    The most soulful version of Satisfaction ever - the Stones have always thrived in small clubs.

      when i was a kid I went w/a friend to the house of this girl he liked, it was South of Ventura Boulevard, in the Nice part of the valley. Right away I notice Gold Records on the wall, Rolling Stones Gold Records no less. Then I see a pic on the wall, presuming it was the girls Mom, and she looks like a SuperModel. Pretty sure it was the house of Bobby Keys' first wife...but not sure

    I really like this laid back version. I've been noticing that on these Marquee Club clips from this gig, the film editors did a lousy job. You can tell at the beginning of most of the songs that the video doesn't match the audio. It's obvious that they are using video clips of them playing who knows what song and splicing it in with the audio of a different song. Kinda ruins it.

    • @bjones8470
      @bjones8470 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve seen a couple clips like that. The Jumpin Jack Flash isn’t them playing that song at all. I don’t know why they do that. I assumed they actually recorded the whole set or sets I don’t know if it’s two nights or what.

    Mick was better before he started shouting and prancing about the stage. Greatest band with an annoying frontman. This is the last gasp of a rock and roll band about to start turning their wheels

    É de longe a pior versão ao vivo dessa musica. A melhor versão é a original! Fato! Com todos os clichês que ela tem, o drive do riff, a panderola no fundo......é a melhor, indiscutível! Se for ao vivo, a melhor versão é da turnê Voodoo Lounge, a do Flashpoint ainda é boazinha, mas a da Voodoo Lounge Tour mantem muito das características da musica original e respeitam o conteúdo da mesma. Essa aí (como outras versões do fim dos anos 60 e meados dos anos 70) são uma tentativa frustada de parecer com o cover de Otis Redding.

    Don't get me wrong, I love the Stones, but even by 1971 they should've stopped playing this song. First off, it's not a great song, and second, they've never, not one single time, ever done it justice live. I defy anybody to find a live version of 'Satisfaction' that isn't all over the fucking place.

      The 1969 tour I really like the live version because of the Awesome solo from Mick Taylor..

      You've got to be kidding. Live at MSG is one of their greatest live performances of Satisfaction ever. th-cam.com/video/01hp-xaUgwg/w-d-xo.html

    This kind of stinks. Not even close to Ya Ya's version...more like a sound check version.

    Jaggers not much of a singer. He’s a great performer but singing 🎤 was never his strong suit. His voice sounds shot here. He shouts instead of singing.
    If you want proof how bad he 🎤 sings, listen to Gimme Shelter.
    The Black Lady Gospel singers voice soars over his! Jaggers voice is a guttural wail that he shouts, not sings. He really suffers by comparison. The first time I heard it I said to myself OMG he can’t 🎤 sing! He’s gotten better since with 50 years of practice but he’s still not great.
