cause they thought it was part of his act but it was very quick RIP Tommy Cooper he was still hugely popular on the telly when i was young even though he died 2 years before i was born, i remember watching him with my late grandparents, allo allo aswell and grandma would watch anything with Cilla Black, i would go back if i could wouldnt even think twice about it not enjoying this millenium👎 😉😅
My mother and aunt were in the audience the night he died on stage my mum was a doctor and she actually went to help when the saint John's ambulance asked for help
That is correct he died on stage at Her Majesty’s theatre live on ITV in front of millions. He collapsed and died and everyone thought it was part of the act & were laughing. He then fell backwards through the curtain & ITV then went to commercial break. When they came Les Dennis & his partner did their routine with curtains closed behind them with Tommy lying there being attended.
I used to be rolling round 'Front Room' holding my stomach! Mark Brothers, Pythons etc. More. My parents did'nt get it, more I laughed. Good medicine laughing!

My comedy hero as a child. Was only 13 when he passed. Shame I didn't see more of him! True legend

There will never be anyone greater than Mr Tommy Cooper.
Only tommy cooper could come on stage and not have to say a word and have the audience in stitches pure class tommy
One of the greatest comedians ever
Tommy Cooper was the best . Fabulous .
Love the way he just chucks stuff on the floor 😂
As I said in the past all Tommy had to do was walk on stage that was enough 😂
Love that laugh!!!❤❤❤❤❤
He was at the peak of his powers when he made these shows for Thames Television in the 1970's
Greatest English philosopher
I've seen this video I don't know how many times and I laugh my head off every time. Tommy was a Master of comedy. He's still fabulous in 2024.
No other comedian in history could do this routine and get the laughs Tommy got
Intellect goes hand in hand with humour
He was just funny. He did what it said on the tin.
Good old Tommy; always my favourite as a kid. And that malicious grin - he looked like the sort. to send round to break fingers haha.

Tommy cooper used to be brilliant, they don't make them like that anymore.
Doctor it hurts when I do that.Well don’t do it then
😂😂😂😂😂😊
There are no words!

Convulsions you mean? And you can find his death on many channels including a doco on him as well.
Just like that 😅
Thanks for putting me on to Tommy Cooper. We don't see him on this side of the Pond. BTW I'm 71 and I don't agree with everything you say but....

NIce to hear Reg Dixon getting an airing at 13:22!
Died with 12 million people laughing at him as he has a heart attack.
Tommy was in the Irish Guards before giving way to his comedic career... imagine doing tricks in front of the enemy!!!!?

Many would say he died doing what he loved and that’s better than dying lonely and washed up.

BBH : British Burlesque Humour from the 70's. Tommy was great as a 1-man show. A little clumsy and flat in situation comedy with other actors, though.
LOVED HIM 😂

How marvellous sad
Back in the day when you had to have talent to get on the stage
Glad I was around when England had the best comedians. England soon will have no White comedians.
I was told that he died while on stage?

@@michaeljames87 Still a bit lost as to the present context of finding Tommy Cooper funny.
