The PDW-R in BF4 is pretty solid tbh, not the best but it is I think the only 5.56 weapon in the PDW class so it does reach out a bit farther than a lot of the others, and still had some great close-range potential due to its high fire rate.

You can get a pinpoint accurate artillery strike with the infiltration kit flare gun by pulling the trigger (after you've already shot it) over your target. Just make sure to aim the gun over your target/objective location and not directly into it.
ohhhh the PDW-R.... the memories! btw, this weapon has identical damage stats of Carbines from BF4, yet it retains the handling stats of PDW's- it's actually one of the most versatile weapons in the game- definately super underrated
2:20 it kinda sucks if you have a gun that needs 2 shots to kill, but the magazine doesn't have an even number of bullets, the rsc has 6 so it's better for 2 shot kills.
I still play BF4 regularly, and the PDW isn't really forgotten. I play a ton of Locker, and that gun seems to pop up in every match. It's actually a very well rounded weapon.

I bought BF:Hardline for SOCOM 16 as it's one of my fav weapons ever :D I think your bullet drop off was caused by AP rounds since it has the best "range" statistic out of the DMRs
