For about 12 1/2 years I worked for my father's small appliance repair business. I often grumbled about this or that but was always glad to have a steady, decent paying job. It was a family business so, for the most part, I was amongst people I loved and trusted. I was comfortable. The first day of work starting 2023 my father called everyone together and let us know he was going out of business and that would be my last day of work. The devastation and fear is indescribable and probably only truly understood by someone who goes through something like that. Just six years ago I had gone through a divorce after 16 years of marriage and all those feelings were coming back. But having gone through that I remembered a lesson God taught me - whatever hardship I am going through, whether big or small, he is always with me. One way or another I will get through it. And with hardship comes growth and if endured, due to God's grace and mercy, things will be made new. I dont know God's plans for me, but I always have to remember that he is leading me to something. It may not even be for me. He might be using me for someone else's benefit. So that gives me hope. The fear remains, but I also know that God is always with me.

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through that. I will be praying specifically for you tomorrow. Perhaps you can take some comfort in that God seems to reveal some of His greatest glories in this life amidst the deepest water. Stay faithful brother
