I like the ladder and rack set up. Looks like it's good and sturdy. Angling it is a good move too. Looks sweet! It's nice to have friends with tools and skills.
May = storm time in Texas. Just dealt with that on my last trip. lol. I’m really enjoying your van life posts! Thanks for the work involved in bringing us them. The ladder is brilliant! ✌️
Thanks, Jerry! That last storm in Lubbock was a bit concerning. I actually turned the van around so the windshield was facing away from the direction the wind and hail was coming from (I didn't film that, heh). I was really hoping the hail didn't get any bigger in that storm. Fortunately, it stayed pea-sized. I need to watch your latest video!
@@lovedogsontheloose Wow! I'm glad to hear the hail stayed small. I know how large they often get around here. Our house has had the roof replaced three times.😵💫
Thanks! An added benefit to this mod is that I can now access my fresh water inlet cap easier, as the ladder goes right over the top of it. Now I can pull the ladder away from it when I fill it. I'm really grateful to my friend who came up with the idea and made it work!
Good old West Texas thunderstorms.... I almost miss them... Almost!!!

It sure is. This particular friend worked on planes in the Air Force and is absolutely brilliant when it comes to stuff like this. I’m learning a lot.
Midwest is the best place on earth. Enjoy your R&R with the folks.
It’s definitely ranked high on my list, though I may be biased. :) Thanks, Sue. Hope you’re well.
