    Cherish your father / son builds folks.
    My dad Tony was an amazing engineer and sadly passed away this year. This bike will be a lasting reminder of his skill and the great times we spent together working in the garage.

      +Declan Burke Amazing motorcycle build!
      I'm building/reviving a motorcycle with my dad at the moment. Not a engineer, but a amazing man non the less. You made me realize that i need to cherish these moments. Thank you! And may your dad rest in peace.

    Not a lot of people can image how much work has been put into this. I love the amount of detail you both put in this bike.

    Bad Ass, Brilliant, looks like it's moving when it's standing still. A beast to be sure.

      Declan Burke I'm working on a 79 gs750 that I bought as a hardtail. Stock airbox has been eliminated, so I want to go with K&N pods and a MAC 4-1 exhaust. What jet adjustments did you make? I've heard both stock or 17.5 pilots with 117.5 mains and the needle adjusted to position 4. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Fantastic build!

    Wonderful. I see you left the left pillion footrest hoop. Perhaps you consider 2 into two bilateral exhaust?

    • @declanburke4146
      @declanburke4146  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Angus Davies thanks! Yep left the hoops in place as didn't want to hack the frame too much and nice to have the option for twin pipes if I ever get the urge 😃

    I still own mine for just over thirty years now. Bought it from a good friend that took good care of it. I'm doing a modest resto now. Motor has been blasted, heat clearcoated and covers buffed out. Frame is repainted and a new seat cover. I need to put her back together and have the spokes relaced. Can't find origional exaust but mine are'nt too bad. I might put headers on it. What brand and where can I purchase the ones you have? 50,764 miles and it still runs great. Trying to keep it origional as possible. Thanks for any response.

    very well done! I chopped the back end of my gs 850 off in the same spot . but I also made it a bobber. buut I can always change that up! where did you get your gaskets? my motor is currently torn down.. and how did you polish that thing up so nice? haha

  • @GF_Burke
    @GF_Burke 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Awesome bro. I have a 550 that's pretty close to this build. Although, were is your battery? ha.
    I'd like to remove my side plastic covers and have that space open too.

      Also, I'd like to get rid of the airbox. where can I order those K&N filters for the carbs?

  • @JKMediaCorp
    @JKMediaCorp 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Beautiful... I'm doing an '81 myself. Can you tell me what you ordered from Harrison? I was thinking about getting the 2K1 facia 4 piston for mine... did you use the same caliper in the back? What rotors did you use all around? and did you need to fab a rear bracket? Thanks for any help in advance.

    • @declanburke4146
      @declanburke4146  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers buddy.
      If you speak to Dave at Harrison Billet he'll advise on what callipers you need. They supplied me a standard twin-pot calliper for the rear and I sent them the measurements to manufacture a one-off rear hanger/bracket. Disks are standard EBC options for GS750 model.

    Hi. I have a Suzuki GS 850 from 1981 that I have converted into a coffee racer. I installed conical filters in the air intake and had serious problems of mixing and carburization, which results in loss of power to the engine. I could help with some tips on what I should do. Thanks and greetings from Chile

    thanks.....salud !!!!!

    • @declanburke4146
      @declanburke4146  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The wheels use a GS1000 front and rear hub to my knowledge, they have Akront rims and were built by Hagon. I was lucky enough to pick them up from an ex-race bike on eBay.

    • @declanburke4146

      josh kidd they are Akront rims built by Hagon, basically race wheels off a GS1000. I paid a few quid for them off eBay a few years ago!
