3:05 I just noticed in the last second that Quagmire was on his phone while everyone cried over Brian’s death and burial. Wow, he really hates Brian so much that he’d rather watch whatever is on his phone than pay respects for him despite knowing how devastated the entire Griffin family is. That’s a whole new low, even for him, and yet he claims to be better than Brian.
It was definitely sad when they killed off Brian. But at least Seth MacFarlane only planned it to be temporary, because it would've been all too easy for them to never bring Brian back at all.
Kind of notice that RetroNemo and Tom haven’t been on the Roundtable for two to three years considering Vox has been the one doing the voiceover narrations on most videos. Besides shouldn’t the channel thumbnail change considering Nemo and Tom aren’t on the channel anymore?
@@isaiahnaegi645I don’t know I know Nemo is focusing on his music career according to some folks who follow him. Not sure about Tom, but Nemo’s last video was on a Total Drama Island video in March/April of 2023 and afterwards he disappeared.
2013 really was a year of twists in the seth mcfarlane universe, first half, jeff from american dad got abducted, second half, the death and resurrection of brian
I would’ve felt better if Quagmire was consoling the Griffins more. I can’t blame him for not being sad that Brian died, that’s his feelings, but you still try to be there for your friends.
This 3 episode arc was completely pointless if you ask me. They killed off a fan favorite character just to bring him back a few weeks later? And if you think about it, it was basically a middle finger to the audience. Basically the crew members saying “HAHA! FOOLED YA, DIDN’T WE???”
For deaths that had to stick, it’s kind of cool that Angela’s immediate replacement(s) weren’t permanent, that it took a second boss change to find permanence
I always feel that Quagmire is the indirect mastermind behind the whole trying to kill brian, that’s my headcanon I picture the whole plan like this, Quagmire met ernie in a bar, the two started talking about how they hate brian and peter respectively, and they unexpectedly saw Vinny sad that his owner’s gonna die soon, so Quagmire told Vinny that Ernie’s gonna drive him and his owner to the hospital and Ernie said he knows a shortcut(in reality, he’s gonna pass by spooner st.), and when Vinny left, Ernie told Quagmire that if running over a stray white dog will make him feel better, and Quagmire responded with yes, So Ernie has a mercedes-benz car(the same car that ran over brian), but it doesn’t has a license plate in the front because he’s having it fixed, he used the car to pick up Vinny and his Owner and they went to spooner street as a shortcut to the hospital, so when Ernie saw Brian, knowing that Peter being sad that Brian’s dead would be perfect for him to win in his fight against peter, so like in the episode, he ran over brian(and probably adam west)
I swear I remember the PR team essentially lying and saying "the voice actor of Vinny already recorded 12 more episodes this season" and nonody brings this up anymore
Yeah, i remember hearing the news back i 2013. And i refuses to believe it at first, but then i looked it up. And i just felt so devastated about it! 😢
My favorite joke after this was the random pop up blurb that said something along the lines of "fans lost their minds when Brian was killed off, but you aren't missing him in this episode".
At the time, I thought Vinny was related to the dog Brian ran over in the early seasons and he ran over Brian as revenge and just happened to be brought to the pound where he is adopted by the griffins.
Two weird moments, the road to the multiverse had a similar fate for human brian who decided to live in the prime universe, but died offscreen from a car, there was a cameo of vinny in later episode still in a kennel.
That’s when I realized I was almost done. After he came back, I was like clearly they aren’t willing to change the status quo. Haven’t watched an episode in like a decade.
Funny story: When they first announced it I thought it was gonna be Chris. Peter Lois Stewie and Meg were mentioned in the description of the Simpsons crossover which wasn't gonna air til the season after and I was positive they couldn't kill Brian. But maybe it should've been Chris considering that he's the most pointless Griffin
I remember when I had a hard time watching that episode, cause I have a high fear of blood,I might be able to watch it these days, cause the bloodiest cartoon I watch is helluva boss,so I feel like I can watch this episode now and be ok-ish,but yeah I did see that they killed off brian and I also saw alot of fans upset over this (which is weird cause these days everyone hates brian and wished he stayed dead) kinda ironic that people hate him these days but when this episode everyone was crying over this dog,the very same character they now hate
There were ironically two other times brian died, First Stew and stewies excellent adventure via eating chocolate and meeting Kurt Koban and Vincent Vango in heaven, then there road to vegas where counterparts of stewie and brian die and meet in heaven.
tbh I always have more respect for series and showrunners that don't retcon huge changes like this. Going "haha just kidding back to normal" is too easy. I liked Vinny too.
Yeah killing Brian is what broken and is what ruined the show but if family guy ended after that I would be dumb founded but wondering why did the show end like that
You should make a video on the other Family Guy three parters. Stewie Griffin The Untold Story and the other three parter where Brian was kicked out by the family because of a tweet.
Call me crazy but considering the cheap outcome after his death episode, they should've used a different character instead of Brian, like Meg or Chris. That way it would really hit close to home for the griffins with them not coming back. Besides, they're not really relevant as they used to be.
Quagmire's hatred of brian was so hypocritical. He hated brian for lusting after lois, but the central plot of several epjsodes was quagmire being obsessed with lois to th epoint of sexually harrassinf her. Hes no better than brian
It was a dang stunt, people. A sweeps week sort of thing. The fact it's made more of an impact than big plot twists or big reveals of other cartoons is the reason why I'm pretty dang sick of this meme. Let it DIE, people.
I may have an unpopular opinion but i felt he should've stayed dead longer than he did. It was only for what 1 season. I thought thatvwas kinda lame. Like if you're gonna do it, then do it. Killing him then bringing him right back loses it's affect.
You kill 100 Peter Griffins, everything's just fine, but you kill 1 dog, and everyone loses their minds!
Pets, there deaths hit harder for a lot of people.

They did kill Brian, they killed his soul. He was a shell of his former self after this.
WAY before that
It was definitely sad when they killed off Brian. But at least Seth MacFarlane only planned it to be temporary, because it would've been all too easy for them to never bring Brian back at all.

What happened to them anyway?
@@isaiahnaegi645I don’t know I know Nemo is focusing on his music career according to some folks who follow him. Not sure about Tom, but Nemo’s last video was on a Total Drama Island video in March/April of 2023 and afterwards he disappeared.
I often forget there were other people besides Vox on the channel. Can it even be considered a roundtable anymore?
Yea I heard nemo was in school I don't know much about it though. I think he has his own channel.
At least they showed that Vinnie was touring with Olivia in the new timeline.
2013 really was a year of twists in the seth mcfarlane universe, first half, jeff from american dad got abducted, second half, the death and resurrection of brian
Oh No! Brian!
Oh noooooooooooo 😐
I wish he stayed gone. He just became a terrible living being.
True
Ok Quagmire
True. They should've at least made him gone long enough to where it meant something
I would’ve felt better if Quagmire was consoling the Griffins more. I can’t blame him for not being sad that Brian died, that’s his feelings, but you still try to be there for your friends.

It was messed up, if you asked me. They emotionally manipulated us!
I prefer the other three parter that involve Brian. The one where he was kicked out by the family after posting a terrible tweet.
Honestly, I prefer Vinny. He's cool and love the Italian mobster gimmick he was. Wish he stayed.
Imagine if they brought back Vinney, he would've been Brian wingman.
For deaths that had to stick, it’s kind of cool that Angela’s immediate replacement(s) weren’t permanent, that it took a second boss change to find permanence
It was surprisingly nice to hear Brian tell his family he had a wonderful life and he loves them, I was not expecting that.
Brian and Adam West 😢
He died around the time Paul Walker passed too. That was a mess of a time
I cried when Brian died.
Same
I remember how this happened…and I felt so angry when they brought him back just two episodes later
I always feel that Quagmire is the indirect mastermind behind the whole trying to kill brian, that’s my headcanon

Remember all the fanart and tattoos made about Brian’s death?
Pretty sure we were all kicking ourselves for that.
That first line in this video, Louis sounded a bit like Double D to me….but why thought? 🤔💭
The episode itself is so strange, it feels like it isn’t real, or like a lost episode
Did Seth MacFarlane mention this will teach you a lesson not to take things for granted
0:00 what’s the song in the intro called?
I can’t seem to escape this topic
Yeah, i remember hearing the news back i 2013. And i refuses to believe it at first, but then i looked it up. And i just felt so devastated about it! 😢
This shit was so sad at the time I remember the outrage like it was yesterday
Does Anybody Wonder Who Was The One Who Ran-over Brian?
That edit at the beginning went hard
My favorite joke after this was the random pop up blurb that said something along the lines of "fans lost their minds when Brian was killed off, but you aren't missing him in this episode".
6:12 can someone tell me what this song is ??
At the time, I thought Vinny was related to the dog Brian ran over in the early seasons and he ran over Brian as revenge and just happened to be brought to the pound where he is adopted by the griffins.
VERY happy Brian came back!
BRIAN, LOOK OUT!!!
Funny story: When they first announced it I thought it was gonna be Chris. I remember watching this live with no idea about this and was in pure shock... this ultimately killed my interest in Family Guy for years
Tariq's probably pissed he didn't get to do this first 😭
His death wasn’t that sad to be honest
What makes this publicity stunt worse is that Brian became even more unbearable upon his return.
tbh I always have more respect for series and showrunners that don't retcon huge changes like this. Going "haha just kidding back to normal" is too easy. I liked Vinny too.
This just goes to show that fandoms are just too powerful.
I was in boot camp and my friend wrote me a letter telling me that Brian griffin and Paul walker died
Call me crazy but considering the cheap outcome after his death episode, they should've used a different character instead of Brian, like Meg or Chris. That way it would really hit close to home for the griffins with them not coming back. Besides, they're not really relevant as they used to be.
Nooooooo briannnn
Brian’s dead?
İt should have been me 😭😭😭 not braine
How on earth did this traumatize people? We literally know how terrible Brian is.
Fax
Quagmire's hatred of brian was so hypocritical. He hated brian for lusting after lois, but the central plot of several epjsodes was quagmire being obsessed with lois to th epoint of sexually harrassinf her. Hes no better than brian
That was such a heartbreaking episode!!!! 😭😭😭😭💔
i remember having my dad record this episode
Vinny did make a cameo in one of the newer episodes with Stewie and Olivia z
Do' Not's Worry' Here Why
So This Cartoon Have Super Powers
Can' Do' Back To A Life From The Dea'd''
I want a video on the many major deaths on South Park with some recognizable characters being killed off!
It didn't matter because it wasn't permanent
It's not as though the series improved when Brian came back
As the video shows, Brian is a Bad Father was like, the first focus episode upon his resurrection. Like a hatchet
"Me and my friends get no respect"
Do Analysis Videos on DC’s Creature Commandos next!
Considering he was getting worse later on, I'd rather see him gone. Vinnie deserved better then 3 episodes.
Imagine if they did bring Viney back. He could be Brian wingman.
No likes this early you fell off.. jk notice me jk don’t too parasocial
I was more sad that they brought him back, honestly...
What I find funny is that we got an episode about Brian giving Stewie and Chris herpes shortly after. Lol was Brian worth bringing back?
I thought people like the dog that replaced Bryan.
Brian dying was the end of family guy!
Hi
0:12
Wait? I thought it was resolved and Brian came back to life or some shit. Don't really gaf but i swear he's in the newer episodes?
Broke in a bad way. Like Brian became a far worse character. Also this whole thing was a huge stunt
What a cheap move to get rid of Brian
It was a dang stunt, people. A sweeps week sort of thing. The fact it's made more of an impact than big plot twists or big reveals of other cartoons is the reason why I'm pretty dang sick of this meme. Let it DIE, people.
The one episode Brian wasn’t in at all was one of the best.
I may have an unpopular opinion but i felt he should've stayed dead longer than he did. It was only for what 1 season. I thought thatvwas kinda lame. Like if you're gonna do it, then do it. Killing him then bringing him right back loses it's affect.
Wait is Regis gonna be permanent? Or…
You should cover rhe attempted murder of Mr. Burns
Oh no they killed Brian. Anyone you guys wanna get something to eat
BRIAN LOOK OUT
Nah, the show was well and gone years before any of that.
Big nothing burger.
I cry when Brian dead
BRIANLOOKOUT
I like cheese
Uh oh
Never take anyone who says "mid" seriously
Lol
Was Reeves actually watching Brian's death or was it edited to look that way?
I remember how this happened…and I felt so angry when they brought him back just two episodes later
