I downloaded talespire 2 days ago and had no idea where to start, I've been watching your videos and I can't thank you enough for the advice of starting slow, a 4x4 or 8x8 quick campsite warm up got me so excited to get into it. Thank you and I hope you keep making content as long as you're happy doing so!
Quality video. I use Talesphire for my friends in a way that the game Dev probably didnt intent for it to be used. I control everything and display it on a big screen, giving my players a keyboard to control their characters. This can make being a DM a little overwhelming, even thought I've been doing it for a while. This video has really helped me figure out how to make things easier on my end, thank man!
I love this and I learned a lot. Thanks man. I would like to share a thought about the desert biome you made. Ostensibly, you're breaking the patterns to help immersion and realism, such as it is. However, for a desert sandy dune, those ridges on the tiles are created by drifting sand on the wind. They _would_ always be going the same way in a specific area. Minor changes around things that shelter from wind, but mostly the same way. Similarly, those 'stone like' tiles you described, look more like dried out lake bed/clay tiles to me. They would be on the lowest parts where water would collect then dry out, thus cracking the clay. It would have been great to have those only in the lowest sections of the biome. I know it's a few months old now, but I'm just seeing the video for the first time. Thanks!
Thank you so much for the kind words and awesome advice! I'm been taking a break but def looking to make some new videos soon when the inspiration strikes! :)
@@NordicForge I have been using TaleSpire since the kickstater and love seeing people using it in different ways. I like your idea of pulling some tiles and items off to the side and build with them. it keeps things consistent and flowing.
@@JerryTurner Awesome! The main thing that helps me with is sizing out stuff. It's easier to see the space each item will take up and makes building quicker. I wish I could have got in on the Kickstarter.
Nice video .. I never really have tried doing a snowy setting .. I usually like to build houses and the like so the lack of snowy rooves sorta stops me making them but I really like what you have here
Just a note: All cactuses are New World plants except for one that doesn't look like cactus. (It looks like a vine.) So, unless your campaign world is a fantasy version of the Americas, you should stick to plain sand, rock, scrub brush, and palm trees.
Does Talespire have gradient tiles so tile levels don’t just have a sharp edge but have a tile slope front to back to rise to the next level without it always have a step or edge to the next height level?
I don't believe so. Each of the terrain pieces we have been provided so far are square based and you are only able to move them up and down in two increments (full step & half step). I'm hoping as they devs add new features we get some granular abilities to create even more seamless boards. Thanks for your question!
Dude, this is art. 17min long jawdrop from me, I learned so much.
Wow! Thank you so much for the words of kindness! I'm so excited you learned stuff too! Skol!
Thanks so much for these tutorials! In two days I've gone from beginner to landscape artist! Talespire is simply amazing!
I've learned more about using Talespire from your vids then I have all of the other tutorials combined. Thanks!

Go for it! Thank you so much for watching and supporting the channel! :) I am certainly looking forward to some snowy roof tiles too!

Good idea!
love it, only thing i dont like are trees growing from rocks jeje
I know, but in the mountains where I live we see trees growing out of rocks all the time. Pretty amazing! lol.

Thanks for the reply! I enjoy Talespire and watching builds like this. If they add that type type or ability, it’s going to be even more awesome.
@@tj1993rx7 Of course! I know! I am excited to see what all gets added in the future! Thanks again and have an awesome day!
