You have to link it to a phone like Google and shit if u used the other side ud probably have to use a computer

And even then for this to work you'd have to have internet and that camera plugged in and the app running and connected to it

@@scottmontgomry7484 its a USB adapter so the computing device (cellpone, tablet, laptop, PC ect..) can recognize a connection but that does mean its know what to with it or even knows what it is. An application/SDK has to manage the connection with specific instructions. Also, it doesn't require Google and/or an online connection after a universal or proprietary application is installed. What this video doesn't explain is the soldering job in which it doesn't specify the pinouts of the camera module. Pure ignorance and they assume you know this.

This is using a camera module from a cell phone. USB is a industry standard regardless of it connector (Micro-USB, USB-C or USB-A) so you can use any USB cable but its easier with a USB-A and/or Micro connector. USB-C cables have more wires for faster data transfer so unless its a super high-resolution camera, its useless. Its harmless to try if you have a old busted cellphone and know how to use a solder gun lol.
