That's something I've always complained about in Battlefield 1. The bullets don't go where you aim and shoot... At all. Even 4 feet away from someone with an MG majority of the bullets will probably miss while aiming directly at them. And I've seen people say, "Yeah, it's WW1, the guns weren't as advanced." Like... Bro?
Fun fact about the first weapon: C96 carbine did NOT had automatic fire mode, BUT! The modified C96, M712 SchnellFeuer (Rapid Fire), had an automatic fire feature, and its fire rate was close or even 1000 rounds per minute. To put it in the perspective, it had a 20 round mag and under 2 seconds of full automatic fire you could empty it out. Another feature that M712 had was its holster stock. Youd keep the weapon in its holster, and mount holster stock to the weapon to make it a carbine, and you could control tje full auto recoil a bit. If it werent for the stock, you probably couldnt hit anything in front of you with with full auto.
Man, I remember unlocking the Trench Carbine when it first came out. It feels similar to the M1903 Experimental from BF1 and that was my favorite Scout rifle. Slap a scope on that bad boy and I’m your huckleberry

Picking the QBZ as the underrated weapon for BF4 is a bit of a long shot, as most of the other weapons have a much better TTK, and it just doesn’t perform well in my opinion. Now, in its defense, it is a very accurate AR, and can be good for less experienced players. However, there are better AR’s available to fill the same niche. top examples being the AUG-A3 and SAR-21. Very accurate, low recoil guns, the SAR being a Sniper hunter, and the AUG being a jack of all trades, master of none gun works pretty well. If I were to choose an underrated BF4 weapon, I would either choose the GROZA-1 carbine, as it has a 30 damage max at close range and thus can 4 shot, where others take 5 or more. I will admit it falls off at longer ranges due to recoil and a low bullet velocity, but it’s close range capability makes up for it. My other pick would definitely be the JS2 PDW, as it is the second least used gun in BF4, but it packs a nasty punch in the right hands. Decent recoil, good damage, a decently quick reload, and 900 rpm makes this thing a TTK beast.
Reason you rarely see the QBZ-95 is it requires you complete the campaign. I forget which ending it is, I believe it's where you don't do anything at the end and the ship blows up. Which is likely why most people don't have it. Between the campaign mode being awful and it being the one ending where you do nothing and there's likely a good number of people who don't know you don't have to make a choice. I remember unlocking it back in it's heyday and it was an excellent gun. Can't say it was better than the meta of the ACE 23, AEK-971, or anything like that. But very manageable recoil even with no attachments, full auto, burst, and semi auto for firing modes. It was well balanced. Definitely would put it in the under rated category but don't know if I'd say it was the most under rated gun of the game. Wouldn't call the Trench Carbine the most underrated in BFV. A lot of people use it because the high ammo count coupled with the Sniper trait to mark enemies from afar. While the P08 Carbine is stronger at range the C96 can waste them quicker up close because of the fire rate. I'd likely say the Selbstlader M1916 in the Assault Class is the most underrated. It's the slowest firing semi auto rifle next to the Johnson but matches the Johnson if you get the Trigger Job specialization. But it's a solid 3 hit kill at most distances and has 25 rounds in a magazine. Not quite as great as it was in BF1 but far better than people give it credit for in BFV. As for BF1, the Farquar-Hill is a great gun but the 1907 SL Sweeper was better with the exception of damage at range and the Selbstlader M1916 was better all around so if it went unused it was namely due to it's lack of a proper niche. I'd still say the General Liu rifle is the most under rated. Only had 6 shots and took 3 shots to kill in the normal firing mode, but if you used it's alternate mode it would 2 hit kill at any distance or 1 hit kill to the head just like the Gewher M.95 would. So, this allowed you as a medic to really properly counter snipe and play a bit of the DMR role. While I think it's normal fire mode sucks because it takes 3 hits to kill and only has 6 rounds to play with, it had a moderately good ROF up close that you could win a good number of the gun fights if you spammed the trigger.
To be fair, at least half those shots with the Hill wasn't random bullet deviation, it was you getting Battlefielded as me and my buddies call it 😂 you can also get Battlefielded by not being able to vault over a two foot high barrier

Im a new player thanks to PSPLUS FOR MAY. The Trench Carbine is so OP with a 2x scope. I took out 5 - 6 ppl at medium range with it... the fact u can go full auto makes it a laser sniper🙆♂️
I’ll never say it enough but the Farquhar-Hill is a melt machine. It’s just so goddamn good. The Howell Auto is good but the damage for the Hill is just better

In fact, it isn't a C96 carbine. For sure, the C96 carbine is also in the game, but this is a Mauser M1917 Trench carbine. They look similar, but most internal parts aren't interchangeable. By the way: The C96 Carbine is my absolute favorite weapon in BF1. (I know, the M1917 performs better, but i like the C96 carbine more because of it's iron sights.)

I started playing BFV about half a year ago and at the beginning I played the Trench Carbine all the time. It's such a good weapon.

The FAMAS in bf4 is also pretty underrated, it has really high fire rate and good damage but I rarely (if at all) see anyone use it.

In Brazilian PS4 bf1 server,almost every médic runs with the Far quil or the auto 8(Also has some federov players)
I use the storm variant of Farquhar and it is easily my favorite Medic gun in the game!

Automatic C96 irl - ridiculously quick rate of fire, so high that it's almost unusable
