There's a lot of lore about the Dungeon sets. For instance the Magister's Regalia (mage D1) was crafted by the Kirin Tor and only worn by Dalaran's elite.
There was this epic sword you could craft back in vanilla by combining two rares in Zul'Farrak. I believe it was called Sul'Thraze The Lasher, maybe you could make a video about that since it was pretty unique back then. I was lucky enough to craft it back then but since I got it one my hunter I foolishly deleted it xD
The more I watch this stuff, the more I yearn for classic. Retail just feels like the typical games as a service that's the thing nowadays with rpg elements behind it. I miss the big fantastical adventure I had when I joined in wrath... Oh well, gaming today, I guess...
A fury warrior would want weapons of equal speed ideally, to give you an "extra" charge of flurry, since they'd swing at the same time. It would also help to make the off-hand eat fewer charges of flurry.
finally someone mentioning Felstriker. I played a rogue for 6-7 years from Vanilla to WOTLK and that's the most OP item in the game for me. I got lucky to get it before even reaching 60. Back then and with rogues already being OP about 99% of ppl had 0 chance in pvp. In TBC i used it in BGs with Ironfoe and Hand of Justice... oooh the good 'ol times... especially before S1 and resilience gear.. it was like cheating...
Unstoppable force , Teebu's , Headmaster's Charge, Ashkandi , Perdition's Blade, Hanzo/Assassination blade, Phantom Blade, Sword of Omen, Krol Blade, Maladath, Hakkari Warblades , Ancient Bone Bow, Heartstriker , Dragonbreath Hand Cannon, any PvP weapon... So many choices.
Great idea to shed light on the lesser known items. I think we’ve all had our fill of the Talisman of the binding shard and other legendaries at this point.
Too bad they didnt have their phasing tech they use for arathi/DS/blasted lands then both pre cata and post story could be enjoyed without the awkward jump to outland or northrend

Back in vanilla I had the full rank 13 set on my fury warrior, and with the guild we ran UBRS and the carapace dropped. I said you guys can have it (they were all alts) And they said, NO you take it you will need it for rag and BWL. So I took it and I completed the quest. I had more health than most tanks due to my gear when i looted the blood of heroes I could just solo the elites. Due to having so much health I often did not wear much fire res, dont know if that was the right decision lol!
Grats on 100k! You should do an AV weapon episode! The Unstoppable Force and The Immovable Object, that rare spear with blue glow for hunters or Runeblade of Baron Rivendare and Headmaster's Charge are nice, but please do one of my all time favorite 1hand swords: Jang'thraze the Protector and Sang'thraze the Deflector to form the might Sul'thraze the Lasher, they just look really cool!

I love your videos you make lore quests and dungeons seems so interesting, I like as well how the long quest chains to get epic weapons seems so rewarding and special you get the sense of seeing someone with the epic weapon and being like oh he's worked really hard for that and he must be a good player it adds to the immersion within game, it a nice change from these days we're it like everyone is given everything nothing is special
I remember getting the swords back in BC when I first started playing and found a guild that would do "old" content regularly...I was so excited wearing them around Iron forge on my rogue. lol
This shows the alure of Vanilla. Weapons and Armor to remember. Newer expansions did have that less and less. Even now, after all those years, looking at those stats, i think they are amazing. Very low compared to the stats we have now. But the stats we have now are all completely meaningless to me. In vanilla they meant something.
This series is awesome! Havent been playing WoW in years, but enjoying immensely. Love these small, but dedicated and knowledgeable channels like yours in TH-cam. Keep up the good work!
Chode Meister same here, so excited to go back to what made sense compared to live retail today. Feel like things are to “convenient” now a days. Seems like the made it so professions mean nothing, you are full epic the day after you hit max level, and there is zero social aspect to the game... blows my mind all the changes they made. Wish they just leveled out a few ability’s here and there not delete complete ideas.
@@dew7972 It's going to be amazing to go back. When people actually talked to each other in game. You see the same people on your server and learn who people are. The game now is so far from the original idea that I can't even play it.

I think some good vanilla weapon additions to add to this series: Ironfoe, Dark Iron Pulverize, The Earthshaker, Hand of Edward the odd, Nightfall, Ravager, The Warden Staff, just to name a few.
I feel like you should include Shields in your list of iconic weapons. It is technically armor, but I feel they apply to the Azeroth Arsenal. Like the Reinforced Elementium Bulwark or the Draconian Deflector. So stories about noteworthy shields would be awesome!
Dal'rends were pre-raid BiS for hunters solely because the extra 5 agility from +15 agi enchants and 2x brilliant mana oil. Made them about 2% crit 110RAP and 24 mp/5. though fighting with rogues and fury warriors or trying to form a group without any was not worth the effort. just got the Barbarous Blade insead because fuck ret palas and arms warriors amirite?
You awaked some nostalgic memories of a friend who stolen my polearm, and the carapace Im still best friend, but we play on Elysium server and both having the polearm
Have you considered doing a video including the level 51 "Win AV" quest weapons? I remember doing that on my Hunter and getting a very nice crossbow that was better than everything pre-raid since they were 60 weapons you could get early.
back then i never realised that ubrs was a raid but rather a big group. well, that was the time i haven't been in a raid yet. but funny how i get such a huge flashback when i hear the tristram theme ;)

Upgraded class armor sets from dungeons! Doing the upgraded Lightforged set and Wildheart set took up so much of my time in High School.

Well Cataclysm retconned some stuff and kinda marks the beginning of the "modern era" of WoW's story.
Breaking down old boss loot tables is a cool angle for this series.
