@@Wesleycreardon Yeah, I'm not 100% sure on the exact measurements but It was a little bigger than the original without the snorkel. It was also a little thicker and of better quality. But you're right. Not much bigger than the original. Since I went by the book on all the other mods, I went ahead and did the DNA filter with the suggested breather opening for the specific tune recommended by TTP.
@@bertsbike that makes sense. Im hopefully buying a 2016 before this month ends and just trying to plot out plans for my own build. I appreciate you reaponding
So perfect! Thank you! But how do you get that top back screw off on the side panel? It’s completely blocked in by the frame?
I used channel locks from the side to slowly unscrew it in case anyone sees this!
Thx that’s very well explained
Hey there! Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comment!
Hi from Wyoming
Is there a true need for the wide mouth intake vs just reinstalling the original without the snorkel??
@@Wesleycreardon Yes the new tune I used was mapped with the airbox being modified.
@bertsbike i mean as far as buying that "wide mouth" intake cover. It looked almost the same size as the circular opening piece that held the snorkel.

@@Wesleycreardon Anytime! Cheers.
not to take away from your share.
what carb is that?... loving the "ole school triumphs!"
It's an EFI bike, so the carbs house the throttle bodies I think. Thanks watching!
@@bertsbike omg!! 02 sensor!... i didnt put it together. lol!
@@mafosa8519 No worries. Triumph really tried to keep that old school look. They look identical to the carb models. 🤣.
What year is your bike?
2012
