      Hi @Chrisann Zaubi! i would research an air dry/solvent ink for plastic (we do not sell this type of ink, but it's readily available). There is a range of options out there so you'll need to get the appropriate one for the plastic game pieces. Plastisol or water based ink will not adhere and will rub off quickly. Hope this helps!

    Usually when printing stickers the inks are air dry. The way a multi-color sticker print works is when you print the first color on the sticker you place the sticker on a drying rack until the first color dries then you re-register the sticker and then print the second color then place the sticker back on the rack for a final dry. This process only requires on pallet. So a multi station press is not required.

    Went looking on your website but couldn’t see past your pop ups.
    Join the club and ask a question bubble. You guys should really revamp your website. Shopping on it was actually quite frustrating.
    I’m looking for solvent based inks and extenders. I couldn’t find any but I admit I didn’t want to surf through 15 pages trying to see past your pop up. Maybe next time.
    Good video tho. I couldn’t tell what ink you actually used as I don’t know what a general ink is when you specifically mentioned UV and Solvent are the primary inks and then say you’re using a general ink. I’m confused.

      Good morning Viktor! Solvent inks are very specific to the type of product you are printing on. Some of them will require a thinner, retarder and sometimes a catalyst, depending on the type. So, do your research before diving in. This video is 8+ years old and we actually have moved out of solvent inks since then. Lots of distributors still carry these types of inks though. Happy printing!

    Im new to screen printing but have had real headaches using water based inks on plastic styrene card stock
    I guess applying vinyl cut stencils to the screen may work for t shirts with plastisol given the excess material soaks away in to the T shirt fabric
    but how ever I look at this the thickness of the vinyl stencil is way overloading the ink so it looks like the emulsion is the only way LOL

    What do you mean when you say "you need a good amount of off contact" when graphic printing.?

    • @Ryonet
      @Ryonet  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on the ink that you decide to go with, you will need to adjust your off contact higher or lower to make sure that the screen is releasing properly when doing a pass.
      You always want to measure this with the substrate on your platen to assure that you have proper off contact.

      Chip I would recommend about 1/4" for a standard tension screen, if your screen is a little higher then you could go down to 3/16 or 1/8" - Ryan

    Hey so what if i want to print on a glass window or door, how do i go about it and what ink would you recommend?

    • @Ryonet
      @Ryonet  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      collodi I would actually recommend Vinyl application, if you want to print it, I would try and lay the glass flat and then print, I have known some people to print sideways on glass or walls but it is not easy. R

    You can achieve this with the starter kit?

    • @Ryonet

      Yes but, only one color stickers and you'll need tougher emulsion like DCM Dual Cure. www.screenprinting.com/screen-printing-supplies/emulsion-screen-printing/dcm-dual-cure-diazo-emulsion-blue-quart.html#.UxScSqWuJGg

      Thank you! You'll need to use a solvent ink for printing on plastics. Check with Nazdar on what they recommend. Likely the ADE series but we don't currently offer any solvent based inks.

    • @Ryonet

      +MrD0remi you would test by adding warp drive and it may work. You would want to do an aggressive wash test you may have to go to a solvent ink. -Ryan
