his video is a powerful reminder of the hard work and dedication of farmers. The vast fields, the powerful machinery, and the efficient harvest process are all a testament to their skill and expertise. It's inspiring to see the fruits of their labor.
Absolutely. I've always found it interesting to listen to my dad tell stories about how his dad had to do things before modern machinery and satellite technology.
I'm not sure. I'm not the farmer. I do know that this particular field is actually at least two individual fields (with different owners; my dad is one) that this farmer rents. Fencing and trees make for a fairly awkward place to plant.
Not sure this answers your question, but this was actually two fields with end rows and fencing between. They took out the end rows first to get into each field.
@@raincoast9010 Gotcha. I had to rewatch a bit to see what you mean.I think what you're referring to is how he's gotten to the turn rows (around 0:22?)? I think he's trying to clear the turn rows first, but he's trying not to waste any corn so he's going into those rows that go the opposite direction a little bit first in order to get to that first turn row. Not sure I explained that very well, but that'd be my best guess.
I've always heard it referred to as field corn around here, but I think that's what you meant. It can be used for livestock feed but it's also used as an ingredient in lots of foods that we humans consume, like corn oil, syrup, starch, cereals, etc. It can also be used in ethanol production. Lots of uses.
Just wondering if this farm is your livelihood or just a hobby?? I’ve seen plenty of farming videos but never where they make designs in the corn. I guess as long as it’s all harvested that’s what counts. 😁

@@SmartFarm99-k5t This is exactly what I wanted to show. Thanks.
Harvesting with modern machinery is very effective! But it is also indispensable for the perseverance and ingenuity of the driver who made this video.

@@Railfan6675 Thanks for watching!
Kind of an ASMR video. Love it! Love the flag too even tho I'm a Lions fan 😌🏈.
Well, we won't hold that against you. ;-)
Looked like one mighty awkward field to open up.
Go the Chiefs!
Go Chiefs! Nice video folks. Loved the pickin’ and the corn picking.

I really enjoyed that! Love the overhead perspective. You really put this together nicely and the music was perfect!

Thank you for watching.
Is there a reason this field was planted in this manner? I've never seen anything like it

Guess there must have been a reason to open the field like that?

@@lovedogsontheloose Thanks, it's just that usually to open a field you go around the outside or up the middle and around the outside.

@@raincoast9010 Or he might've just been bored. 😂 I know it doesn't help that these fields are such an awkward geometry.
This is great. So this is feed corn, correct?

@@lovedogsontheloose Yes. It’s the same.
Is it me, or does this look like white corn vs yellow?
I'm not sure. It very well could be.

@@SteveSanders-SPB-FL It’s not my farm. It’s a local farmer in the small town where I grew up.
I loved it, the combine operator seemed to be having a lot of fun. Great video.
At 13:17 you can see all the mice or something else running out the end of the last rows. Kinda crazy
@@komatsuguru Yeah, I saw that too.
