as someone with OCD who deals primarily with ordering/patterns/lists (AKA “perfectionism”), I relate to this except instead of sobbing i freeze and/or dissociate because the work i’m doing now feels pointless, almost as if I’m starting from square one. i understand the devastation though as it often really does feel like something is wrong. at my job i have a physical checklist, and when people do things out of order (“didn’t have time” to do things on start of list) it drives me insane.

I'm a woman in her 50s, and I see so much of myself in Rafael. To me, he's just a perfectionist and I totally understand his being upset. Funny thing is, my sister, who's a trauma counselor, said to me recently, "You're OCD." I thought it was funny and just brushed it off. Could I really be OCD? Maybe that's why I'm such a good news editor.
Well, do you think you're gonna die if you don't do some things your brain wants you to do ? Or your familly is gonna die ? Or something terrible will happen ? If so, you have ocd. It's not just like "Oh, I like perfect things." You can have ocd and be messy, too. You can be a perfectionist and not have ocd.

I absolutely love Rafael! At tender of five, he is fiercely quoteworthy. Just a few examples: "What, is it hard boiled?" (referring to an egg) He is incredibly observant. "I made a zombie". (I personally just love plots involving Zombies) "Don't give her another one." (she's gonna break it) "It's a beautiful de-design". He is trying sooooo hard to be nice to his baby sister. He is possibly more thoughtful and considerate than most adults.
Watching this video helps because I also have ocd as well . I can't really explain what ocd feels like but I can tell you this . It's like when you have an itch on your skin you keep scratching it but it comes back. I'm happy that I'm not alone

as someone with OCD who deals primarily with ordering/patterns/lists (AKA “perfectionism”), I relate to this except instead of sobbing i freeze and/or dissociate because the work i’m doing now feels pointless, almost as if I’m starting from square one. i understand the devastation though as it often really does feel like something is wrong. at my job i have a physical checklist, and when people do things out of order (“didn’t have time” to do things on start of list) it drives me insane.
@@DonkeyLipsDA3rd Funny how I would do mine tomorrow-due at midnight then sleep less than 4 hours and I would always forget to write my name in it and do it at the presentation so drowsy it looked like I misspelled my own name, I remember people would laugh and I would even push them to. I hated the focus they had on writing beautifully (even more so in Brazil, cursive is the standard here) when the objective of the writing system is to be readable and written fast.
How much youtube took me here, i will never know.
Aside from the adorableness, the one thing that stands out here is that you seem like a terrific mother. Its hard to be patient + understanding and firm and in control at the same time, but you certainly seem to be all of those things!
I have OCD myself, but I am almost forty. You sound like a very patient and loving mother, you push but in the right direction. Rafael seems like a very bright and kind boy, good job young man.
I have OCD too and felt the same way as Rafael, its definitely hard to contain anger and discomfort which was impressive that he did
I'm not a big fan of kids but the sister is soooo adorable. How she laughs and how she wants to clean the table is unbelievably cute😭😭 this makes me wanna have kids who are as smart & cute as yours!😌
2:07 when she starts laughing just because her bro started laughing :'( just so sweet. Sweet kiddos
He is good big brother! Despite his difficulties, he is really trying and that’s really sweet!
His expression on his face when she broke the egg at 0:59 had me dying of laughter😂😂🤣
I really love how he’s trying to stay calm with his sister even though it’s obvious that he’s irritated. He’s so sweet❤️
1:36 LOL “don’t give her one.” 💀
They are both so adorable. It seems like he is really trying to be patient with his sister and calm himself down. Hes so intelligent for his age!
The girl is really good therapy exposure for him and his OCD
when the baby reacted to the broken crayon I wonder if she learned to be dramatic about it from her brother. Seemed like a learned response. This is fascinating, thanks so much for sharing they are adorable kids!
id say its decent, hes trying to not care what i can see in the vid. i bet he will beat ocd when hes older
them laughing together at the end was really sweet
these are the cutest kids ever omg.
Love how despite being frustrated with his sister he still genuinely says loving remarks, very well raised guy
Rafael won't be a messy man when he's older
I'VE BEEN WAITIN FOR THIS SEQUEL FOR YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude don't let him do this.
Have some kind of boundaries set up instead of enabling this behavior.
"Let's just film him and put him on TH-cam."
We daily vlog so this was just another daily vlog, except this happened so it because a video about how he deals with OCD with exposure therapy - being that he has a sister to trigger him constantly.
@@FoolyLiving And it HAS to be put on TH-cam for profit?
Or that's just a decision HE made?
(it would be a lot harder to start a TH-cam channel if your son Didn't have OCD....just a thought...it would be harder to get views)
But that's just how it comes across
they’re both so smart and absolutely adorable :)
0:36 awe the quick smile
I have OCD and this is so relatable, I love cooking but when people try to cook with me and don't follow the instructions perfectly it annoys me so much, now I just cook during my own time. He does such a good job with coping with his feelings!
That’s not ocd
Man, I love my kiddos so much and they have grown my heart in ways I never knew were possible. I've seen several of his videos and I just want to tell this little guy that's it's all going to be ok. I need to check out his daily vlog. The way you communicate to him and calm him shows me areas where I can grow.
Imagine having half of this kid's self control at his age!!
it is so obvious this boy is brilliant. i cant tell he will grow up to do wonderful things
“That’s why kids, umm... don’t do kids.”- Cat man who hates children
Oh, my goodness, Rafael is the best! He reminds me of my son, a bit. Way to go, managing the stress, dude!
"What? Is it hard boiled?" I was sharing his nervousness. I thought it was uncooked, too!
I don't have much experience with 5 year olds but this kid seems very intelligent and articulate for someone his age.
They're so cute and adorable😚
"Noooooooooo!" so sweet! keep it up little man, you are doing great!!
yo, i dont see anything wrong here.
this is a normal emotionally invested child,
smart and empathatic.
I absolutely love Rafael! At tender of five, he is fiercely quoteworthy. Just a few examples:
"What, is it hard boiled?" (referring to an egg) He is incredibly observant.
"I made a zombie". (I personally just love plots involving Zombies)
"Don't give her another one." (she's gonna break it)
"It's a beautiful de-design". He is trying sooooo hard to be nice to his baby sister.
He is possibly more thoughtful and considerate than most adults.
0:11 when you die in fortnite to a kid then they proceed to donkey laugh on you.
Lol
The “was it hard boiled” with love for the little guy that was just comedy gold. Make a Raphael’s best moments
I love you guys!!!!!
he reminds me so much of my little brother, and the way you handle the situation is amazing ❤
He try’s so hard to smile through his frustration,
Watching this video helps because I also have ocd as well . I can't really explain what ocd feels like but I can tell you this . It's like when you have an itch on your skin you keep scratching it but it comes back. I'm happy that I'm not alone
HES SO STRESSED I CANT LOL
What’s so funny?
please don't laugh
I hope I die and get laughed at
these kids are so precious omg
