I’m 1 runecrafting level away from having base 70 all skills at 116cmb and this made me feel better. Real happy with my progress haha (took like 6 years lol)
I've only been playing about an hour a day for the last month and I have 950 total level. I thought I was doing really badly but seeing this has made me feel a lot better.

your progress in runescape is literally tied to how much of a life you have outside the game. I made my OSRS character the day it launched and I only got my first 99 last year. (Granted there were long periods where I didn't play at all). I'll put in MAYBE 2 hours tops on an average day and if I'm lucky I'll have a whole free day on the weekend to play but generally for any skill I want to max I'm looking at months of chipping away at it. MONTHS. Honestly if you're "bad" in runescape that's probably a good thing overall for your life lmao
You're right, everytime I take a break from runescape my life become very eventful. The first break from ages 13-18 i traveled south America, a bunch of close friends and family died, became a professional athlete, rebuilt my life..... found that they brought runescape back, and it was on mobile too. Then 22-25 Traveled Europe, got a few cool jobs, got into a crazy accident, made some incredible friends, got married, and now I'm back
The average is probably more like 1200 - still fairly low, but that’s where we’re at. I’ve been playing in a bubble where everyone around me is very high level. Thank you for bringing this awareness to my attention
Well tbh its hard to be friends with someone who is bad, if you're not one. We started a group iron early this year and it literally took a week to get those average stats. 20-25 hours (?) of play time by just questing.
Well also you gotta realize mostly everyone who plays osrs has an actual life outside of video games. Like a job and family and what not. Not a lot of people have hours and hours to play a video game
This why I always take the role as a teacher and mentor for intermediate/new players since I’m maxed and I do end game content, i happily show the ropes to whoever has a good attitude
@@DanielOnTheBank quests, diaries, dailies, herb and tree runs. those will progress your account as fast as possible. find low investment 99s whos time efficient methods are profitable to start grinding (thieving, fm, cooking, etc) find efficient methods for every skill you do. i.e. for fishing, do barb as it also passively trains agility (super slow skill) and is almost no cost skill(just feathers)

People take this game way too seriously. Stats in this game are literally just a time sink. There's no real work to be put in except for a handful of actual skill-based activities. Getting xp in RuneScape isn't work or skill. There's no precedent of better or worse. It's nothing but a function based on how much free time any given individual decides to devote to the game.
For some they enjoy putting in the time to playing the game by the rules and some do succeed at attaining high levels on their own like me but it’ll be in skills like magic where a person just needs to spam click a mouse while they drive to get to 99

You gotta take into account the amount of players to game accounts there are. A lot of people have pures where they don't train skills which brings all of those averages down, a lot of bot accounts bring down averages

sadly all my hard work is on rs3, disliked the idea of starting over again when osrs came out so i didn't bother but chose to go back recently due to nostalgia. i put my 15+ years in i take bs from no one!
This is what turned alot people off of osrs back in 2013, they had invested years into their account some even from the rs classics days and transfered to rs2. Now your asking a older player base to start over with less time in their daily lives. The reason alot of players came back was because of osrs mobile. This allowed them to play during down-time at work or at home. Those hours of down-time add up and after months if not a year you find urself back into the game.
It's common in runescape to call yourself terrible because you already know that players are so toxic that they will knock you down if they see you talking good about yourself

My husband got me into the game during my pregnancy and really helped with all my down time now I'm obsessed. He's almost got his veteran cape and the games got him through a lot of tough times. It's been a really amazing bonding experience for us.

I will not lie. My first 99 was/is rc. I was able to get it because I was recovering from a traumatic brain injury in such I could barely move 2 fingers and had ZERO time perception. Got gamer-logged doing NOTHING but manually crafting bloods with dense essence. Perfect example of taking a losing situation and making it winnable!
I just came back to RuneScape and was not surprised but still a little embarrassed at how bad I must have been as a kid because of how much more quickly i was getting through things. Im happy that i was actually better than average ☺️

I’m a veteran player, by no means a great pvm’er or pvp’er, but a veteran nonetheless. My opinion that this: if you’re going to play OSRS in 2022, play the game however you want as long as you’re having fun, but, the game is decades old. There are extensive guides for anything and everything you want to accomplish, if you’re gonna put any time into it at all then at least be smart about it and learn from those of us who’ve been around for a long time. Don’t feel the need to be a turbo-nerd who obsesses over efficiency or anything like that, but don’t waste your own time playing if you’re not gonna try to progress your account and get better. It will take time, but watch and read guides and get better constantly!
I agree, been playing on and off since 04, still have my 2004 account also. Only ever got two 99s and about to get a third on osrs. The great thing about runescape is there is no real way to play. Can legit do no quests or very minimal quests and still have a great acc and have fun. That's why I keep coming back. To just chill and get levels no stress
i agree 2140 total 14x 99s 1x98, 18 out of the 23 skills are lvl 90+ the remaining 4 are lvl 76 81 67 and 72. Work at your own pace look at guides and have a plan to work around your own playing time. Iam at 98 thieving had guys doing 200-220k exp a hour i did that for a few hours and could only get 191k thieving exp a hour max from lvl 93+thieving. I decided to relax and only go for about 130-140k thieving exp a hour.
Thanks man, I’ve always felt bad that I’ve never gotten a 99 in 10 years. I usually get to late 80’s, I think my highest being 92. It makes me feel a lot better, knowing I really put in the time to make it that high when most people don’t. Side note: I do wonder what players they took into account for this? If they count people who only do f2p or accounts that people made and dropped in a couple days, I think that would heavily skew the average. I get the sneaking suspicion I’m just trying to find a reason to put myself down though, so I’m going to choose not to think about that.
The latter part is right. Dude, how could they only count f2p? There are member skills with levels in the image. Devs know how long an account is active. When determining the average, usually outliers are dropped. AVERAGE. Not outlier, not bot, not a few hours playtime... I've been playing for 8 years off and on, and this looked like my account before I knew how to play efficiently.
I had never gotten above 32 farming or 28 construction or 55 prayer... In the span of 20 years and multiple accounts. Now, I have 76 farming, 72 prayer, and 50 construction. Not to mention, I recently got 90 mage. My first ever 90 in 20 years...
Ok, so the really sad thing is most of these stats are pretty similar to mine. Ive grinded hunter to 53, and runecrafting to 55. Still got that 99 cooking, but now my farming is 54. Big difference is ive grinded a ton of quests and built up a pretty decent bank.
I've maxed and currently mid game on an iron, dont regret a second of it. if people could look at their playtime for netflix, scrolling ig or watching sports theyd probably say the same thing. downtime is a big part of enjoying life and ultimately being succesful buddy dont beat yourself up.
Well my dream is to live in the wild and hunt wild animals and having a small house with some animals or a small farm. Not sure if that is possible these days tough.

Well the average players (and these were the same toxic kids in osrs as kids in 04-07) a lot of you always act better than everyone else, refuse to help and just bash people. This really drives me crazy when people are like this. And it is by far the majority of the community doing end game content. They get to be advanced with practice and time but you have other players coming up that need guided to make learning end game pvm and raids more doable but so many of these guys are so worried about it effecting their efficiency that the refuse the request. Exactly why I constantly encourage lower level players, friend and clan makes to reach certain targets. Have them watch specific content and guides, then run them through myself until they feel confident enough to try solo or jumping in with some veterans. 💯 people forget the game is all about having fun as a community. The more people we have learning that content as well makes it more efficient and effective to diversify your team set ups. So you can find willing and able bodies nearly any time of day. 👍 Just saying..
Yep that's exactly what it's all about in my opinion. Of course people are entitled to their personal goals as well but there's plenty of solo content available for that if they really want to maximize "efficiency" and I'm the same exact way. My account is exclusively mobile and I'm fortunate to be able to do a lot more end game content, bosses, solo raiding, teaching etc. But outside of chambers and toa I can't get a soul to volunteer to take me on some learners on TOB just cause they can't imagine themselves doing it on mobile since they're used to pc. And I admit some stuff is more of a struggle on it while learning but we as a species adapt by nature. Just have to be stubborn about setting goals and understanding everything is a progression not perfection. And lean on those who have the knowledge to help which makes the process so much quicker. Just as somebody did for them. And I guarantee like you said. They might have some untimely deaths or whatever but if I can laugh at myself from making an error I'm sure looking from the outside in we can all share in the humor and just have fun lol 😅🤣👍
I've been playing Runescape for 20+ years, I have the same account I created when I was a kid. I take long breaks when I'm bored of it and come back when I feel like I have nothing better to be doing. I hadn't levelled any skills until this year because I genuinely didn't care about it until this year and I still take breaks occasionally for a few weeks or so at a time, and as of yesterday, I maxed all of my skills and I'm so proud knowing that its the same account I started when I was 7. I never once cared about other people's levels, people are having fun, its a distraction, its a time filler, and the beauty of Runescape is that you can play for a bit and then disappear for several years and return and pick up where you left off and I think that if you're going to judge players in any capacity, you need to remember that Runescape is their distraction, they're playing to have fun and that there is so much more to the game than just skilling. Some people just love buying stuff, I know I love buying stuff, I know I love admiring the game for what it is and for all the character it has. People need to stop being so serious and just enjoy what they have and stop trying to belittle others because of how much they dont care about a game. People have lives.
These are roughly my stats, I think I'm 1100 now after my grind to 50 construction, Outside of my 99 in cooking and my 45 farming. I get really into the game for a few months and then don't play for like a year, so my stats reflect that. Having people to play with is important as wel,as it makes the game that much more fun.

Just started osrs for the first time a couple days ago, grinded Melvor idle for quite some time (the osrs inspired idle game that is Jagex approved) and it’s such a wild transition. Also trying to do minimal wiki usage so my progress is slow as fuccckkk but that’s how I like it lol

Honestly, Runescape is just fun Everything gives experience, there's so much to do And your character is so personal to you, I definitely got way more into it after making my Iron man account To be able to craft anything I need or smith anything I need for any given quest feels awesome
Being happy with what you do online is what matters. I like getting members their items for the membership skills. It pays good as well, but it is just a GE effect with the gaming I'm putting in, if only I could get more experience with getting other items for the better of the game itself.
I have done all hard diaries and consider myself "mid-game" when other accounts even with the skills to do it have yet to complete them. I feel good knowing a level 100cb is still walking around with Ardy Cloak 2 and I have Ardy Cloak 3.
played since 14, i set it down when i get too involved. got married and had kids since i’ve played. my username even has mom in it now. it’s never about the stats. just about the feeling you get and the people you meet. never played to chase a big bank. but it definitely came along the way. and the stats with it. i do still get on when i decide a round number would look spicy on the hiscores or i feel like i need to go back for an old monster, and new content. spend the last weeks playing around dt2, left myself the final fight to look forward to.
Started again during Covid lockdowns after a 7 yearish break (last played Rs3) and made a voider. I now have base 70 stats (except defence obviously) and I probably play on average 5 hours a week since I started the account
I was a really pure back in the day from combat levels 40-70ish when everyone was terrible, so was I. But gone are the days of lag free full wilderness at all combat levels
why does anyone think that total level is any measure of skill anyway? it’s not as if high level skilling is harder than low level skilling, just takes longer. it’s a measure of ability to focus if anything.

3 months ago I was near this total level. Now im lvl 121 cb & close to 1900 total. A younger me would be insanely proud as I was as noob as you could be back when this game was new..
I need to remember this sometimes, in my 30s with a family probably play 5-10hrs a week now around work, but at over 2100 total - watch too many TH-cam videos with all the content people do I just don’t have time to do it but feel a noob looking at my boss kill counts etc
Unfortunately they dont make the best exp sources obvious and the time it takes to get these stats you could have 50 or 60 in most skills. The wiki is absolutely necessary to refer to if training a skill feels like its taking days instead of minutes or hours to train up at a quick rate. Hope this helps anyone struggling. Just hit 70 farming from zero in 4 days non intensive play 😅
Chym, you’re such an inspiration & seem like such a cool player compared to all the people I’ve seen. I’m level 98 with 3 99’s & mostly base 70’s with some 80’s. I’m just so stuck and frustrated with the game, no money maker has been reliable to me & I am severely incapable at any kind of PVM or PVP for some reason, & I only play on mobile! I mostly love skilling but gotta branch out with combat to make money to fund these endeavors & so far I’ve only ever accomplished soloing scurrius haha. If you can ever show me briefly some tips for pvm I’d love that!
a standard for new players that I like is: get base free-to-play levels to at least 40 or 60 and complete the free quests before you purchase membership. It gets you used to the game without being overwhelmed w options/choices. Then once you reach that milestone get yourself membership. I got to base 60s now i’m a member with 98 mining/82 smith, all skills except like 4 above 60 and only 40 days played. many many months of not playing at all but osrs always had that itch you gotta scratch.
no get p2p as soon as you start, it will increase your exp gains by alot. you can stack regular combat potions which are cheap and like 320 gold per potion and increase your attack and stre by 11 percent.
I think you missing out the point here, the reason why osrs exists bcuz of veterans and jmods gave promise in twitch stream they will never implement G.E or anything makes gamd easy, but ofcourse after 2 years everything started changing due to young new players crying about how hard to train skills. If we remain in this path its just matter of time osrs will be exact replica of RS3
People overly-putting themselves down are not being humble. Its just fake humility.. a defence mechanism to prevent other people from putting them down more. Because like you said, no one wants to pull down a person thats already pulled themselves down. A humble person would see their strengths as well as their weakness - but when a person is just pulling their strengths down too, thats the fake humility right there.
I wonder how much bots effect the average levels. Do they increase the average levels or do they lower it because they get banned with only one or 2 skills being high while the rest are like lvl 1?
Of all the features on RuneScape Old School, I would say the Grand Exchange is by far the best. It allows players to sell items to other players for the same amount of cash and it doesn't require the player to find somebody to trade with immediately. Second, when you sell items to a General Store the more you sell of a particular item the more they choose to discount your price. The ridiculous thing is tho they will automatically buy said item at a much lower cost than it is a Tually worth so there is no ways you could make a living off of what you sell to general stores. And other players don't want to spend all day every day simply trading with other players. Thus with GE you can place your items of your choice on the market and when someone is interested they can come buy an item you are selling and drop off the cash. And the second best feature is, you can collect GE items or money from any bank in the RuneScape World, meaning you don't have to travel all the way north to collect your money or items. Plain genius
I still honestly consider myself a noob, and I have like 160qp, all my skills mid 70s, a few low 80s, and construction at like 56. All that’s required to succeed in anything is consistency.

It's not surprising at all to see hitpoints hugher than other combat stats. Some people train melee, some train ranged, but they both train hitpoints, so it's going to be higher

I'm happy with my base 70s. My highest level is 86 I think in like three or fours skills. Went over 150 days without playing last time I logged in lol.
It’s different for everybody but growing up in 2004 with a old dell pc I watched my older brother play osrs all the time and when they first got the dragon gear and then the fire cape the hype was too real. Now I’m 22 and have an account with 3 99’s. I occasionally play for long periods of time then leave the game for long periods of time, but it’s my one and only account so any progress over the years on it as I grow up is just great.
As with any game Csgo, league, etc you have to put time in to see results. If you stopped at 1k total it's very likely you just didn't put the time in because you didn't enjoy it or have other things you prefer to do over RS and that's ok the games not meant for everyone.
There’s also a difference between comparing yourself with your own standards vs everyone else’s standards. I appreciate how he is basically saying to not be so hard on yourself, but it’s okay to want to be better than average. I think average is fine, but I definitely don’t want to be average. Don’t beat yourself too much of course because that can have negative repercussions, but it’s okay to want more for yourself too.
Agility being higher than farming, hunter, firemaking, mining, smithing, construction, thieving, runecrafting, AND herblore is rock hard proof bots dominated the data... and if not, then that's jail time.

I've only been playing about an hour a day for the last month and I have 950 total level. I thought I was doing really badly but seeing this has made me feel a lot better.

your progress in runescape is literally tied to how much of a life you have outside the game. I made my OSRS character the day it launched and I only got my first 99 last year. (Granted there were long periods where I didn't play at all). I'll put in MAYBE 2 hours tops on an average day and if I'm lucky I'll have a whole free day on the weekend to play but generally for any skill I want to max I'm looking at months of chipping away at it. MONTHS. Honestly if you're "bad" in runescape that's probably a good thing overall for your life lmao
For example, currently I'd be happy if I get 99 fishing before the end of the summer LMAO

The first break from ages 13-18 i traveled south America, a bunch of close friends and family died, became a professional athlete, rebuilt my life..... found that they brought runescape back, and it was on mobile too.
Then 22-25
Traveled Europe, got a few cool jobs, got into a crazy accident, made some incredible friends, got married, and now I'm back
The average is probably more like 1200 - still fairly low, but that’s where we’re at. I’ve been playing in a bubble where everyone around me is very high level. Thank you for bringing this awareness to my attention

Well tbh its hard to be friends with someone who is bad, if you're not one. We started a group iron early this year and it literally took a week to get those average stats. 20-25 hours (?) of play time by just questing.

Well also you gotta realize mostly everyone who plays osrs has an actual life outside of video games. Like a job and family and what not. Not a lot of people have hours and hours to play a video game

find low investment 99s whos time efficient methods are profitable to start grinding (thieving, fm, cooking, etc)
find efficient methods for every skill you do. i.e. for fishing, do barb as it also passively trains agility (super slow skill) and is almost no cost skill(just feathers)

I remember being around that lvl and helping people making friends having a good ass time these memories kept me coming back time and time again 20+ years after the fact so I think the "average" spot was the best spot

People take this game way too seriously. Stats in this game are literally just a time sink. There's no real work to be put in except for a handful of actual skill-based activities. Getting xp in RuneScape isn't work or skill. There's no precedent of better or worse. It's nothing but a function based on how much free time any given individual decides to devote to the game.
There's a leaderboard. Some people care about leveling up.
Yea and tons of guides to maximize exp per hour and complete quests quickly. I think that's one of the things I enjoy.
Truth, some people don't care how long it takes to level, a lot of people just play for pure nostalgia aside from the sweats and streamers

You gotta take into account the amount of players to game accounts there are. A lot of people have pures where they don't train skills which brings all of those averages down, a lot of bot accounts bring down averages

This is what turned alot people off of osrs back in 2013, they had invested years into their account some even from the rs classics days and transfered to rs2.
Now your asking a older player base to start over with less time in their daily lives. The reason alot of players came back was because of osrs mobile. This allowed them to play during down-time at work or at home.
Those hours of down-time add up and after months if not a year you find urself back into the game.

My husband got me into the game during my pregnancy and really helped with all my down time now I'm obsessed. He's almost got his veteran cape and the games got him through a lot of tough times. It's been a really amazing bonding experience for us.

I will not lie. My first 99 was/is rc. I was able to get it because I was recovering from a traumatic brain injury in such I could barely move 2 fingers and had ZERO time perception. Got gamer-logged doing NOTHING but manually crafting bloods with dense essence.

I’m a veteran player, by no means a great pvm’er or pvp’er, but a veteran nonetheless. My opinion that this: if you’re going to play OSRS in 2022, play the game however you want as long as you’re having fun, but, the game is decades old. There are extensive guides for anything and everything you want to accomplish, if you’re gonna put any time into it at all then at least be smart about it and learn from those of us who’ve been around for a long time. Don’t feel the need to be a turbo-nerd who obsesses over efficiency or anything like that, but don’t waste your own time playing if you’re not gonna try to progress your account and get better. It will take time, but watch and read guides and get better constantly!
I agree, been playing on and off since 04, still have my 2004 account also. Only ever got two 99s and about to get a third on osrs. The great thing about runescape is there is no real way to play. Can legit do no quests or very minimal quests and still have a great acc and have fun. That's why I keep coming back. To just chill and get levels no stress

i agree 2140 total 14x 99s 1x98, 18 out of the 23 skills are lvl 90+ the remaining 4 are lvl 76 81 67 and 72.
Work at your own pace look at guides and have a plan to work around your own playing time. Iam at 98 thieving had guys doing 200-220k exp a hour i did that for a few hours and could only get 191k thieving exp a hour max from lvl 93+thieving. I decided to relax and only go for about 130-140k thieving exp a hour.
I've honestly never gotten a 99 in rs, never cared to. I had my fun just doing whatever I want rather than constantly progressing.

Thanks man, I’ve always felt bad that I’ve never gotten a 99 in 10 years. I usually get to late 80’s, I think my highest being 92. It makes me feel a lot better, knowing I really put in the time to make it that high when most people don’t.
Side note: I do wonder what players they took into account for this? If they count people who only do f2p or accounts that people made and dropped in a couple days, I think that would heavily skew the average.

Devs know how long an account is active. When determining the average, usually outliers are dropped. AVERAGE. Not outlier, not bot, not a few hours playtime... I've been playing for 8 years off and on, and this looked like my account before I knew how to play efficiently.
I had never gotten above 32 farming or 28 construction or 55 prayer... In the span of 20 years and multiple accounts.
Now, I have 76 farming, 72 prayer, and 50 construction. Not to mention, I recently got 90 mage. My first ever 90 in 20 years...

Ok, so the really sad thing is most of these stats are pretty similar to mine. Ive grinded hunter to 53, and runecrafting to 55. Still got that 99 cooking, but now my farming is 54. Big difference is ive grinded a ton of quests and built up a pretty decent bank.

I've maxed and currently mid game on an iron, dont regret a second of it. if people could look at their playtime for netflix, scrolling ig or watching sports theyd probably say the same thing. downtime is a big part of enjoying life and ultimately being succesful buddy dont beat yourself up.
Well my dream is to live in the wild and hunt wild animals and having a small house with some animals or a small farm. Not sure if that is possible these days tough.

This really drives me crazy when people are like this. And it is by far the majority of the community doing end game content. They get to be advanced with practice and time but you have other players coming up that need guided to make learning end game pvm and raids more doable but so many of these guys are so worried about it effecting their efficiency that the refuse the request. Exactly why I constantly encourage lower level players, friend and clan makes to reach certain targets. Have them watch specific content and guides, then run them through myself until they feel confident enough to try solo or jumping in with some veterans. 💯 people forget the game is all about having fun as a community. The more people we have learning that content as well makes it more efficient and effective to diversify your team set ups. So you can find willing and able bodies nearly any time of day. 👍

Yep that's exactly what it's all about in my opinion. Of course people are entitled to their personal goals as well but there's plenty of solo content available for that if they really want to maximize "efficiency" and I'm the same exact way. My account is exclusively mobile and I'm fortunate to be able to do a lot more end game content, bosses, solo raiding, teaching etc. But outside of chambers and toa I can't get a soul to volunteer to take me on some learners on TOB just cause they can't imagine themselves doing it on mobile since they're used to pc. And I admit some stuff is more of a struggle on it while learning but we as a species adapt by nature. Just have to be stubborn about setting goals and understanding everything is a progression not perfection. And lean on those who have the knowledge to help which makes the process so much quicker. Just as somebody did for them. And I guarantee like you said. They might have some untimely deaths or whatever but if I can laugh at myself from making an error I'm sure looking from the outside in we can all share in the humor and just have fun lol 😅🤣👍
I've been playing Runescape for 20+ years, I have the same account I created when I was a kid. I take long breaks when I'm bored of it and come back when I feel like I have nothing better to be doing. I hadn't levelled any skills until this year because I genuinely didn't care about it until this year and I still take breaks occasionally for a few weeks or so at a time, and as of yesterday, I maxed all of my skills and I'm so proud knowing that its the same account I started when I was 7. I never once cared about other people's levels, people are having fun, its a distraction, its a time filler, and the beauty of Runescape is that you can play for a bit and then disappear for several years and return and pick up where you left off and I think that if you're going to judge players in any capacity, you need to remember that Runescape is their distraction, they're playing to have fun and that there is so much more to the game than just skilling. Some people just love buying stuff, I know I love buying stuff, I know I love admiring the game for what it is and for all the character it has. People need to stop being so serious and just enjoy what they have and stop trying to belittle others because of how much they dont care about a game. People have lives.
These are roughly my stats, I think I'm 1100 now after my grind to 50 construction, Outside of my 99 in cooking and my 45 farming. I get really into the game for a few months and then don't play for like a year, so my stats reflect that. Having people to play with is important as wel,as it makes the game that much more fun.

Just started osrs for the first time a couple days ago, grinded Melvor idle for quite some time (the osrs inspired idle game that is Jagex approved) and it’s such a wild transition. Also trying to do minimal wiki usage so my progress is slow as fuccckkk but that’s how I like it lol
We all know rs is an off and on game, rn I’m off but I could see myself playing this game for the rest of my life tbh 😂 it’s just such a chill game to play and you decide how much effort you want to put in

When I start a brand new account, I try to rush getting the 500 and 750 world access. Some of those averages are below my week old accounts on F2P.
Being happy with what you do online is what matters. I like getting members their items for the membership skills. It pays good as well, but it is just a GE effect with the gaming I'm putting in, if only I could get more experience with getting other items for the better of the game itself.
I just think that the players with all 200m do probably need therapy or help.
I have done all hard diaries and consider myself "mid-game" when other accounts even with the skills to do it have yet to complete them. I feel good knowing a level 100cb is still walking around with Ardy Cloak 2 and I have Ardy Cloak 3.
As strictly a f2p scaper, I'm happy to see that all my stats are above these ones. Except for the member skills, of course. And rune crafting 😅😂

played since 14, i set it down when i get too involved. got married and had kids since i’ve played. my username even has mom in it now. it’s never about the stats. just about the feeling you get and the people you meet. never played to chase a big bank. but it definitely came along the way. and the stats with it. i do still get on when i decide a round number would look spicy on the hiscores or i feel like i need to go back for an old monster, and new content. spend the last weeks playing around dt2, left myself the final fight to look forward to.
Started again during Covid lockdowns after a 7 yearish break (last played Rs3) and made a voider. I now have base 70 stats (except defence obviously) and I probably play on average 5 hours a week since I started the account
I was a really pure back in the day from combat levels 40-70ish when everyone was terrible, so was I. But gone are the days of lag free full wilderness at all combat levels
why does anyone think that total level is any measure of skill anyway? it’s not as if high level skilling is harder than low level skilling, just takes longer. it’s a measure of ability to focus if anything.

3 months ago I was near this total level. Now im lvl 121 cb & close to 1900 total. A younger me would be insanely proud as I was as noob as you could be back when this game was new..

I need to remember this sometimes, in my 30s with a family probably play 5-10hrs a week now around work, but at over 2100 total - watch too many TH-cam videos with all the content people do I just don’t have time to do it but feel a noob looking at my boss kill counts etc
Unfortunately they dont make the best exp sources obvious and the time it takes to get these stats you could have 50 or 60 in most skills. The wiki is absolutely necessary to refer to if training a skill feels like its taking days instead of minutes or hours to train up at a quick rate. Hope this helps anyone struggling. Just hit 70 farming from zero in 4 days non intensive play 😅
Chym, you’re such an inspiration & seem like such a cool player compared to all the people I’ve seen. I’m level 98 with 3 99’s & mostly base 70’s with some 80’s. I’m just so stuck and frustrated with the game, no money maker has been reliable to me & I am severely incapable at any kind of PVM or PVP for some reason, & I only play on mobile! I mostly love skilling but gotta branch out with combat to make money to fund these endeavors & so far I’ve only ever accomplished soloing scurrius haha. If you can ever show me briefly some tips for pvm I’d love that!
There are plenty of PK accounts and alts that have bare minimum for quests
a standard for new players that I like is: get base free-to-play levels to at least 40 or 60 and complete the free quests before you purchase membership. It gets you used to the game without being overwhelmed w options/choices. Then once you reach that milestone get yourself membership.
I got to base 60s now i’m a member with 98 mining/82 smith, all skills except like 4 above 60 and only 40 days played. many many months of not playing at all but osrs always had that itch you gotta scratch.
no get p2p as soon as you start, it will increase your exp gains by alot. you can stack regular combat potions which are cheap and like 320 gold per potion and increase your attack and stre by 11 percent.
nah don’t get p2p before reaching some milestones especially if you’re brand new.
Logged onto RS3 the other day. Got my 20 year cape, and my first 99 (fm ofc) the same day.
I think you missing out the point here, the reason why osrs exists bcuz of veterans and jmods gave promise in twitch stream they will never implement G.E or anything makes gamd easy, but ofcourse after 2 years everything started changing due to young new players crying about how hard to train skills. If we remain in this path its just matter of time osrs will be exact replica of RS3
People overly-putting themselves down are not being humble. Its just fake humility.. a defence mechanism to prevent other people from putting them down more. Because like you said, no one wants to pull down a person thats already pulled themselves down. A humble person would see their strengths as well as their weakness - but when a person is just pulling their strengths down too, thats the fake humility right there.
I wonder how much bots effect the average levels. Do they increase the average levels or do they lower it because they get banned with only one or 2 skills being high while the rest are like lvl 1?
The lowest is construction, I have a 58 in that and it's my most hated skill next to fire making
Of all the features on RuneScape Old School, I would say the Grand Exchange is by far the best. It allows players to sell items to other players for the same amount of cash and it doesn't require the player to find somebody to trade with immediately. Second, when you sell items to a General Store the more you sell of a particular item the more they choose to discount your price. The ridiculous thing is tho they will automatically buy said item at a much lower cost than it is a Tually worth so there is no ways you could make a living off of what you sell to general stores. And other players don't want to spend all day every day simply trading with other players.
Thus with GE you can place your items of your choice on the market and when someone is interested they can come buy an item you are selling and drop off the cash. And the second best feature is, you can collect GE items or money from any bank in the RuneScape World, meaning you don't have to travel all the way north to collect your money or items. Plain genius
I still honestly consider myself a noob, and I have like 160qp, all my skills mid 70s, a few low 80s, and construction at like 56. All that’s required to succeed in anything is consistency.
These stats look almost identical to my first account back in like '04 😢
the issue here is if they took averages you gota take into account all the people with level 1 on certain skills. and it kinda fucks with the numbers lol
basically i think he saying, to the high end gamers that arent super good like hmt infernal etc to dont say they're bad coz it scares tf out of the average players when really could of looked at guides and got good and grinded.
It's not surprising at all to see hitpoints hugher than other combat stats. Some people train melee, some train ranged, but they both train hitpoints, so it's going to be higher

Ive been playing nearly 20 years, on off, never been a member, and I have ‘average player’ stats. I would maybe play more if I had friends to do stuff with
I'm happy with my base 70s. My highest level is 86 I think in like three or fours skills. Went over 150 days without playing last time I logged in lol.
It’s different for everybody but growing up in 2004 with a old dell pc I watched my older brother play osrs all the time and when they first got the dragon gear and then the fire cape the hype was too real. Now I’m 22 and have an account with 3 99’s. I occasionally play for long periods of time then leave the game for long periods of time, but it’s my one and only account so any progress over the years on it as I grow up is just great.
Playing for 17 years on and off maxed combat stats, 1750 total, I still feel terrible at the game 😂😂
As with any game Csgo, league, etc you have to put time in to see results. If you stopped at 1k total it's very likely you just didn't put the time in because you didn't enjoy it or have other things you prefer to do over RS and that's ok the games not meant for everyone.
This made me happy to have 75 all combat stats w 80 mage and range, I was hating on myself so bad for it
There’s also a difference between comparing yourself with your own standards vs everyone else’s standards. I appreciate how he is basically saying to not be so hard on yourself, but it’s okay to want to be better than average. I think average is fine, but I definitely don’t want to be average. Don’t beat yourself too much of course because that can have negative repercussions, but it’s okay to want more for yourself too.
Agility being higher than farming, hunter, firemaking, mining, smithing, construction, thieving, runecrafting, AND herblore is rock hard proof bots dominated the data... and if not, then that's jail time.
