So my take on what ume meant by the coulda-woulda-shoulda line is that choji keeps saying things like if i become the strongest then ill be the most free and have fun but now he is the leader and is saying if i beat ume who is having fun then ill take over bofurin and be free and have fun. so choji is constantly looking for the next thing to achieve to have fun while forgetting what was fun in the first place
BC Choji get satisfaction only from winning fights whereas Sukura & Togame came to a deep understanding of each other. There’s a huge hole inside Choji that’s only getting bigger!
Exactly, no matter how much he does or how strong he gets he will never be satisfied if he keeps going like he is now.

It's amusing how people are calling Choji a little boy. He is a kid, but compared to the other characters, he's very tiny. He's 5'2" and he's 17 years old.

@@penguin8_8 there's an extra part in the manga (like a small trivia) where it says that only a small percentage of Shishitoren goes to high school (one of them is Sako). Most of them are just chilling in the gang.
I would genuinely like to know wtf Togame is made out of. This man took a beating from Sakura, got laid out like a blanket by Choji, then casually walked off stage UNASSISTED! I really hope he sticks around for the rest of the season.

So glad you touched on the choreography - the fights are AMAZING! The hand to hand is some of the best I’ve literally ever seen to consistently come out of a pretty fairly new animanga, honestly only a level or two below some of the modern day heavy hitters like JJK or One Piece. You definitely hit the nail on the head - every fight feels like it’s own arc and story since every character has such different styles and ideals. FIRE start to a series imo, and glad to see you’re loving it!
Also: for the “coulda-woulda-shoulda” Ume is basically saying if Choji doesn’t just accept life as it comes - his failures and all - he’ll never really win anything in life.
Agreed about the choreography! I love the attention to detail in the different fighting styles for each character. Even for characters like Sakura that on first glance seem to be a straight brawler, they show his flexibility, speed and use of kicks to differentiate him.
It also works in tandem with characterization. This episode you see how Choji's fighting style is high energy with a lot of jumping around everywhere while in contrast Umemiya stays pretty stable and strong in his stance. Which works well in showing how Umemiya is a strong pillar of Furin.

Sakura's fight against Togame was incredible, I hope we can see more of Togame in the story, and about Umemiya I hope he destroys Choji.

@missplainjane3905 Yeah, it's just I like Wind breaker more than tokyo revengers(don't get me wrong, i really liked the plot of tokyo revengers(was good till Tenjiku and Bonten arc)but after the manga fumbled the ending and final arc, I hated the series and the animation is bad(especially fight sequences). Hope next part of Wind breaker has such fire animation and we see more of the story

Why do I feel like they're adding more character to Shishitoren members than Bofurin. Like you'd think this being the first major arc they would develop the main squad but no they're more so developing the other squad right now lol.
I’m not a manga reader so don’t tell me if I’m wrong (anyone), but it seems to me like they’re doing this setup so hard for Togame both as a means to develop Sakura more and because Togame will flip to Bofurin and be a recurring character in the main cast.
@@fufu-jh I know Bofurin characters will get development cause obviously they're the main squad but I just find it interesting how they decided to develop and give backstories to Shishitoren characters first in the first arc we got.

Sigh, a bit disappointed with Sakuras fight overall. Last episode made it clear Sakura wouldve lost had Togame didnt lose his nerve.
The whole conversation and motivation thing didnt do it for me. I'm praying to God fights going forward are not like this and he can hold it down from start to finish
Togame being commander doesn't necessarily mean he has to be stronger than Sakura. It just means he should be a dude that isn't a run of the mill thug that he can run through. My point is, even though I want Sakura to win, that last episode made it clear, he would've lost and might as well instead of this. His face could've been smashed in like intended, and togame could've thought he knocked him out and the boom, Sakura is up and showing the whole "not averting his eyes" thing.
@@missplainjane3905 Overpowered would mean Sakura has no difficulty. Up till now we haven't seen Sakura pushed and him getting knocked the fuck out initially would show he has his growth but his resolve wouldn't be weak waking himself up.
And overpowered would've been him beating Togame and even in his state beating up Choji out of anger.
